Our first pick is Riu Palace Baja California, an adults-only all-inclusive. It’s right next to its sister property, the Riu Palace Cabo, which we’ll discuss in a bit, but it definitely feels like its own separate, quieter world. Better yet, we loved being able to hang out by the shore without the usual resort chaos.

It boasts four gorgeous pools, and you can bet we were making splashes there whenever we could. The two infinity pools, though, are the MVPs, especially with the swim-up bar right there. When we weren’t just lounging, we also checked out the Renova Spa and even hit a RiuFit class at the gym to stay somewhat active. The resort also has water sports specifically for adults and live music or shows every night.

Apart from the abundance of pools, it also has six different restaurants and bars to choose from. We had a great Italian meal at Roma and a really good steakhouse dinner at Krystal. Before calling it a night, we would usually have a drink at Lounge 24, a 24-hour adults-only bar. It’s a bit more sophisticated and the perfect place to grab a cocktail and just decompress.

Villa La Estancia Beach Resort & Spa

Villa La Estancia Beach Resort & Spa is such a special place. Why? That’s because it’s set up as private villas, so we had a full gourmet kitchen and a massive living room. While the regular resort rooms are amazing, who can say no to an apartment-like space that screams luxury?

As with other top all-inclusives in Cabo with swimmable beaches, the amenities here are amazing. The massive pool was easily one of our favorite spots, and having pool butlers to help us out made the whole lounging experience a lot easier. We also made use of the fitness center. The resort even has personal trainers if you want a guided workout. Don’t forget to hit the tennis court, too.

The food was equally impressive. We had a great meal at La Casona, which offers both international and Mexican dishes, and we grabbed easy snacks and drinks at La Parrilla Grill while hanging by the pool. We also spent some time at Tatewari Bar, which has a really good selection of wine and craft cocktails.

Paradisus Los Cabos

We booked a stay at Paradisus Los Cabos at the last minute, but we didn’t regret it at all. We love this hotel! The best part was that it’s strictly adults-only and doesn’t cater to the rowdy college crowd, so we actually got some peace and quiet. The pool was great, as the water temperature was perfect for the season, and we never had to fight anyone for a lounge chair. Plus, the bars actually use top-shelf liquor instead of the cheap well pours you usually get at all-inclusives.

Since it’s not a massive facility, the dining options are a bit limited. The Asian restaurant was easily our favorite, and the Mexican spot served actual, authentic food. We also loved the food from the little mobile wagon by the bar, and on our last day, the chef made an incredible paella over a wood fire right by the pool.

During our stay, we stayed in the Garden View Junior Suite, one of the cheaper options, and we were in awe. It was way bigger than we expected, very quiet, and had a massive king-sized bed and a two-person shower. The storage space was great, too. The service was also top-notch, as staff came by twice a day to clean, empty the trash, and handle turndown service, so the room always stayed fresh.

Best for Families. Up next is Villa del Arco Beach Resort & Spa. Staying here, we were looking right at the El Arco rock formation, which was a great backdrop while we were relaxing. The resort has a mix of traditional Mexican style and modern upgrades, so it feels high-end and unique. However, we think this resort is especially charming for families. Why?

Villa del Arco has all the things you think your family needs. Aside from two massive swimming pools, there’s also a state-of-the-art gym and a kids’ club that kept our younger ones busy. And while they were having fun, we made sure to spoil ourselves at the Desert Spa for some facials and wraps. On top of that, you can also find tennis courts, scuba facilities, and nightly themed shows.

The food was another perk for us because there were plenty of options. We did a nicer gourmet dinner at Neptune one night, but we usually kept it casual at El Bucanero for lunch. Our favorite thing to do was grab a drink at El Faro bar just to catch the ocean views before heading to dinner. With three restaurants and a couple of bars on-site, we never felt like we were eating the same thing twice. That was super important as our kids can get extremely picky.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas

Living up to its name, Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas sure looks like a giant palace. However, once you’re inside, it’s actually a pretty chill spot. One of the best perks we found was that staying here gives you full access to the Riu Santa Fe next door. We spent a few afternoons over there for the wild pool parties and the water park, but it was honestly a relief to walk back to the Palace side when we wanted a more relaxed environment and better food.

The pool was definitely where we spent 90% of our spare time. The resort has these great infinity pools that look right out at the famous Arch, which makes for a killer view while you’re hanging out at the swim-up bar. Just a heads-up, though, you can’t actually swim in the ocean right at the hotel because the waves and undertow are way too dangerous. But if you’re a beach swimmer, you can take a short walk down to Medano Beach.

Throughout our stay, we didn’t have to deal with the typical headache regarding food since it’s one of the best all-inclusives in Cabo with swimmable beaches. We just showed up at the specialty restaurants like the steakhouse or the Japanese spot whenever we were hungry. The main buffet was also a great fallback with a ton of variety.

Best Value for Money. We had a blast staying at Villa del Palmar Beach Resort & Spa and were honestly impressed by how well-maintained everything was. The resort is spotless, and you can tell the staff puts everything into keeping the facilities fresh and inviting. One thing to keep in mind, though, is that the buildings date back to the 1980s, so power outlets are a bit limited. We were definitely glad we brought an extension cord along to keep our devices charged without a struggle.

The location is another big win. It’s just a short walk to the beach, and having grocery stores nearby made things super convenient. When we wanted a change of scenery, we just hopped in an Uber to the Mirador to check out the views. Since this is one of the few spots in Cabo with a swimmable beach, the all-inclusive option is a total no-brainer if you’re traveling as a family and want a break from cooking. Whether it’s a spa session or drinking by the pool, you can do anything here.

Speaking of which, the food was a highlight, especially the breakfast buffet. There was a massive spread of traditional Mexican dishes that made for a perfect start to the day. We also loved the “birdman” who walks around with a trained hawk. It’s a clever way to keep smaller birds away from your food while you eat. It’s proof that the resort actually thinks about hygiene and the local environment.

Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa has a cool traditional Mexican hacienda look, but it still feels modern and high-end. We really liked that we weren’t locked into just one way of doing things. We could go the all-inclusive route or just order à la carte, depending on how we felt that day, all while overlooking the marina.

The resort has plenty of ways to keep you busy, though we spent most of our time at the two swimming pools. The grounds are well-maintained and pretty lush, making it easy to just hang out. It also boasts a fitness center and a Kids’ Club if you’re traveling with family, and there’s a full-service spa available, too.

For food, we had six different spots to choose from. We grabbed sushi at Imomo one night and went for more traditional Mexican dishes at La Palapa the next. Our favorite part, though, was definitely the Sky Bar. We would grab a few cocktails there in the evening just to catch the views of the marina.

Pueblo Bonito Rose Resort & Spa

We recently stayed at Pueblo Bonito Rose Resort & Spa, and it’s basically a slice of old-school Italy dropped right onto Medano Beach. The resort has a classic, upscale look with those signature rose-colored walls, but it still feels modern enough to be comfortable. In fact, we think it’s one of the most Instagrammable spots in the area.

Now, let’s talk about the amenities. When you’re here, dipping in the pool is a must, but the resort also boasts a fitness center with yoga and pilates classes for those who aren’t fans of swimming. We even checked out some of the water sports on the beach. If you’re looking to relax, the spa has a ton of treatments, and at night, the place stays lively with themed events and live music.

When we were there, we definitely didn’t go hungry with five different restaurants and bars to choose from. We grabbed lunch at Mare Nostrum by the water and hit up Cilantro’s for authentic Mexican food more than once. Our nightly ritual usually ended at Fellini’s Bar for a cocktail because the atmosphere there is just really elegant.

You can’t talk about all-inclusives in Cabo with swimmable beaches without mentioning this resort, the sister property of Rose, which we just talked about. Staying at Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos Blanco Beach Resort, we were literally on Medano Beach. That was such a huge advantage for us, especially with clear views of the Sea of Cortez and El Arco.

The amenities definitely kept us busy. We spent a lot of our time at the large free-form pool, but the real winner was the semi-private beach area. It’s much quieter than the public sections of the beach, which we really appreciated. The resort also has a full-service spa, a gym, and a kids’ club, so there’s plenty to do if you’re traveling with family or just want to switch things up from lounging by the water.

When it came to food, we had plenty of options. We usually hit Las Palomas for the international buffet, but the Italian dinner at Fellini’s was the standout meal of the trip. For drinks, the poolside bar is convenient, but we recommend the Whale Watching Bar for sunset. The views there are tough to beat.

Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort & Spa

Best Location. When it comes to location, it’s hard to top Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort & Spa. Being right on Medano Bay, we actually had a swimmable beach, which isn’t always a given in Cabo. Plus, we had a direct view of Land’s End the whole time. Yes, please!

The resort had everything we needed to stay entertained. We spent most of our time between the two outdoor pools and the private beach club, which even has water sports if you’re feeling active. There’s a Saltwater Spa and a gym on-site, too. Better yet, our kids had a lot of fun at the kids’ club. In the evenings, there was usually live music or some kind of entertainment going on, so the resort stayed pretty lively after the sun went down.

Now, the variety of food here is mind-blowing. We grabbed gourmet Mexican at 12 Tribes and hit up Maydan for fresh seafood, but our go-to ended up being the Barefoot Bar & Grill. With easy beach access and amazing dining options, we didn’t feel the need to wander too far for a good time.

Breathless Cabo San Lucas

Best Amenities. Searching for an all-inclusive that’ll leave you breathless? Well, look no further than Breathless Cabo San Lucas itself! The resort’s “Live Big, Breathe Deep” motto isn’t just marketing. We spent our mornings doing beach yoga and fitness classes, and immediately made our way to the swimmable Medano Beach for some water sports. By the afternoon, we were usually back at the pool for the DJ sets and parties before grabbing sunset drinks at the rooftop bar.

The location is probably the best part about this 4-star resort. You’re right on the marina, so you’re basically in the middle of all the Cabo action, but you still have Medano Beach right on the other side of the property. When it came to food, we had plenty of options across eight different bars and restaurants. We spent most of our time at Bites for Mediterranean food and Fish Nets for seafood, and we made sure to hit up Wink Bar for their signature cocktails pretty much every night.

We decided to spend our nights in the suite, and it was larger than we thought and had a private balcony that looked right out over the marina. If the party vibe gets to be too much, you can visit the world-class spa on-site, which we definitely took advantage of to reset. This resort provides its guests with everything they need and more.
