DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bristol

Best Amenities. If you’re planning a trip to Lake Compounce, staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Bristol will make everything so much easier. It’s tucked in a location that feels like a sweet spot. It’s close enough to all the local highlights but not in the middle of chaotic traffic. We were able to drive to Lake Compounce in just a few minutes, and ESPN Headquarters was practically around the corner. We even stumbled upon the Witch’s Dungeon Classic Movie Museum.

What stood out the most was how thoughtful the little extras felt. Right at check-in, we were welcomed with a warm chocolate chip cookie. Though simple, it set the tone for the stay. The 24-hour gym wasn’t just an afterthought; it had quality equipment that made our early workout worth it. And after a long day out, soaking in the heated saltwater pool was the perfect way to wind down. As for food, we didn’t even need to leave the hotel. TimeOut Sports & Pizza Bar had a chill atmosphere with good craft beer, and The Willows upstairs gave us a more elevated dining experience with its tasting menu.

For our stay, we booked the King Suite and, no exaggeration, it felt like our apartment. The bed was incredibly cozy, and we slept better than we had in weeks. Having a spacious living room with a massive TV and minibar made it easy to just relax. Moreover, the separate work desk was great, especially when we had to catch up on a couple of things. The suite’s layout made everything feel easy and comfortable, right down to the spotless dual-entry bathroom. For anyone heading to Lake Compounce, we highly recommend this place.

Perfect Location for Lake Compounce Adventures
We couldn’t have asked for a better base. As one of the best hotels in Bristol, CT, near Lake Compounce, Home2 Suites by Hilton Bristol was less than a 5-minute drive away from the theme park, which made our visit super convenient. But what really surprised us was how many other cool spots were nearby, like the Bristol Event Center (practically next door), the ESPN campus, and even a quirky little Carousel Museum. For a dose of nature, we took quick detours to Indian Rock Nature Preserve and Cedar Lake, both of which made our trip feel more peaceful.
More Than Just a Place to Sleep
This wasn’t one of those stay-one-night-and-go hotels. Home2 Suites actually made us want to hang around. Breakfast was unexpectedly good, and we were obsessed with the DIY yogurt bar. We also appreciated the endless drink options from coffee to hot chocolate.
After fueling up, we’d either take a dip in the saltwater pool or hang out by the cozy outdoor fireplace. There’s also a hot tub, a fitness center, and even a small game room. So, whether you’re into relaxing or keeping active, they’ve got you covered.

“You won’t regret ending your day outdoors by the fireplace. It’ll definitely make your day.”
WOW Travel
Spacious and Comfortable Suite
We booked the King Studio Suite, and we immediately understood why this hotel was so loved. There was a clever “working wall” that helped us stay organized, and we especially loved having a full kitchen. Having a real fridge, microwave, and even a dishwasher was a big win, especially for long stays.
The living area had a comfy sofa bed and a huge swivel TV, which we may or may not have watched way too much. Moreover, the Wi-Fi never gave us any issues, and the bed was so comfy! The suite truly made traveling feel easy, and that’s something we really appreciate.
