We begin with the My Place Hotel-Mount Pleasant, which was just 15 minutes north of the village of Bristol. Blending both comfort and convenience, the hotel was the perfect place for us to stay during our extended vacation in the Lake Michigan region.
This hotel offered a host of comfortable accommodations, which include both rooms and suites. Not only are they all spacious and air-conditioned, but they are also comfortable and equipped with a slew of modern amenities. Besides private bathrooms, they all also had complete kitchen facilities, with stovetops, toasters, fridges, microwaves, tea/coffee makers, and cutlery. Moreover, they all had flat-screen TVs, heating, and wardrobes, ensuring that they had a comfy stay.
What we loved was that this hotel also came with many facilities and amenities. Thanks to the free Wi-Fi, we were connected all the time. There was also a 24-hour front desk, a business space, a lounge, and a minimarket from where we could shop for groceries. Additionally, there were also picnic areas, barbecue facilities, and outdoor seating, ensuring that we spent time outside as well.

Located right off I-94, the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Kenosha – Pleasant Prairie is one of the best chain hotels in the region. It’s a short drive from the shores of Lake Michigan and Kenosha, and is right outside the village of Bristol.
One of the best features of this hotel is the large hot breakfast buffet that’s laid out every morning. This is exceptional considering that the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant on the property. What’s more, the lobby has tea, coffee, and flavored water available 24/7, which was a very good perk. One of the absolute highlights, though, was the light-filled indoor pool area, which also had chairs and a jacuzzi by the side to relax after a swim. Wrapping up the amenities are the laundry facilities and a fitness center. The rooms and suites were no less impressive, especially since they were all spacious and had cable TVs and sleek ensuite bathrooms. Besides that, they all had small fridges, microwaves, and free Wi-Fi. What more could we ask for?

We were looking for affordable yet spacious accommodations near Bristol when we chanced upon Candlewood Suites Kenosha – Pleasant Prairie by IHG. It sits on the I-94’s 344 exit, which means that it is close to not only Bristol, but also Kenosha, the shores of Lake Michigan, and even the Renaissance Faire and Six Flags.
We loved the spacious and comfortable digs here, which were not only air-conditioned but also had free Wi-Fi and came with immaculate private bathrooms. Despite being a budget hotel, the rooms were very comfortable and had soft beds, flat-screen TVs, and work desks. In fact, the larger suites, like our Studio King Suite, even had a kitchenette with a sink, fridge, microwave, and an oven for us to store and heat food right in the comfort of our room. When it came to the amenities, the hotel did very well on that count, too. Not only did it have a fitness center, but it also had barbecue facilities, free on-site parking, outdoor seating, laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk.

The Best Western Executive Inn Kenosha/Pleasant Prairie also does very well when it comes to location. It sits right on the I-94, off exit 344, and is just 15 minutes away from both Kenosha and the shores of Lake Michigan. Moreover, it’s not far from Six Flags Great America either, especially if you’re traveling with children.
Just like other Best Western outposts, this one doesn’t disappoint when it comes to both the digs and the amenities. For one, it has a large indoor pool area, one of the largest in the region. What’s more, it has not only an indoor pool but also a hot tub on the side, making it a fantastic place to unwind. Our days began with a large selection of hot breakfast items, including American and Continental delights and choices. There was also a fitness center for those who wanted to work out on vacation, as well as vending machines for drinks and snacks, a games room, and even a comfy lounge. Coming to the digs, we were impressed by the spacious rooms and suites, all of which had flat-screen TVs, plush beds, and modern bathrooms. Additionally, they also had fridges and microwaves, allowing us to store, heat, and enjoy leftovers whenever we wanted.

This Holiday Inn Express outpost boasts a gamut of comfy accommodations. These rooms and suites are spacious and air-conditioned, and rife with modern amenities. These include the likes of modern private bathrooms, seating areas, plush beds, work desks, and free Wi-Fi everywhere, helping one stay connected. What’s more, the hotel also does great with amenities. Not only does it include a business center, but it also includes an outdoor seating area and a lovely swimming pool. We especially appreciated the complimentary breakfast provided by the property, given that it didn’t have an on-site restaurant. Finally, free on-site parking, housekeeping, and a 24-hour front desk wrap up the amenities here.

Best for Hilton members. The DoubleTree by Hilton Pleasant Prairie Kenosha sits at the southeastern edge of the village and is perfect for those travelers who are Hilton members. This modern hotel boasted a wide range of comfy accommodations of varying sizes that catered to an equally wide variety of travelers. True to Hilton’s style, the rooms and suites were all spacious and air-conditioned and featured flat-screen TVs, sofa beds, work desks, free Wi-Fi, and fridges. So, we could even store leftovers in our room and heat them up and enjoy them later.
There were a ton of amenities at this Hilton property. Firstly, the on-site family-friendly Shelby Campbell’s restaurant served delicious American fare for all meals. What’s more, it even had gluten-free and vegetarian options for those who wanted them. Rounding up the amenities were the bar, the fitness center, and the large indoor swimming pool area, which was where we’d relax after a long day of sightseeing or travel.

Best location. One of the best Marriott outposts out here is the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Kenosha Pleasant Prairie. It sits in the southeastern corner of Bristol Village and was the ideal blend of convenience and comfort. What’s more, it was located just 20 minutes from downtown Kenosha and the shores of Lake Michigan. So, we had easy access to the premium outlets at Pleasant Prairie, Six Flags Great America, as well as the Bristol Renaissance Faire.
There were a lot of other things we loved about this hotel, besides its excellent location. Firstly, it had free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, allowing us to stay connected always and plan our itineraries for the next day. Secondly, the fitness center and the lovely indoor swimming pool area made for the ideal place right on the property to work out and unwind, no matter the season. Last but not least, we’d enjoy amazing breakfast spreads here, and that too complimentary. Think a plethora of hot choices such as oatmeal, sausages, and scrambled eggs, along with continental cold favorites including yogurt and fresh fruit.
The rooms and suites ensured a comfy and easy stay, with cloud-like beds, huge windows with natural lights, mod-cons, and immaculate bathrooms.

Just across the Illinois border, a mere 10-minute drive from the village of Bristol, sits the Antioch Hotel & Suites. We loved this warm and welcoming hotel, which had a bunch of options for rooms and suites, all of which were decked out beautifully in a modern manner. For one, they had a gamut of mod-cons and creature comforts in the form of flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, work desks, seating areas, coffeemakers, microwaves, and sleek bathrooms with complimentary bath products.
Aside from the contemporary digs, the Antioch hotel has a ton of amenities that left us completely impressed. Our favorite was the massive indoor pool area with a lovely swimming pool and a hot tub, which was the perfect place to relax after a long day of sightseeing. In the evenings, we’d kick back with cocktails, wine, and beer at the on-site Fox’s Lounge. Our days would begin with wonderful, hot breakfasts daily that featured delights such as pastries, cereals, Belgian waffles, coffee, tea, and the like. Did we mention the fitness and business centers on the property? Yes!

Best all-suite hotel. We were looking for suite hotels for our extended stay in the Kenosha region, and the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Kenosha perfectly suited our vacation. The all-suite hotel had a wide variety of accommodation choices in the form of comfortable and spacious suites. Not only were they ideal for couples, but there were also larger suites with two double and queen beds, allowing larger families and groups to also stay together. What’s more, they all were air-conditioned and came with private bathrooms, free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and separate living rooms or seating areas with comfy sofas. What more could we ask for?
Despite being an all-suite hotel, this Marriott outpost did have a bunch of amenities as well. Besides having free Wi-Fi everywhere, the property even served delicious hot breakfasts every day in the morning. This was in spite of the fact that it didn’t have a restaurant on the property, which made it all the more impressive. Rounding things up was the lovely staff, who were warm and attentive.

Since it was a Hampton Inn, we were assured of the digs, and we weren’t surprised. The rooms and suites were not just comfortable but also air-conditioned. What’s more, they came with a slew of comforts, including plush beds, TVs, fridges, microwaves, coffee/tea makers, free Wi-Fi, sleek bathrooms, and even sofa beds in the larger rooms.

This being a Hampton Inn, the amenities were top-notch. We especially loved the indoor swimming pool, which allowed us to swim and relax no matter the weather. Besides the pool, there was also a fitness center, laundry services, a business area, and a 24-hour front desk. Are you driving your own vehicle or have you rented one? There’s even free on-site private parking. However, what impressed us the most was that despite not having a restaurant, the hotel had a massive American buffet spread for breakfast, including kid-friendly buffets!

Best overall. Sitting at the top of the list is The Stella Hotel & Ballroom, which sits in the heart of downtown Kenosha. So, it’s minutes from both Bristol as well as the shores of Lake Michigan. Plus, it’s the only full-service hotel in Kenosha near the lakeside. We had the choice of many air-conditioned rooms and suites, all of which came with luxe bathrooms with bath products, coffee/tea makers, TVs, and free Wi-Fi.
There were a large number of amenities at the hotel, which we were delighted to indulge in. For instance, the hotel had not one but two restaurants that served American cuisine and all meals. It also had a bar, where we’d enjoy drinks in the evening. A sun terrace allowed us to soak up the Wisconsin sun, with amenities like the fitness center, the games room, the outdoor fireplace, and the lounge rounding up the place.
