Nothing makes us all more excited than a beach holiday, does it? In the last few years, the beach hotel scene has changed drastically, with stays available across not just geographical locations, but also budgets, vibes, and amenities. We were looking to zero in on our next beach destination based on an excellent beachside stay, so we thought, why not look at Trivago? The best Trivago beach hotel options, all of which boast great deals, lie in the most magical locations. Think Punta Cana, Hawaii, Bahamas, and even cities such as San Diego. Besides a bunch of hot deals that caught our eye, we were also impressed by the details provided by the travel website, along with tons of options for digs.
Additionally, the highlighted section allowed us to see the hotel or resort’s specialty, while the price trend bit allowed us to choose a good balance between spending and the best time to travel to the destination. What more could we ask for, right? Here’s a guide to the top beach stays to book currently on Trivago.
Ayodya Resort Bali, Nusa Dua, Indonesia
6
Smack dab in the center of the lovely Nusa Dua Beach in Bali sits Ayodya Resort Bali, fronting the blue waters of the Bali Sea. The main pool, a long, winding family pool area, might have lush foliage, but the infinity pool right in front of the ocean will take your breath away. Of the main restaurants and cafes, two offered spectacular views of the beach. If that wasn’t enough, there was so much to do at the beach besides lounging on daybeds, like beach volleyball, watersports, and more.
Trust Bali’s hotels to do stay right, as every room here comes with a private balcony. Ours was a sea-facing room, which meant that we were treated to eye-popping sunrise views right from the comfort of our bed. A spa, a fitness center, a children’s playground, a plethora of family-friendly indoor and outdoor activities, and an excellent staff made our stay here absolutely worthwhile.

Cinnamon Velifushi, Maldives
5
What if, instead of looking for a hotel on the beach, the beach actually came to you? Welcome to Cinnamon Velifushi Maldives, a five-star dreamy abode on Maldives’ Aarah Vaavu atoll. The best bit? It occupies the entire island, making it the only place on the atoll! The luxurious, all-inclusive resort is a 1.5-hour speedboat from the capital, Malé, and is surrounded by long stretches of white, sandy beaches, a stunning house reef, and a gorgeous swimmable lagoon. So, no matter where we stepped out, we were met by the pristine waters of the Felidhoo Atoll. A sea-fronting pool, a long pier from where we could take boat transfers and tours aside, and tons of water activities such as snorkeling promise to make your stay extremely enjoyable and memorable.
“Rather than us going to the beach, the beach came to us at Cinnamon Velifushi! It was one of the most magical staying experiences of our lives.”
WOW Travel
That’s not all, though. Beach lofts, bungalows, and water bungalows make for excellent choices of digs, all of them either steps from the water or right over the water. Three restaurants, the luxurious and acclaimed Mandara Spa, a fitness center, and even a Kids Club make up the excellent amenities here. Did we mention there’s evening entertainment too? Yes!

Sandyport Beach Resort, Nassau, Bahamas
4
In the heart of the northern region of Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas, the Sandyport Beach Resort sits in one of the most unique positions ever. Firstly, the resort itself is less than a five-minute walk from the stunning Sandyport beach overlooking the North Atlantic Ocean. Meanwhile, its back has a sublime sandy beach leading down to another gorgeous landlocked body of water around the pretty Sandyport Marina Village. In fact, some of the rooms sit right on the beach facing this gorgeous body of water, which also happens to be a private beach area. What could be better?
Back at the resort, it isn’t wanting for amenities either. Besides a tennis court, a spa center, and seven restaurants, the hotel also boasts not one but three lagoon-style pools. However, its top draw is its digs housed in the form of pastel-colored villas flanked by palm trees. On the inside, they feature Caribbean-style décor with mod-cons that even include kitchen facilities. So, if you’re looking for an extended stay place in Nassau, then this resort and its location are perfect.

Hilton San Diego Bayfront, California, USA
3
If beachfront without a beach is what you’re after, check out the buzzy Hilton San Diego Bayfront. It offered amazing and unobstructed views of San Diego Bay despite sitting right next to the San Diego Convention Center. Sprinkles of lush greenery from the Embarcadero Marina Park and the San Diego Bayfront Park clash brilliantly with the blue of the bay, making us forget that we were in one of the major cities on the western coast of the United States. A little bit coastal and a little bit urban make it what is unanimously hailed as its fans as the best Hilton they’ve been to.
The best bit is that we could enjoy the bayside location from more than one place in the hotel. Not only does the outdoor pool and the loungers face the bay, but also the Pool Club, a wonderful open-air bar/lounge. Plus, there are two hot tubs as well as the Kids’ Splash Zone, where the kids can play and the adults can soak in the views while enjoying drinks. Of course, there are also the bayfront rooms and suites, which offer sweeping views of the bay and beyond right from the comfort of your beds. An onsite restaurant, a fitness center, and a full-service spa complete the amenities here. Given that San Diego happens to be one of the best destinations for a family vacation, we’d say you already know where you’re going with the kiddos next!

‘Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach, O’ahu, Hawaii
2
On the Hawaiian island of O’ahu, on the gorgeously golden sands of Kuhio/Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, sits the ‘Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach. The calm water beach along the wonderful Waikiki shore makes for the perfect setting for this Hilton Hawaiian haven. So, when we weren’t racing across the street to swim in the waters of the natural swimming pool that was the North Pacific Ocean, we’d be back at the resort’s stunning fifth-floor infinity pool. With fantastic views of the ocean, it also had sand-free daybeds and poolside F&B service from the Swell Pool Bar & Restaurant.
Six restaurants, including a cafe and even a Häagen-Dazs outlet, a quiet and attentive staff, and a fantastic spot on Kalakuau Avenue, just a little down the road from Diamond Head, ensured that we were in the thick of things while not being too overwhelmed either. Above all, the minimalistic and modern rooms were mesmerizing, especially the beach-facing ones that felt like our very own private cabanas in the clouds. No wonder it’s one of the best luxury hotels in Waikiki as well as one of the best 4-star hotels in Honolulu!

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
1
On the easternmost edge of the Dominican Republic, in the mesmerizing region of Punta Cana’s Playa Bavaro, sits the Sunscape Coco Punta Cana. It’s sandwiched between the protected natural area of Laguna Bavaro and the Coconut Coast, as the eastern beaches of the country overlooking the North Atlantic Ocean are famously called. And it might just be the very best sandwich in the world.
That’s because the beach and the property, specifically the pool and the beach lounger areas beneath the coconut trees, practically melded together. With choices of six sparkling swimming pools, including two adult-only ones, and one of which even faced the ocean, we’d spend our time flitting between the pools and the beach loungers, and that too with poolside and beachside F&B service. With a bevy of watersports and beach games available out front, we couldn’t have asked for a better beach holiday.
The rest of the family-friendly resort is equally amazing, especially with the decadent spa, a casino, and as many as 13 restaurants and bars! That, along with 17 room categories, some with superb ocean views, Sunscape is your family-friendly escape on the Coconut Coast.
