Getting to Small Hope Bay Lodge was surprisingly simple for such a tucked-away spot. We flew from Miami to San Andros in about an hour on one of the small regional airlines, which felt quick and easy. You can also route through Nassau if you’re already in the Bahamas. By the time we arrived, we understood why people call the lodge “secluded.”
The biggest selling point, at least to us, was the number of activities available. Andros has an incredible stretch of coral reefs, so we ended up spending a lot of time in the water. The lodge’s dive center gives free snorkel and scuba lessons, which took the pressure off since we didn’t have to book anything in advance or worry about extra fees. When we wanted a break from diving, we joined a guided nature walk, tried our luck on a fishing outing, and took advantage of the complimentary bikes and kayaks.

The Curaçao Marriott Beach Resort is only 15 minutes from the airport in Willemstad, so getting there was super easy. Goby Divers Curaçao is based at the resort, too, so we joined one of their dive boats to check out the deeper spots without any hassle.

Many say that Negril is the best place in Jamaica for snorkeling, and after staying at Beaches Negril Resort and Spa, we kind of agree. Located on 7-Mile Beach, getting out on the water was super easy, and since snorkeling is included, we went whenever we felt like it.
Outside of snorkeling, there was a surprising amount to do. We tried kayaking, windsurfing, and even hydrobikes, and the kids thought the on-property water park was the highlight of the whole vacation. There were plenty of land activities as well, like volleyball, soccer, and basketball.
Food-wise, we had a lot of options. We tried everything, including those that served Peruvian and Mexican dishes. If you don’t mind splurging, book a private dinner on the beach! We were impressed right away by Zemi Beach House. Let’s start with the location. Being right on Shoal Bay, we could grab our snorkel gear and walk straight into calm, clear water whenever we wanted. The hotel was also kind enough to provide us with kayaks and paddleboards for free.

The long stretch of white sand made for great morning walks, and we ended up booking a private boat charter to see more of Anguilla. Best for Families. We were really impressed with how easy Secret Harbour Beach Resort made traveling with our kids. The calm cove right in front of the hotel was a huge relief.
