When we weren’t off exploring, we drifted into full relaxation mode. The on-site Elighes Spa was one of our favorite amenities. We abused the sauna, the herb-steamed Turkish bath, and the bubbling hydrotherapy pools. Meals were another highlight. The fresh seafood, local wine, and pasta were amazing.

Rooms here are nothing short of charming. Ours came with a little patio, the perfect spot to watch the sun set with a bottle of Vermentino. Everything was calm, simple, and beautifully done. If you don’t mind spending more, choose the Tower Suite, which boasts a rooftop terrace and views stretching from the pines to the sea.

Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia

What we love the most about Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia is that it not only offers a luxury stay. The hotel sits high above the bay of Chia, with the kind of view that stops you, no matter what you’re doing. Expect a turquoise lagoon dotted with flamingos, the Mediterranean stretching to the horizon, and mesmerizing hills.

One of our favorite spots on the property is the rooftop, which comes with a whirlpool overlooking the hills. Additionally, there are also jet pools tucked into lush gardens. We alternated between blissful massages and delicious lunches, and sometimes we also used the gym and tennis court.

And then there was the beach. The soft curve of Monte Cogoni was just a 15-minute walk downhill, though we usually jumped on one of the hotel’s electric buggies because, well, vacation rules. Down on the sand, we ordered Aperol spritzes straight to our loungers and let the sea breeze do its thing.

Su Gologone Experience Hotel

Best Activities. Spending a night at Su Gologone Experience Hotel is costly, but if you don’t mind, you’ll have one of the best experiences in Sardinia. Here, everything moves at its own serene rhythm. We kid you not, our days at this hotel were extremely relaxing and they felt extra long.

But don’t mistake “peaceful” for “boring.” Su Gologone thrives on creativity and connection. We were either kneading dough in a Sardinian cooking class or painting tiles beside local artisans. Everywhere you look, there’s art. We also enjoyed lounging by the spring-fed pool and treating ourselves to a blissful massage at the wellness center.

That’s not all! When we needed some alone time, we would head back to our Country Suite and sip a glass of wine by the fireplace before moving outside to our private terrace. Hotel Capo d’Orso Thalasso & SPA is one of the most conveniently located hotels in Italy Sardinia. It sits perfectly between two coves, Cala Capra and Cala Selvaggia. From the decks, we could see the Maddalena and Caprera islands floating on the horizon, and that famous bear-shaped rock watching over it all.

We started our days on Cala Capra’s soft sand, toes buried while sipping espresso, and then wandered over to Cala Selvaggia for a quieter, rockier charm. When we felt like moving, we tried yoga under the trees or a dip in the saltwater pool. We also had the chance to grab paddles and glide over the water.

Our suite was tucked among flowering shrubs and winding paths. Inside, it was all warm tones, terracotta lamps, and handcrafted decor. Even the small touches like the plush robes, eco slippers, minibar with chilled water made it feel thoughtful and intimate.

Albero Capovolto

We truly can’t recommend Albero Capovolto enough! Staying here, you can expect a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. It was the kind of quiet that didn’t bore us at all. If anything, we could easily explore the hills nearby and feel the white sands of La Marinella, which is just a couple of minutes’ drive away.

Throughout our stay, we used the gorgeous swimming pool countless times. Sometimes we had lazy laps, and sometimes we were just floating. The shaded pagoda at one end quickly became our favorite spot for an afternoon spritz. If you’re lucky enough to visit during high season, check out the sunset yoga on the lawn!

The rooms are all bright and breezy, dressed in a simple, elegant style that mirrors the landscape outside. We stayed in the spacious suite, the only one with both a walk-in shower and a bathtub. The suite opens straight onto the gardens, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Due Lune Puntaldia Resort & Golf

Honestly, staying at Due Lune Puntaldia Resort & Golf was a last-minute decision, but it turned out to be an amazing experience. The view from the hotel alone was enough to make us stop and stare. Not to mention, there’s plenty to do. Whether you’re teeing off on the 9-hole golf course or simply soaking up the calm energy, you’ll never get bored.

We booked the Double Room, and it was both comfortable and luxurious. It had a balcony overlooking the gardens, our go-to spot when we wanted to relax. We also had everything else we needed, from cool air conditioning to a stocked mini-bar.

As we said earlier, this resort is packed with amenities. We loved dipping in the pool or chilling at the poolside bar. If you want to burn some calories, head to the wellness center. You can even have a tanning session on the beach. And when it came to dining, we could always count on the on-site restaurant to fill our tummies. We loved the fresh seafood and local wines.

Falkensteiner Resort Capo Boi

Best Luxury. Falkensteiner Resort Capo Boi is easily one of the fanciest hotels in Sardinia. When we first arrived, we were immediately reminded of stunned by its 1960s aesthetics, only softer and sleeker. Not to mention, the resort has a lovely private beach, complete with paddleboards, and perfect for swimming.

We also loved our meals here. Nothing compared to our lazy mornings at Artigiani, where we had endless Mediterranean spreads and cappuccinos. And when we weren’t there, we were probably by the pool, devouring pizza fresh from the oven. What about dinners? KENTO was something special! Chef Theodor Falser somehow marries Asian precision with Italian comfort, and it just works.

Even on lazy days, there was plenty to do. The Acquapura Cocoon Spa was our little sanctuary, all steam, salt, and serenity. Meanwhile, families seemed blissfully happy in Falky Land, but the vibe stayed calm and grown-up. All in all, we’d rate this place a 10/10.

Il Borgo dell’Arcangelo

Hidden in the tiny village of Tuili, we’re so happy we got to experience Il Borgo dell’Arcangelo. The village’s calm was dreamlike. We could hear nothing but the sound of church bells and the chatter from the local bar nearby. The guesthouse sits right in the heart of Tuili, close to St. Peter’s Church with its Renaissance altarpiece, and yet it feels wonderfully private.

After spending two nights here, we understood why guests can’t stop talking about Luigi Lugas, the host. He loved to share stories about his ancestors and offer us a glass of his homemade wine. That’s not all, as he also took us to explore his vineyards and olive groves, then pointed out where we might spot the famous wild horses of the

Moving on, our room (one of the six) was simple and beautiful. We loved the antique furniture, cool white walls, and wrought-iron bed frame. Though there was no TV, we didn’t miss it at all. Plus, the thick stone walls kept it naturally cool, even in the afternoon heat. Our nights here were so peaceful. Though not a luxury hotel, our stay was extremely authentic and memorable.

We knew Petra Segreta Resort & Spa would be peaceful, but we didn’t expect it to feel this magical. The drive up from Olbia took barely half an hour, yet by the time we reached the hills near San Pantaleo, the noise of everyday life had vanished. From our terrace, we could see the sea glimmering in the distance, and when we wanted a little buzz, all we had to do was head down to the village for coffee or art browsing.

The Clubhouse became our go-to spot for everything: breakfasts, sunset drinks, and cozy nights by the crackling fireplace. The place has this blend of Sardinian charm and safari lodge soul. We also spent an embarrassing amount of time by the pool, half reading, half dozing under the sun. On top of that, the staff here always greeted us by name from day one, ready with a smile or a local tip.

Our room, one of the resort’s stone “huts,” felt like a private retreat. It was simple but full of warmth. Think wood beams, soft linens, earthy colors, and the scent of wild herbs. Each morning, we would sip espresso under our pergola.

Best Value for Money. Want to have a chill and slow vacation? We highly recommend Hotel Costa dei Fiori. And if you think you have to spend a lot to stay at this fantastic hotel, you’re wrong! We spent our first day doing nothing more than walking through the gardens, sitting by the pool, and letting the quiet sink in.

The hotel has a traditional Sardinian charm that feels warm and genuine. It’s clearly designed for couples and travelers who want calm rather than crowds. Even the fact that kids need to be at least four keeps the atmosphere blissfully calm. This means you can take advantage of the tennis court and two swimming pools without any stress.

When we did venture out, we discovered some of the best beaches we’ve ever seen. Chia and Tuerredda were both incredible, with clear, shallow water and soft sand that rivals the Caribbean. The hotel also helped us organize a bike rental and a short boat trip, but honestly, it was hard to leave the hotel.

Best Beach Resort. Looking for something really special? Take a look at 7Pines Resort Sardinia, a gorgeous beach resort in Sardinia. Tucked into the natural curves of Baja Sardinia with sweeping views of the La Maddalena archipelago, we were impressed by its location. This waterfront resort is just a quick 10-minute drive to Porto Cervo, but we rarely wanted to leave.

During our stay, we spent many hours at the resort’s Mediterranean gardens. On top of that, we stumbled upon a tiny crescent-shaped beach, hidden behind the dunes. No loungers, no bar. It was just us, soft sand, and the clearest turquoise water imaginable. Of course, we had to lay out towels and unpack a picnic.

When we craved a bit more buzz, we made our way to The Cone Club, where barefoot luxury takes on new meaning. Think chilled rosé, plates of crudo and fregula, and cocktails. And after the sun set, there were live music performances! What’s not to like about this resort?
