We were thrilled with our room, as every suite is thoughtfully and beautifully designed. For breakfast, skip the hotel buffet! They provide vouchers for a traditional, basic Italian breakfast at the local bakery right next door. We loved this authentic setup. Grabbing a fresh cornetto and espresso felt much more genuine!

Located in the Centro Nuovo, it’s directly attached to the Salerno train station, which was a huge time-saver for us. We could easily grab routes to places like Vietri sul Mare, Naples, Rome, or Paestum. Plus, the ferry port for the main Amalfi Coast towns is just a quick stroll away.

The rooms here are fantastic. Comfort was key here. We loved the large bathroom with a walk-in shower and the ample selection of toiletries. The bed had a superb mattress, but our favorite feature was definitely the blinds, which you operate with a switch right by the bed. No need to get up to let the Italian sunshine in! Our room also featured a well-stocked minibar.

At this hotel, the daily buffet breakfast is included, making it a fantastic value. It’s a cold spread, but it offers plenty to get you going. We enjoyed the fresh fruit, yogurt, and a selection of cheese, ham, and salami. Crucially, they pay great attention to dietary needs, offering a separate, dedicated selection of gluten-free bread, crackers, cereal, and cakes.

Located in the peaceful Arbostella district, it offers a comfortable, modern, home-like atmosphere, ideal for longer stays. The location provides a great balance. It’s tranquil but still perfectly positioned for us to easily explore the vibrant center of Salerno and the stunning Amalfi Coast.

The spacious rooms here are well-equipped and perfect for families. We had everything needed for our trip: free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchenette, and a private bathroom. Some suites even feature a private garden, and the main shared garden space is also lovely and well-maintained.

The staff were fantastic as well. They provided us with great local recommendations that helped us make the most of our trip. For a comfortable, independent, and well-run base in the area, we highly recommend checking out Il Papavero Residence.

We loved the Hotel Montestella primarily because of its fantastic location. It sits right in a beautiful, pedestrian-only area, which keeps the atmosphere quiet and charming. We were just a short walk from the sea and found the convenience for travel unmatched. The hotel is only minutes away from the main train station, making our arrival and departure completely hassle-free.

We booked the Quadruple Room, which was very modern and provided all the comfort we needed. The design was sleek, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We especially appreciated having a kettle and a coffee machine right in the room. Big bonus: the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, easily handling all our streaming and browsing needs.

Every morning, the hotel serves a generous sweet and savory buffet breakfast with plenty of options to get us started. Beyond the hotel, we loved that we were surrounded by plenty of fantastic local restaurants right outside the door. Salerno was a great trip for us, and Vinto House Salerno Downtown was one of our favorite bases. We stayed three nights here and we’ll definitely return next time we’re in the area. The location is unbeatable, as it’s right on the main street, and the beautiful seafront is just a minute away on foot. We loved feeling central to all the city’s activity!

Getting settled in was a breeze, too. We loved how quick and easy the automated check-in system was. Upon entering, we immediately felt at home. The main common area is cozy and finely decorated with paintings and seating. They’ve thought of every little amenity, providing free chargers, water, and a table set up for the breakfast food.

We booked the Italy Room and it was spacious, spotless, and charmingly decorated with art celebrating the Italian peninsula. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. It was honestly one of the coziest rooms we’ve ever stayed in.

Best Luxury. If you’re looking for something grander and more sophisticated, you’ll most likely love Casa Santangelo Suites. This all-suite boutique hotel is set inside a beautifully restored 19th-century palazzo that once belonged to a Neapolitan marquis. The building’s history is preserved through stunning architectural details, including original frescoes on the walls and ceilings, hand-painted wallpaper, and classic terracotta floors.

Our experience was elevated by the exceptional comfort and service. Every room features its own private balcony. Our bathroom was spacious, and the largest unit has two bedrooms and two showers. We can confidently say the beds here are the most comfortable we have ever slept in. The staff were absolutely amazing and kind, too, helping us with our bags and ensuring we had all the information we needed for our room.

The location is excellent as well, right in the bustling Centro Storico. This placement meant we were surrounded by fantastic restaurants and shops. Exploring the city was easy, as we were close to the seafront promenade and just a stone’s throw away from the beach.
