First off, the location couldn’t be better. It’s just a few minutes on foot to the Petco Park, and Seaport Village is close enough if you want to stroll over for some food or shopping.

Now, let’s talk about the extras. We had dinner at one of their sleek on-site spots. We loved the great atmosphere, by the way. Plus, the rooftop pool was a highlight! Best 5-Star. If your motto is “never settle for less”, you’ve got to check out Pendry San Diego. We stayed here mostly for the location (hello, Gaslamp Quarter!) and it didn’t disappoint. We were just a short walk from Petco Park, making this property a popular choice for game days and events. Plus, the vibe? Friendly from the second we walked in. The staff nailed that balance between professional and genuinely kind.

One random but very fun thing, the hotel has a Moët & Chandon vending machine in the lobby. Obviously, we had to try it! How often do you get champagne from a vending machine? On top of that, we also enjoyed the rooftop pool with skyline views, cabanas, and whirlpool dips. We also have to mention the Spa Pendry that left us floating.

For accommodation, we stayed in the King Room with a city view. The view was great, but the bed was next-level. We’re not exaggerating when we say we got some of the best sleep ever. We also stayed at the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter, and the location was everything we wanted. It’s smack dab in the middle of the Gaslamp Quarter, which meant we were surrounded by tons of restaurants, bars, and could walk pretty much everywhere, including Petco Park. Downtown had such a good energy, especially at night when everything lit up and came alive.

One of the highlights for us was grabbing breakfast downstairs at Wild Hare Bar Garden. It’s not free, but the food was worth it. The fresh, Cali-inspired food was a great way to start the day. We also made time to hang out by the heated outdoor pool and hit up the fitness center, as we had to balance out all that good food.

For our stay, we booked the Deluxe King Room. Clean, modern vibes with a sleek layout, and the bed? So comfortable! We sank right in and didn’t want to get up. Having a huge 60-inch TV was also perfect for lazy nights with Netflix, and the whole space felt super fresh and well-kept.
