Most Modern. The Melanj Airport Hotel is a gem of a find. The location alone is super convenient, as it’s just about 15 minutes from the airport, with free shuttles that whisk you to and from both the airport and even nearby shopping centers or the bus station. We didn’t have to stress about transportation at all, and for those driving, there’s some parking space available for free, too.
We booked the Single Room, which came with its own little balcony that overlooked the garden! Needless to say, it became our favorite spot. The room itself was compact but thoughtfully designed, mixing comfort with a modern vibe. We had everything we needed: a flat-screen TV with streaming services for some downtime, air conditioning to beat the heat, and a private bathroom with free toiletries.
Outside the room, this 3-star hotel in Istanbul had plenty of cozy nooks to unwind in. We loved sitting in the garden and outdoor lounge area, just enjoying the quiet and fresh air. This hotel is only 10 minutes away from the airport, making it a great choice for travelers like us who want comfort without a long drive. We did have to call ahead to arrange the free airport shuttle since it only runs during certain hours, but once that was sorted, everything went smoothly. The ride was quick, and we were checked in before we knew it.
The property itself felt calm and welcoming, with a clean, smoke-free environment. There’s a nice garden area and even a pool and tennis courts if you’re feeling active. Oh, there’s a Turkish bath, too! The staff at the 24-hour front desk were also friendly and efficient, exactly what we needed as we were running on travel fatigue.
