During our stay, the neighborhood buzzed with activity. However, in the evening, it all became so peaceful and quiet. We were never woken up in the middle of the night by noises.

We chose the Family Room, and it was clearly well taken care of. Everything from the beds to the lighting felt new, and the bathroom was spotless. Housekeeping came by every day and kept things fresh without us even having to ask. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and our two kids had plenty of space to spread out and play.

Moreover, breakfast was simple but satisfying. Considering how affordable the hotel was, we felt like we got amazing value for money. Plus, being so close to Beyazit food street meant we were never short on dining options. From cozy cafes to family-friendly restaurants, everything was within walking distance.

Apart from that, our Deluxe Family Room offered tons of space for the four of us. It was bright and airy, with comfy beds that put us to sleep in seconds. We also loved having Netflix for a cozy movie night and a small tea setup that made our mornings extra relaxing.

The hotel itself has clearly been newly renovated, and you can tell by the clean, modern design and fresh feel throughout. The free breakfast each morning was a nice addition as well. Lastly, for the location, everything we needed was just a short walk away. We had local eateries, small convenience stores, and even a cute little ice cream stand within easy reach.

Best Chain Hotel. There’s something different about staying at a chain hotel. You can expect guaranteed comfort and a consistently positive experience. That was what we got from Hampton by Hilton Istanbul Merter. Just a short walk from both the metro and bus stops, we had a really convenient stay. It took us around 20 minutes to reach Sultanahmet by metro, so we could explore all the historic spots without worrying about long commutes.

As expected from a Hilton hotel, every corner of this hotel was sparkling clean. In fact, it was probably the cleanest hotel we’ve stayed in around the Merter area. Our King Room was beautifully designed with warm, modern decor. The highlight, though, was definitely the private terrace, perfect for sipping coffee in the morning or unwinding.

Since there was no on-site parking, we had to park on the street. However, it was totally safe. For anyone who prefers extra peace of mind, there’s an OTTOPARK just across the street. Oh, the hotel also has a neat little fitness center, which came in handy for a quick workout before breakfast.

With restaurants, bars, and souvenir shops just a stroll away, our stay at Hotel Esve Istanbul was nothing short of convenient. Set on a narrow street, this hotel is only a two-minute walk from the tram stop. And when we needed to exchange money, we could easily do that at one of the kiosks nearby. Everything was so easy.

Furthermore, we really appreciated that the hotel had a lift, which made getting to our room on the upper floor effortless. The room itself was surprisingly spacious and had everything we needed. We’re talking about a super comfy bed, a walk-in shower with great water pressure, and even a little setup for making tea and coffee. Housekeeping was spot on, too. The room was cleaned daily, and fresh towels magically appeared every morning.

The breakfast was another highlight. Everything looked and tasted so fresh, from the crisp salads and fluffy breads to the warm egg dishes and pastries. And if you’re a vegetarian, you’ll be thrilled to see plenty of fruits, cereals, cakes, and more than enough savory options to keep you happy.

Tucked away on a quiet street in the lively Fatih district, Ninova Boutique Hotel surpasses all of our expectations. Location-wise, this hotel is extremely central. We were only a short walk from all the action, saving us time and energy. And despite our close proximity to the bustling streets, we always had a good night’s sleep.

Speaking of which, we really enjoyed our room. It came with a little kitchenette, a fridge, and everything we needed to make ourselves comfortable. Meanwhile, the bed was one of those cloud-like ones you never want to get out of. Despite being a three-star hotel, the comfort is certainly five-star.

Angel’s Home Suites is one of those places that will make you wish you could’ve stayed for one or two more nights. Staying at Angel’s Home, everything we wanted to see was just a short walk away. We could be in front of the Blue Mosque, one of the most beautiful mosques in the world, within minutes without breaking a sweat. We also loved the fact that the neighborhood is lively but never chaotic.

One of our favorite parts of the stay was breakfast on the terrace. The spread was impressive. We had fresh fruits, pastries, cheeses, and all the Turkish breakfast staples we could dream of. But that’s not all. We were also accompanied by the views of the Old City and the Bosphorus.

Thanks to our Superior Double Room, we felt right at home. The bed was comfortable, the lighting was warm and cozy, and we loved that we had a free minibar stocked with drinks and snacks. After staying here for two nights, we could confidently say that Angel’s Home Suites lived up to its name.

Best for Families. Traveling with your loved ones and want to give them a splash of luxury without being over the top? Then you should consider staying at Luxury Life Suites. It’s set in a lively neighborhood where the streets are always buzzing with local life. Just across the road, there’s a big, beautifully kept garden that became our kids’ go-to playground. We also loved that this part of the city is super budget-friendly when it comes to food and shopping.

We booked the Two-Bedroom Apartment with a balcony, and it was the perfect option for us. The space was bright, modern, and incredibly comfortable. We had two separate bedrooms, a massive living area, and a spotless bathroom. The apartment had all the little things that make traveling easier as well, like a washing machine, soundproof walls, and even a lovely kitchen. Of course, the highlight was the balcony, where we spent most of our evenings.

Even though it’s a bit far from Istanbul’s main tourist attractions, getting around was still easy. Whether we hopped on a train, grabbed a taxi, or caught a bus, everything was quick and straightforward. Staying at Peyk Hotel Oldcity allowed us to soak up the best of Istanbul without spending a fortune. We couldn’t believe how close we were to all the big names. Places like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi Palace were literally just a stroll away. The tram station was also nearby, which made it super easy to explore other neighborhoods.

Though small, our room had everything we needed and more. The bed was ridiculously comfortable, easily one of the best mattresses we’ve had in a three-star stay. There was air conditioning, a mini-bar, and a flat-screen TV, perfect for winding down. They even provided a slipper kit, which to us was super thoughtful. For the price, we really couldn’t ask for anything better.

The staff at Peyk Hotel was the icing on the cake. The 24-hour front desk was always ready to help, whether it was arranging laundry or pointing us to the best place for baklava nearby. We loved having free Wi-Fi that actually worked well, and knowing that concierge services were just a call away made the whole stay feel relaxed.

If you love to walk or experience the local public transport, you’ll want to stay at Safa Hotel Old City. Both the tram and metro are just a two-minute stroll away, making it ridiculously easy to zip around the city. Within five minutes, we were at the Spice Bazaar inhaling all those incredible aromas, and in the opposite direction, we found the peaceful escape of Gülhane Park.

For our stay, we got the Deluxe Double Room, and it was exactly like the pictures online. We had a fridge to keep our drinks cool, and the double glazing kept the street noise at bay. Even the shower was better than some we’ve had in pricier hotels. Not to mention, fresh towels, water, coffee, and milk were replenished daily.

There’s no restaurant on-site, but that didn’t bother us one bit. The neighborhood is packed with good eats. We quickly found a favorite breakfast spot at Retro Café. The coffee there was affordable but amazing, and you should try the croissants, too. For dinner, we preferred walking uphill a bit to find quieter spots away from the main tourist stretch.

Best Rooftop Terrace. We knew Hotel Ravi was one of the newest 3 star hotels in Istanbul Turkey, but we didn’t expect it to be this good. When we were there, it still had that new-hotel sparkle. The hallways smelled like fresh linens, and every corner was spotless. Every morning, we started our day with a delicious breakfast spread at tables set around ancient ruins. But our favorite spot wasn’t the dining area—it was the rooftop terrace that completely blew us away. It became our go-to place for breakfast, relaxation, and even the occasional 15-minute nap.

We were also impressed by the staff members. The front desk team went above and beyond, suggesting great local restaurants, helping us navigate the city, and even going as far as helping us carry our bags out and helping us get into a taxi themselves. This kind of service truly makes a huge difference.

Now, the location. We walked absolutely everywhere! All the big historic sites were just a few streets away, and the area was buzzing with life. And if you’re too tired to explore at night, just relax in your room. All the rooms on this property are air-conditioned, and the beds are guaranteed to be comfy. Though small, the rooms are nothing short of cozy.

Best Location. Hotel Nena deserves all the praise and recognition. Let’s first talk about its highly convenient location! This place is just steps away from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the Grand Bazaar. We were literally in the heart of Sultanahmet. To make things better, there’s a tram stop just a stone’s throw away from the hotel’s front door. Despite having so much going on nearby, we always felt safe, even when walking back at night.

When we first arrived and stepped into the lobby, we were awed. It was sleek, chic, and, dare we say, luxurious. Moreover, rooms here vary from small to large. We booked the Standard Room, and it came with an efficient minibar and a fantastic air conditioner. Although ours didn’t come with a view, you can spend more for a room that comes with one and a balcony.

We also have to mention the service. Everyone was kind and attentive, especially the front desk staff. Breakfast was another highlight. It was served in a bright room with a wide variety of fruits, pastries, cheeses, and hot dishes. The Turkish coffee made on the spot was what we needed to give us that extra boost in the morning. Hotel Nena may be rated three stars, but it felt more like a solid four to us. Huge kudos to the whole team for making our stay so easy.
