Maris Beach Hotel
11
Let’s start with Maris Beach Hotel! After contemplating for a while, we decided to book the sea view room, and we’re so glad we did. Waking up to that view never got old. The room itself wasn’t massive, but it was spotless and had everything we needed. The balcony was on the smaller side, too, but perfectly fine for sitting out with a drink and soaking it all in.
The hotel also surprised us with its food. The restaurant was so good that we ended up eating there almost every night. On days we slept in or skipped breakfast, we would just wander down later for brunch or lunch instead. The waiters were also amazingly friendly, attentive, and up for a chat.
Beach days were just as effortless. There were always plenty of sunloungers, so we never once had to rush down early or worry about finding a spot. The fact that waiters would come right to our loungers to take drink orders felt like such a treat, and everything could just be added to our room bill and settled with dinner later on.

Golden Rock Beach Hotel

Being right on the beach, the Golden Rock Beach Hotel made everything feel effortless. We could have morning walks by the sea and quick dips in the pool without breaking a sweat. Speaking of which, the pool was huge, especially with the water slides keeping the energy high throughout the day. Add in live music and nightly entertainment, and there was always something happening.
We stayed in the Superior Double Room, and it was everything we needed and more. The whitewashed tones were soothing, and we loved the bold Ottoman-style design behind the bed. The bed was genuinely comfortable, which made lazy mornings and early nights equally tempting after full days in the sun.
We were also spoiled by the food choices. The restaurants at Golden Rock focused on Turkish favorites, and we had to try every single thing. We particularly liked the vegetarian dishes like rich, slow-cooked aubergine with tomato and perfectly grilled kebabs. We also carved out time for the spa and enjoyed the algae therapy.

Emre Beach & Emre Hotel

We rolled up to Emre Beach & Emre Hotel in the early hours of the morning, half-asleep and fully expecting a wait, but were surprised to be checked in straight away. A member of staff grabbed our cases, walked us to the room, and talked us through everything without rushing. Our room was on the first floor, right at the front. We loved how huge it was, with a massive front balcony stretching the full width of the hotel and a second, smaller balcony off to the side overlooking the pools and the sea.
The beach quickly became our favorite part of the day. Beach towels were provided for free, and we never struggled to find a sunbed. The guy working down there deserves a special mention, as he was constantly on the go, keeping everything spotless and helping guests get settled. The whole hotel runs on that same friendly energy. Every single member of staff was warm, helpful, and happy to help.
And then there’s the food. From breakfast right through to dinner, the choice was huge, and everything tasted fresh. We’ve stayed in plenty of the best all-inclusive hotels in Marmaris, and this was easily some of the best food we’ve had. Entertainment rounded off most nights, which was well organized and fun.

Örsmaris Boutique Hotel

If you want something calmer than a big resort but still close enough to the action, stay at Örsmaris Boutique Hotel. Despite its quiet location, the hotel is only a five-minute drive from the lively city center. That balance made our days super easy and our evenings flexible, depending on whether we felt like chilling out or heading into town.
With just 26 rooms, this boutique hotel is never too crowded, and each room has its own charm with classic touches and pops of colour behind the beds. We loved waking up to the sea view, too. The on-site gardens are especially lovely, bursting with greenery and bright flowers that wrap around the longest of the hotel’s three pools.
Food was another highlight for us. We ended up eating at the à la carte restaurant more than once because the local dishes were so good. The juicy kofte kebabs, perfectly cooked sea bass, and handmade chips are our favorites.

The Beachfront Hotel

Best Entertainment. Staying at The Beachfront Hotel put us squarely in the heart of Marmaris’s energetic social scene. Living up to its name, the property offers an unbeatable location. The panoramic views of the bay are to die for, and the private beach is one of the best.
While the hotel skips the typical “mega-resort” fluff like sprawling waterparks or constant animation teams, its charm lies in its sophisticated simplicity. The property serves as a refined launchpad for the endless excursions and nightlife found just a few steps away. When we weren’t out exploring, we were lounging on the private beach, complete with complimentary cushions, or enjoying the nightly rotation of live bands and resident DJs.
For a change of pace, we highly recommend arranging a scooter rental through the front desk. It proved to be the highlight of our trip, giving us the freedom to navigate the Marmaris peninsula at our own speed.

Grand Pasa Hotel

During our stay at Grand Pasa Hotel, everything just worked. We arrived a little tired and overheated, and within an hour, the kids were already racing toward the pool while we were mentally trying to enjoy what the hotel had to offer. The hotel sits a short walk from the beach. It’s close enough that heading out with towels and flip-flops never felt like a chore.
During the day, we split our time between the indoor and outdoor pools, while the kids made a beeline for the water slides. It was so hard to drag them away! Your little ones can also hang out at the kids’ club if they’re between 4 and 12, while adults can sneak off to the spa for a proper Turkish hammam or a session in the sauna.
Food-wise, we appreciated the variety. The buffet had a good mix of familiar comfort food and local flavors, so everyone found something they liked. We especially enjoyed trying traditional dishes like dolma, alongside easy options like pizza and pasta when we wanted something simple.

Green Nature Diamond
5
For a premier beachfront experience in Marmaris, the Green Nature Diamond is a standout choice. Thanks to the expansive pool complex and the high-energy watersports available right on the shore, it ensures there’s never a dull moment. And when we wanted to escape the heat, the on-site spa provided us with a tranquil sanctuary for high-end wellness treatments.
The culinary experience was equally impressive, centered around a diverse buffet that seamlessly blended traditional Turkish specialties with global favorites. Aside from that, the resort’s consistent flow of refreshments and light bites also catered to us at any hour.
What truly defines this resort, though, is its universal appeal. It balances family-friendly amenities, like the engaging kids’ clubs, with serene garden spaces for adult relaxation. Whether you are seeking an action-packed holiday or a quiet retreat, the atmosphere is perfectly calibrated, especially during the golden hour.

Golden Key Bordubet

Best for Nature Lovers. Golden Key Bordubet is a secret hideaway in Bördübet Bay. If you consider yourself a nature lover, you’ll love this place. Everywhere we looked, there was greenery. If you’re even mildly into birdwatching, you’ll be in heaven! While we were there, we loved to spend our mornings spotting different birds flitting through the trees. You can also meet ducks, turtles, rabbits, and many other animals on the property.
“This hotel almost felt like the perfect combination of a zoo and a botanical garden, in the best way possible.”
WOW Travel
That said, it’s not all hammocks and doing nothing, unless you want it to be. When we felt like moving, the hotel helped us arrange a hike along the Carian Trail, Turkey’s longest walking route. On other days, we leaned into the coastal vibes and headed to the hotel’s private beach for some water sports.
Our Deluxe Double Room blended beautifully with the surroundings, and it came with a lovely private balcony. The whole place feels thoughtfully designed, right down to the animal and bird artwork on the walls that subtly mirrors the setting outside. And the food? Hard to beat! Meals were fresh and seasonal, featuring seafood caught nearby and vegetables straight from the hotel’s own garden.

Marti Resort Deluxe Hotel

Our two-night stay at the Marti Resort Deluxe Hotel was a highlight of our time in Marmaris. This hotel gave us a stunning backdrop that melts away the travel-related tension. Since the resort operates on an all-inclusive basis, we were able to fully immerse ourselves in the upscale atmosphere and relax completely, free from the distraction of managing daily expenses.
The culinary experience really stood out during our visit. We would kick off each morning with an expansive breakfast spread, and the availability of treats like ice cream and light snacks throughout the afternoon kept us full all the time. With such an extensive rotation of dishes served at lunch and dinner, the dining options remained fresh and exciting every single day.
Whether you’re traveling as a couple or with the whole family, this resort balances everyone’s needs perfectly. While the dedicated kids’ club keeps younger guests entertained, adults can retreat to the spa or explore the local boutiques. Cook’s Club Adakoy
2
Best for Adults. After spending our time at Cook’s Club Adakoy, we realized we should do trips like that more often. This adults-only hotel is located quietly on the Adakoy Peninsula, surrounded by pine-covered hills and water on all sides. The beauty was also felt in our room, which was decorated with white walls, plenty of light, and pops of color from Turkish rugs and cushions.
Our mornings always started the same way: coffee in hand, straight to the pool. Better yet, there’s always music playing, making it very easy to lose track of time. When we felt slightly guilty about all the lounging, we would balance it out with a gym session or a game of beach volleyball. We also booked a hammam, and it was so good. If you’re into wellness, the yoga sessions are worth penciling in, too.
Food ended up being a highlight we weren’t fully expecting. The Cantina does Turkish classics really well, and we kept going back to the çökertme kebab. And whenever we needed a drink, we would just head to the Captain Cook bar. Their “Rakish” cocktail is a must-order. No wonder it’s also named one of the best hotels in Marmaris!

D Maris Bay

Best Luxury. D Maris Bay is easily one of, if not the best, luxury resorts in all of Turkey. Imagine, this place boasts five gorgeous white-sand beaches to choose from, multiple indoor and outdoor pools, a full water ski school, and a state-of-the-art spa center with zen treatment rooms.
The rooms here are just as polished as the surroundings. Most of them look straight out over the sea, and even those facing the mountains don’t miss out on the scenery. The design is sleek and modern. Think soft taupes, rich chocolate tones, beautiful fabrics, and subtle touches of Turkish art. We booked the Deluxe Sea-View Room, which came with a separate hot tub room overlooking the bay. For those wanting to go all out, there’s even a two-bedroom villa with its own pool and a dedicated butler.
Dining at D Maris Bay could be a trip in itself. Those into Japanese cuisine can savor sushi at Zuma, and we loved the classic Turkish mezes and Anatolian flavors at D Maris Kitchen. Steak lovers will recognize Nusr-Et, the famous spot owned by “Salt Bae” himself, while Manos delivers laid-back Greek taverna vibes with roots on the nearby island of Simi. For seafood, La Guérite served up Aegean favorites like calamari and octopus with unbeatable views.

Where to Stay in Marmaris
Choosing the perfect base can elevate your holiday from a simple getaway to an unforgettable experience. For those visiting for the first time, the Marmaris city center is the undisputed hub, offering immediate access to the region’s most iconic attractions. The area effectively splits into two distinct vibes: Siteler, where you’ll find upscale, high-end resorts hugging the shoreline, and Uzunyalı, better known as “Long Beach,” which serves as the pulse of the local nightlife with its bustling, car-free boardwalk and endless array of eateries.
If you prefer a more tranquil, nature-oriented setting, İçmeler is a fantastic alternative located just a short 8 km (4.97 miles) trip down the coast. This suburb is a favorite for families, trading the high-energy city streets for lush pine forests and a beach that’s notably broader and more pristine than its central counterpart. While it boasts a lovely selection of boutiques and waterside cafes, the atmosphere remains significantly more laid-back.
For the budget-conscious traveler or those seeking a more authentic residential atmosphere, Armutalan is a hidden gem. Positioned slightly inland, this neighborhood benefits from a refreshing mountain breeze and a break from the coastal humidity. Since it lacks direct beach access, you’ll find that your money goes much further here.
