The Westshore Grand

Best for Business. Nestled in the heart of the Westshore business district, The Westshore Grand is the perfect blend of work and play. We were just a short drive from downtown Tampa, the Convention Center, and even the airport, which made our arrival and departure super smooth.

What really stood out to us was how business-friendly the hotel was. We got a peek at the event spaces, and they looked seriously impressive. There are 10 meeting rooms and almost 18,000 sq ft of event space. Sleek decor, solid AV setups, and enough room for everything from intimate bridal showers to full-blown weddings or conferences. If we were ever hosting something in Tampa, this place would be high on our list.

Our room, the Superior King, was also impressive. It was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed to unwind and get a little work done. The ergonomic chair and desk were a nice amenity, and we actually found ourselves being productive, which doesn’t always happen on trips!

Le Méridien Tampa, The Courthouse

Best Location. Our list of the best Tampa Florida Marriott hotels wouldn’t be complete without Le Méridien Tampa, The Courthouse. Set in a former federal courthouse downtown, it’s just a few blocks from the Riverwalk and close to Ybor City, the Arts District, and the Henry Plant Museum. The hotel even offers a free shuttle within a three-mile radius, which made exploring super easy!
The staff were fantastic, too. They were friendly, professional, and full of local tips, especially around arts and culture. We were fascinated to learn that the pool area was once where paddy wagons pulled up! There’s also a small fitness center open 24/7, bike rentals, and a handy lobby shop for snacks and sundries.

Our room was cozy, with cool grey tones, big windows, and a super comfy bed. Some rooms used to be holding cells, but now they’re stylish and well-equipped with Illy coffee, a mini fridge, and luxe Malin + Goetz bath products. It’s a unique stay that blends charm, convenience, and character.

The CURRENT Hotel, Autograph Collection

Best Dining Options. Luxurious amenities? Amazing location? Impeccable views? The CURRENT Hotel has everything! Tucked away on Rocky Point and just a short drive from downtown Tampa, we loved how peaceful it felt while still being close to the city’s buzz. Whether we wanted to relax at Ben T Davis Beach, head to a Bucs game at Raymond James Stadium, or shop at International Plaza, everything was within easy reach. In fact, The CURRENT Hotel is named one of the best beachfront hotels in Tampa, Florida!

One of our favorite parts of the stay was the rooftop experience. Casa Camí completely stole the show with its panoramic views, breezy vibe, and incredible Mexican-inspired dishes. We easily spent hours there, sipping craft cocktails and watching the sky turn shades of orange and pink. Back on the ground floor, Julian’s bar made for a cozy, more laid-back spot to wind down the evening. And when we needed to shake off the extra tacos, the 9th-floor fitness center had everything we needed, along with the views of the bay.

Moreover, our room was just as impressive. Waking up to those sweeping bay views every morning was such a treat. The space felt airy and calming, with soft bedding that made it tempting to sleep in. We appreciated the sleek marble bathroom, strong Wi-Fi, and thoughtful design touches that made everything feel curated but not overly fancy.

JW Marriott Tampa Water Street

Best Luxury. We were instantly struck by the modern elegance of JW Marriott Tampa Water Street the moment we arrived. Rising high above the city’s skyline, this sleek, 27-story hotel is a true landmark. From the outside, it already felt like a place that would raise the bar for what a Tampa getaway could look like. Fun fact: it was the 100th JW Marriott property worldwide!
At this high-end hotel, there are tons of things to see, do, and explore. The 6th-floor pool deck was our mini resort, complete with private cabanas and two inviting pools. We also treated ourselves to a massage at the Spa by JW (highly recommend), and later bounced between the dining options without ever needing to leave the hotel. Beacon, the rooftop bar on the 27th floor, was the highlight for us. With its indoor/outdoor setup and sweeping views, it was the perfect spot for cocktails and sunset small plates.

After doing everything, nothing felt better than settling into our spacious room. With its floor-to-ceiling windows and jaw-dropping views of Tampa Bay and the Amalie Arena, we felt like royalty during our entire stay. If you have the budget, you won’t regret staying here.

The Tampa EDITION

Best Boutique. Looking for unique Marriott hotels in Tampa Florida? Take a look at The Tampa EDITION. Right in the heart of downtown’s Water Street District, we couldn’t have asked for a better home base. But the moment we walked into the hotel, we nearly forgot about the outside world. The design is a visual masterpiece, which somehow mixes raw industrial elements with Art Deco charm and lush greenery, and it all works.

What made the stay even better was the sheer range of things to do within the hotel. Whether we were lounging by the pool bar with a cocktail, grabbing a bite at the market, or soaking up the atmosphere in the arts club, it always felt fresh. We also treated ourselves to some spa time and squeezed in a quick workout at the fitness center. And of course, dinner at the Michelin-starred Lilac was an experience in itself.
We stayed in a One-Bedroom Suite, and it was hard not to feel a little spoiled. The views stretched out over the water and the city skyline, and the space itself was sleek, spacious, and designed with serious attention to detail. Every corner of the room felt intentional, from the lighting to the textures to the high-end amenities.

Best Views. We stayed at the Tampa Marriott Water Street while attending an event at the convention center, and we couldn’t have picked a more convenient spot, as it was literally just a minute’s walk away. Nestled right along the waterfront, this hotel gave us the best of both worlds: downtown access and serene bay views. Whether we were heading out to explore the city or just soaking up the atmosphere by the Hillsborough River, everything felt close and connected.

Our favorite part of the stay? Easily the 27th-floor rooftop bar. Sipping a cocktail while watching the sun dip behind the Tampa skyline was unforgettable. During the day, we enjoyed relaxing by the outdoor pool, which also looks out over the bay. Those looking for the best hotel pools in Tampa would definitely love this one. And when we didn’t feel like venturing out for food, the hotel’s casual restaurant downstairs offered tasty, no-fuss options.
For our stay, we booked the extremely spacious King Room. The view of Tampa Bay from our window was a peaceful way to start and end each day. The room had all the essentials: a comfy bed, a flat-screen TV, and a desk for getting a little work done. Even with everything, our room didn’t feel cramped at all.
