Accra City Hotel

The Accra City Hotel is a good choice for travelers looking for a comfortable, convenient, and affordable stay in the city. Though we only spent a night there, we were glad we did. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel has a variety of amenities to keep us busy. It was all about recreation, and we were kept busy by the swimming pool, fitness center, and bar. Heck, there’s even a tennis court where you and your friend can have a friendly competition. Sounds fun, right?
Another thing that we loved during our stay was the breakfast. Each morning, you’ll be given a wide selection of hearty, yummy breakfast menus. When we were there, there were burgers, ice cream, as well as cold beverages and juices. Everything was good, and we didn’t have to head outside for breakfast. While the rooms are on the smaller side, they’re cozy. We stayed in the Superior Queen Room and were welcomed with a bottle of wine. We particularly loved the seating area that offered views of the garden.

Airport View Hotel

Best Airport Hotel. For an overnight stay, you should consider the Airport View Hotel. It’s less than a mile away from the airport and is popular among business travelers. Like other airport hotels in Accra, Ghana, there’s a free airport shuttle that you can take, too. We only stayed a night here, and we spotted tons of business and government buildings near the hotel. Though the rates are affordable, the rooms here are nice. Our Deluxe Room was cleaner than we expected, and despite the hotel’s proximity to the airport, we weren’t too disturbed by the noises. Some rooms even come with massage chairs, which are perfect after hours of meetings.
After a good night’s sleep, we would start our morning with a cup of coffee in our room. Then, we would head downstairs to enjoy the complimentary breakfast. It was a hearty one, and it tasted good. Everything was fresh, and we particularly loved the juice collections. If you want to keep your body fit, you’ll be thrilled to know that the hotel also boasts a fitness center. Though not big, it’s enough to keep up your fitness routine. On top of that, there’s a swimming pool, too.

Conveniently set in the heart of the city is D’avenue Boutique Hotel Accra. This 5-star hotel truly deserves more recognition than it receives. We were shocked that it wasn’t as popular as other luxurious hotels in the city, so we decided to include it on this list. From a refreshing outdoor swimming pool to a state-of-the-art gym, this hotel has everything you could possibly need. We particularly enjoyed the newly opened Spa-Genics. The on-site spa center was luxurious and offered us tons of premium treatment. We gave the hot stone massage a try, and it was divine.
While there are so many cafes and eateries in the vicinity, we highly recommend the in-house Yellow Door. It offers African and French cuisine as well as some options for vegans, too. The food was insanely good, and we didn’t even order anything from outside. And when it was time to call it a day, we would head back to our Deluxe Double Room. It was huge, and the toilet was amazing. There were free high-end toiletries and bathrobes. In the morning, we would enjoy the views of the city from the comfort of our balcony.

Including the Fiesta Royale Hotel is a must. Nestled amidst lush greenery, the hotel exuded an air of tranquility, which was a welcome contrast to the bustling streets of Accra. The casual rooms on the property are nothing special, but they do check all the right boxes. Our room was a haven of modern luxury. In the morning I was able to enjoy the warmth of the sunlight streamed through the windows. At night, I was able to make myself a cup of tea and have some light as there was a tea maker and a minibar.
Whatever you need, the hotel provides. Business travelers who need to have a meeting can gather in one of the meeting rooms, while gym rats can work out in the fitness center. Our favorite, though, was the outdoor pool. Surrounded by trees and sun loungers, it was the perfect spot to unwind and soak up the warm Ghanaian sun. Best of all, this hotel is generous. In addition to free parking and high-speed Wi-Fi, it offers a free airport shuttle service.

Best Budget. Who says you have to spend a fortune to have a memorable trip to Accra? If you’re tight on budget but don’t want to sacrifice comfort, the Olma Colonial Suites is your answer. Its highlight, as you can see below, is none other than its beautiful pool area. It was our go-to spot to relax and soak up the sun. Imagine chilling in the water with your favorite cocktail as you’re admiring the beautiful flowers surrounding the pool. Nothing gets better than that. The cherry on top? The staff was super friendly to us, and they went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay.
Though it’s a budget-friendly option, the rooms here are all well-maintained and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. We stayed in the Standard Apartment, and it was honestly bigger than we expected. We had our own living room, a separate bathroom, as well as a well-equipped bathroom. The overall vibe was very homey, and it felt like we were having a sleepover at our friend’s. If you don’t mind spending a bit more, you can check out the Superior Suite or the Luxury Two-Bedroom Apartment.

During our recent visit to Accra, we were lucky enough to be able to stay at Tang Palace Hotel, and it was an experience that left a lasting impression. When we arrived, we were greeted by the striking architecture, which set the tone for a luxurious stay. The hotel location is also worth mentioning. It’s conveniently close to the airport and some of the city’s popular attractions. The staff was super friendly, too. They showed us which landmarks were worth visiting and what to do in Accra.
Furthermore, the room we stayed in was a testament to comfort and elegance. We booked the Superior Double Room, and it was great. With plush furnishings and a spacious layout, it was the perfect place to say goodnight. One of the hotel’s highlights is the Chinese restaurant. The dim sum was sumptuous, and if you’re into Chinese cuisine, this place won’t disappoint. Also, don’t forget to burn calories in the fitness center or swimming pool after a hearty meal.

Experience 5-star opulence at Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel Accra, one of our favorite hotels in Accra, Ghana. Set in the heart of Accra’s business district, the location is hard to beat. Staying here, we were able to easily visit some major attractions like the World Trade Center. While there are so many restaurants nearby, you have to try Sankofa, the hotel’s in-house restaurant. From fresh seafood to international delicacies, everything we ordered tasted so good. Our experience eating on its terrace was even elevated to a whole new level by the views of the lush garden and the pool.
What about the rooms? Every room and suite on the property comes with stunning views of the garden or the city. All the essentials, like free WI-Fi and coffee facilities, are present, too. Best Location. With a prime beachfront location and nestled amidst lush tropical gardens, things are perfect at Labadi Beach Hotel. As the name suggests, this hotel allowed us to step directly onto the soft sands of Labadi Beach. It’s a haven for sunbathers, surfers, and beachgoers. We loved spending our afternoon there witnessing the sunsets while sipping a glass of cocktail at the beach bar. In addition to the beach, you can also wander through the hotel’s expansive gardens. Our gallery was filled with pictures of coconut palms and vibrant flowers.
“Labadi Beach Hotel isn’t just a place to sleep. It’s where you can enjoy the sun-kissed sand and azure waves whenever you want.”

If the beach is crowded, you can still take a refreshing dip in the outdoor swimming pool. Guests who want to maintain their workout routine can also head to the in-house fitness center. For something more fun with your friends, why not partner up for a game of tennis on the tennis court? During our stay, we slept in the Superior Double Room. Though not the biggest, it was a fantastic experience. With elegant furnishings and a private balcony offering views of the garden, we felt like we didn’t want to leave the hotel.

Villa Monticello Boutique Hotel

Best Boutique. When it comes to boutique hotels, nothing beats the Villa Monticello Boutique Hotel. We think the best word to describe this hotel is “elegance.” Unlike other huge hotels, this boutique hotel only offers 16 suites in total. Each of them is beautifully decorated, promising personalized attention and an intimate atmosphere. The plush bedding at our Junior Suite put us to sleep in mere minutes, and the bathroom was spotless and equipped with every amenity we could think of. Some even feature private kitchenettes, which we think are great for families.
This hotel sure knows how to keep its guests busy and entertained. You’re free to make a splash in the swimming pool or work up a sweat in the fitness center. We even indulged in the cultural tour and were able to learn more about the city and its traditions. There’s truly something for everyone. But if you’re not in the mood to venture out, you can spoil your tastebud in The Brasserie instead. The on-site restaurant offers exceptional local and international cuisines. A tip from us: enjoy your food in the al fresco area along with your favorite drink.

Only a short stroll away from the Accra Shopping Mall is the African Regent Hotel. As you can guess from its name, this is a polished African-themed hotel. When we first arrived, we were immediately awed by the decor. Most parts of the hotel are dominated by rich earth tones reminiscing of warm African colors. Along with lush greenery and handcrafted wooden sculptures, this hotel brought a sense of tranquility. We especially loved spending our spare time in the outdoor swimming pool. And if you want to pamper your tired body, head to the spa center and ask for their most fabulous treatment!
This hotel is also about service, and based on our experience, it was exceptional. The staff exuded warmth and professionalism. They would go above and beyond to ensure our every need was met. On another note, our room was a luxurious retreat. We booked the Junior Suite, and it blended modern amenities with touches of traditional Ghanaian decor. The ambiance was both opulent and inviting. Also, don’t call it a day if you haven’t dined at the on-site Mukyia. It serves some of the best meals in the city, and the Ghana Jollof is a must-try.

We were welcomed with refined elegance and impeccable service when we stepped into the contemporary lobby. The sophistication is also evident in each of its 269 spacious rooms and suites. We stayed in the Executive Room, and it was a blast. Plush bedding, floor-to-ceiling windows, and breathtaking city views made our stay memorable.
