Perfect Palm Springs Getaway
We really couldn’t have asked for a better spot to soak up the sun and explore Palm Springs. Desert Vacation Villas is nestled in the scenic foothills of the San Jacinto Mountains. We were basically in a perfect sweet spot for exploring everything Palm Springs has to offer. Being just minutes away from downtown meant we could easily pop in for dinner or shopping without being caught in the hustle and bustle.
The hotel’s position gave us stunning desert views while keeping us close to all the action. We loved that the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway was nearby – perfect for days when we wanted to escape the desert heat and take in those breathtaking mountain vistas. For our more adventurous days, we had our pick of canyon hiking trails right at our doorstep. What really made this location shine was its accessibility to everything. Whether we felt like hitting the golf courses, playing tennis, trying our luck at the casinos, or treating ourselves to a spa day, nothing was too far away. Even Wet ‘N’ Wild Palm Springs was just a quick 6-mile drive when we needed some family fun. You can even use the free bike to get around.

Stay Relaxed and Active
During our stay at Desert Vacation Villas, we also got to experience the resort’s array of amenities. The centerpiece was definitely the refreshing pool area, where we spent countless hours cooling off from the desert heat. In addition to the pool, the hot tub provided a perfect spot for evening relaxation under the stars.
We appreciated the convenience of having coin-operated laundry facilities on-site, which came in handy during our extended stay. Meanwhile, the outdoor barbecue grills were well-maintained and became our go-to for casual dinners, letting us enjoy al fresco meals in the pleasant desert evenings.
For the active people in your group, feel free to take advantage of the basketball court for some friendly games. There’s a ping pong table that offers a fun alternative when you want to stay out of the sun.
“We really loved the amenities! They kept us busy and entertained even during our free time.”

Two-Bedroom Villa
At Desert Vacation Villas, there’s only one type of room to choose from, and it’s a two-bedroom villa. When we first stepped into the villa, we were instantly in love. The thoughtful design of the residence truly created that perfect “home away from home” atmosphere we were looking for in Palm Springs. There was nothing too fancy and everything felt just right.
The villa exceeded our expectations with its impressive spaciousness and impeccable cleanliness. Our favorite spot quickly became the generously sized living area, where multiple plush sofas invited us to take afternoon naps – something we couldn’t resist! The full kitchen came equipped with everything we needed, making meal preparation a breeze during our stay.
Entertainment wasn’t an issue with the provided television and DVD player, though we spent most of our time enjoying our private outdoor space. Whether sipping morning coffee or enjoying evening drinks, our private patio offered the perfect retreat.

Top Dining Options
If you’re wondering, the Desert Vacation Villas doesn’t have any on-site restaurant. However, we didn’t feel like it was a problem at all as we were spoilt with nearby choices. It only took us a few minutes to reach the nearby cafes and restaurants.
One of our favorite discoveries was Copley’s on Palm Canyon. Nestled within the former Cary Grant estate, we’ve found this gem to be one of Palm Springs’ most romantic dining destinations. The outdoor terrace, complete with a serene fountain, creates an enchanting atmosphere that perfectly complements the elevated American cuisine. The New York steak, paired with fresh asparagus, is a must-try.
Then, there’s Farm. This intimate Provençal establishment became our go-to spot for a memorable breakfast experience. The country-chic décor and outdoor seating area transport us straight to the French countryside, making every visit feel like a mini-vacation. We loved the chicken and waffles, which were accompanied by expertly seasoned sauteed potatoes. The crepes were satisfying, too.
