Atlantic Ocean 2
11
The Atlantic Ocean 2 is a destination that is a home away from home, if a lot more comfortable, and with ample amounts of sunshine and outdoor activities. We certainly enjoyed having so much room for ourselves, but nothing beats having the beach so close by, straight out of the door, in fact.
Even when enjoying a day on the beach is not in the cards, the pools were a convenient substitute. Ample seating is available, and there are three pools to choose from, so some days, it almost felt like having a private pool for ourselves. Plus, the beach isn’t the only destination that’s near to us. Various restaurants and attractions are just within walking distance.
Furthermore, the 3-bedroom and 3-bathroom condo made our family stay hassle-free, with no need to fight for who gets the bathroom first, and enough beds that our family could enjoy our privacy. The hotel even went the extra mile by providing a fully equipped kitchen, a dinner table, a seating room, and a balcony. On top of having such amenities, the room’s decors are also up to date and are easy on the eyes. Clean white furnishing and blue splashes here and there paint a refreshing vibe to the guestroom.

Sunrise Surf

Sunrise Surf is yet another condo-style hotel in Tybee Island that we had the pleasure of staying at. Located just off the shores, our days were spent going back and forth from the beach. Plus, the rooms here are provided with ocean-facing balconies, so even when we’re indoors, we still feel surrounded by the ocean.
On top of having such an amazing location advantage, the hotel also provided us with great services. From having spacious, pristine condos and ample in-room amenities, including a fully-equipped kitchen, a seating area, a dining table, and 3 bedrooms, staying here was bliss. Moreover, we were also given so many activities packages to choose from. There was mini-golfing, cycling, hiking, and more. The kids also had fun playing at the hotel’s children’s playground. So, all in all, everyone was pretty satisfied with our time at the Sunrise Surf.

Best guestroom. Staying on an aparthotel always guarantees a bigger space and tons of in-room amenities, and Ocean Song gave us exactly that. It was perfect for a weeklong stay, and the amenities turned out to be useful, especially since the kitchen cut down a lot on our dining-out budget. That said, when we weren’t in the mood for cooking, the onsite restaurant provided an easy place to eat.
But of course, the star feature of the hotel is its proximity to the beach. It was literally just outside our guestroom, so all day every day at the beach, is a given. Furthermore, the balcony also offered a magnificent view of the beach, so we could enjoy the ocean breeze without even stepping outside. There are also two outdoor pools and numerous sun loungers to choose from. It truly was a vacation spent mostly dipping in waters at the Ocean Song.

Best hotel for families. Providing two-bedroom guestrooms, Tybee Beach Club stands out as the best stay for families on Tybee Island. Not only we were promised (and delivered!) a spacious guestroom, but we were also given easy access to the beach and two outdoor pools to choose from.
The outdoor facilities were sure fun and amazing, but the in-room amenities weren’t lacking either. The luxurious condos offer excellent views, a fully equipped kitchen, a washing machine, and even better furnishing. The spacious living room next to the balcony made it really hard to stop relaxing and simply watching TV, even with the great white sandy beach just outside the window.
Plus, having close access to a shopping center made everything we wanted to do devilishly simple. No more stressing out for forgotten swimming wear or goggles; a simple stroll would allow us to buy anything we’ve missed or even just to buy souvenirs.

Beach Racquet

As we expected of a hotel located in a tropical destination, the white sandy beach at Beach Racquet is right in front of the hotel, with a wooden walkway leading straight to the waters. And when comes to the pool, there was no lack of loungers, making it that much easier to enjoy the sunny afternoon after a bout of swimming.
The guestrooms here are as nice as aparthotel guestrooms go. With a nicely furnished one-bedroom guest room complete with a seating area, a kitchen, and a balcony, we had a blissful stay here. Plus, after a day of fun at the beach, the BBQ facilities came in handy when we wanted to end the night with a hearty dinner.
That said, the hotel’s proximity to Tybee’s famous Lighthouse Museums was also something we had to highlight. Other than having amazing beaches, Tybee Island is also full of history, one we had a great time learning and exploring with the Historical Bike Tour of Tybee Island.

Hotel Tybee

Best location. Hotel Tybee is the hotel on Tybee Island, right on the sands, and that has everything. For starters, it checks out one of the most important features, which is having private beach access (plus beach chairs!). And not only that, but the hotel also provided us with classic tropical vacation necessities. They have outdoor swimming pools, tiki bars, souvenir shops, and various water sports activities. We had so much fun snorkeling, diving, and fishing. Moreover, the beach isn’t the only location that’s just steps away from the hotel. We were also minutes from Tybrisa Street, where the local shops and restaurants are.
On top of that, the guestrooms and services here are just as fantastic. We had the opportunity to stay in the standard king room with the ocean view, and honestly, the view was the star of the room. We couldn’t get enough of waking up with the sun and relaxing by the evening, watching the sunset from our room. Plus, the room was just all-around comfortable. Complete with a plush bed, a cable TV, and a microwave, we had nothing to complain about.

DeSoto Beach Terraces

Our stay in the DeSoto Beach Terraces was a great experience. Tastefully decorated, the fully furnished room didn’t feel at all crowded, despite the kitchenette in the room. A fully furnished kitchenette, we might add. Having our own dining area in our own room certainly made breakfast and supper that much more comfortable.
Of course, that feeling was more contributed by the spacey balcony on offer, complete with a seating area and a table. It wouldn’t be complete without the view, of course, and luckily our room had an outstanding view straight to the beach, making for breathtaking sunsets and night viewing.
There wasn’t a lack of things to do either if the beach was too sunny or the hotel pool was too crowded. The hotel also offered a barbecue service and even a picnic area for us to enjoy. And for the days when outdoor activities were just too tiring, there’s a pool table and seven a game room for more indoor fun.

Dunes Inn and Suites

Best value for money. The Dunes Inn and Suites may not be right in front of the beach, but it’s only less than a minute’s walk from the beach, which is just as good. In fact, even if it’s not by the beach, we still had the advantage of the hotel being smack-dabbed in the middle of Butler Ave. It’s the area that hosts various Tybee Island attractions, including shops, bars, and restaurants. So really, it was amazing for us party-goers. Plus, the hotel also has an outdoor pool, so when we’re not in the mood for the beach, the pool’s a great alternative.
Partying and lounging by the pool aside, we also find the guestrooms to be nice and accommodating. With the hotel’s cheap price point, we were delighted to have clean guestrooms and in-room amenities like a fridge, a TV, a microwave, and even a bathroom with a bathtub. Overall, we weren’t disappointed with what we got, and we had a splendid time staying here.

Tybee Stars

Tybee Stars is another hotel/condo that we would recommend you stay in when you’re traveling to Tybee Island with your family. Firstly, we can guarantee that the condo is spacious enough for six people, especially since the condo has 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed available in the living room. Furthermore, the hotel also has all the standard condo amenities. There’s a washing machine and a fully-equipped kitchen with a stovetop, an oven, a microwave, and a coffee maker. Although, the best spot of the condo has got to be the oceanfront balcony. It’s huge enough to have a picnic table, and you’ll have that amazing Atlantic Ocean view all day, every day.
That said, what we really want to highlight is the hotel’s proximity to the beach. It’s quite literally just a step away from our room. So our days here were really just either spent playing in the sand or taking a dip in the ocean. When night falls, we have a nice dinner on our balcony, and the best part is that we can make our own food! We truly had a magical time staying at Tybee Star.

DeSoto Beach Hotel

We wanted to stay in one of the best hotels on Tybee Island on the sands, and we decided that the DeSoto Beach Hotel was the one. For starters, the hotel got direct access to the beach, which was a must-have for us. Secondly, it also has an outdoor pool, which is an additional feature that we very much love.
On top of having those two amazing features, we were also pleasantly delighted with the other facilities available. There was an entertainment room with pool tables, a gift shop, and a continental breakfast every morning. Furthermore, aside from being practically on the beach, the hotel’s surrounding area is perfect. Just outside the hotel, we could find plenty of local restaurants and shops. So stuffing ourselves with Tybee Island’s delicacies, going shopping, and playing on the beach, were pretty much our whole itinerary while staying here.
Now, after a full day of fun in Tybee Island, we had our comfortable hotel room to go home to. Having simple and elegant decor, plus a feather-soft bed, we slept like a baby in our room. And by the mornings, we were awoken by the shining sunrise from our ocean-facing window.

Weston Beach Place

When it comes to the best beachfront hotel in Tybee Island, we have to go with Weston Beach Place. Not only that this hotel have everything we needed to unwind, but it also gave us unforgettable memories and made us wish we could extend our holiday. It’s located in the North Beach area but still secluded enough to not be among the rowdy crowd and partygoers. Don’t get us wrong, we love a fun night out, and what’s amazing is that Weston Beach Place is still close to the party scene, but thanks to the hotel’s secluded nature, we could go home to some peace and quiet.
Furthermore, the most important feature of Weston Beach Place is that it’s only a few steps away from the beach. We even got a beautiful view of the ocean from our rooms. So our days would consist of going to parties on some nights, and in the morning, we could heal our hangover by just taking in the ocean breeze.
Now, the hotel itself is more like a cottage, where we have the whole place to ourselves. So privacy is guaranteed here. What’s more, we have a pretty good array of facilities. There’s a spacious kitchen filled with all the cooking wares we needed, a dining table, a spacious living room, and our favorites, the ocean-facing veranda and the huge backyard.
“Everything about Weston Beach Place is just straight up amazing and perfect for our dream Tybee Island vacation. But the huge backyard though was something else! We didn’t even need to Tybrisa Street to party, we could just throw them ourselves in the backyard!”

From our time on this beautiful island, we find that the North Beach and South Beach are some of the best neighborhoods to stay in while on Tybee Island.
For starters, North Beach is an area located on the northernmost part of the island and offers a quieter and more secluded atmosphere. It’s known for its beautiful beachfront, marsh views, and residential neighborhoods. So the hotels that stayed in this area are quieter and serene. The area offers a variety of restaurants, shops, and entertainment options. It’s ideal for those who want to be closer to the island’s main attractions and enjoy a vibrant atmosphere.
