Bali is such a popular global destination that many people mistake it for a country. It’s actually part of Indonesia, and the island’s Ngurah Rai International Airport is among the busiest ones in the country. We just returned from the island, and though it hasn’t been long, we’re already missing it. The temples are nothing short of majestic, the beaches are perfect for surfing, and don’t get us started with the mouth-watering cuisine. However, the traffic can also be crazy. Thankfully, the airport hotels Bali has to offer are ready to accommodate. They’re a great choice if you want to avoid the hassle of traffic or have a super early or late flight. Our team was lucky enough to be able to stay at some of the top hotels near the airport. Want to know which ones are our favorite? Keep reading!

Fairfield by Marriott Bali South Kuta
11
The first hotel on this list is Fairfield by Marriott Bali South Kuta. Due to its proximity to the airport, it has become a popular choice among travelers. Aside from airport transfer, bike rental is also available, making getting around a breeze. Yes, we highly recommend exploring the hotel’s surrounding area, as there are so many local restaurants and shops to explore. Also, if you want to feel the white sand and feel the warmth of the sun, the beach is only a five-minute walk away.
One of the facilities that we enjoyed the most was the rooftop pool. It was our go-to place to chillax and hang out. Plus, there’s also a pool bar, so you can enjoy your downtime along with your favorite drink. Rounding up the facilities are the gym and tranquil spa center. The rooms at this hotel feature wood furnishings and beautiful wall art. Our room was the Superior King Room, which came with a private balcony and views of the hotel’s surrounding area. It may not be the fanciest, but it certainly gave us a comfortable stay.

Want to enjoy life to the fullest and experience a tranquil stay in Bali? Make sure to check out The Patra Bali Resort & Villas! As an upscale hotel airport Bali Denpasar has to offer, it offers its guests everything they need and possibly more. For instance, you don’t have to worry about airport transfer since the hotel offers a free airport shuttle service. This is so helpful, especially if this is your first time in Bali and you’re not familiar with the local transportation. Additionally, there are boats that go to the surf reefs next to the hotel, which is great for surfers.
Being a 5-star hotel, you don’t have to leave the resort to have the perfect day. On the property, there are three different restaurants to choose from. We enjoyed dining at The Teratai Coffee Shop. Aside from caffeine, it also offers guests Indonesian and Western cuisine. We were all kept busy throughout our stay as there was a modern fitness center, a tennis court, and also multiple swimming pools. And if you plan to stay here, we highly recommend booking the Energizing Floating Breakfast. After all, we can’t think of a better way to start your day than by enjoying a nutritious breakfast in the pool. By the way, have you read our list of the best hotels with private pools in Bali?

Swiss-Belhotel Tuban

Only 10 minutes away from the airport, Swiss-Belhotel Tuban is one of our favorite hotels near Ngurah Rai International Airport. Those who travel by car will appreciate the fact that parking is free. However, if you don’t plan to rent a car, getting around is still a breeze. You can either rent an online taxi bike or take advantage of the hotel’s car hire and bike rental. Airport transfers are available, too, albeit at additional charges. Staying here also means you’ll be surrounded by countless local eateries, but we highly recommend going to Ayam Betutu Pak Man Kuta. It’s not a tourist trap restaurant, so you don’t have to queue for hours. Plus, the fried chicken is to die for.
The hotel itself is also packed with tons of great facilities. The in-house gym is open 24 hours, so you can work out even when you can’t sleep in the middle of the night. Meanwhile, those who are traveling with their little angels can let them have fun at Cenik Children’s Club. Also, there are two outdoor pools on the property, and one of them is for kids. We loved to spend our spare time there. The pool was big, clean, and we were given pool towels as well. And when it comes to the room, we booked the Grand Deluxe Double Room, which offered us views of the pool and a balcony. We enjoyed the plush bed a lot, and there were also free toiletries.

Holiday Inn Resort Baruna Bali

At Holiday Inn Resort Baruna Bali, you can expect world-class service and top-notch amenities. We had so much fun staying at this hotel as it features 5-star facilities. From the beachfront restaurant to the spa and gym, everything at this hotel is made to please its guests. The rooms are tastefully furnished, and with a touch of Balinese culture; we’re sure you’ll never want to leave the room. We stayed at the Premium King Room, and it was bigger than we expected. Our room also came with a terrace with views of the garden. The best part was that when we booked our room, we were also given a free airport transfer!
Speaking of which, the hotel is only 1.86 mi (3 km) away from the airport, and it takes around 10 minutes to get there in normal circumstances. Apart from being only a short walk away from Jerman Beach, the hotel also puts you in the middle of some of South Kuta’s top restaurants. And if you don’t know where to go, you can check out Lippo Mall Kuta, which is only a 10-minute walk away. Despite being surrounded by eateries and attractions, the hotel is in a quieter area, which guarantees a good night’s sleep.

The Anvaya Beach Resort Bali

Best 5-Star. If you’re the type that never wants to settle for less, The Anvaya Beach Resort Bali is for you. This is a 5-star hotel in Bali that offers Balinese elegance. Set along Jerman Beach, we were able to easily walk to Waterbom Bali and checked out all of the rides and attractions. But if you’re only here for a day or two, we highly recommend enjoying the hotel’s world-class amenities instead. While we were there, we would begin our day by joining the yoga class, which was followed by beach volleyball on the hotel’s private beach. But if that sounds too tiring, why don’t you head to Sakanti Spa? It’s the perfect barefoot sanctuary for those who want to rejuvenate on the Island of Gods.
We stayed at the Premiere Room, and though not the fanciest at the hotel, we still had a blast. Every corner of the room was spotless, and it had everything we needed. From a mini-bar to hairdryers and high-end toiletries, you name it! We also enjoyed spending our time on the balcony with our tea. You may wonder whether the airport is close to the hotel or not. Well, you shouldn’t worry. From the airport, it took us about 15 minutes to reach the hotel. However, it was faster for us to get to the airport from the hotel. It took us only 8 minutes.

Febri’s Hotel & Spa

Best for Families. Febri’s Hotel & Spa claims itself to be the best family hotel in Bali, and after spending a night there, we totally agree. Though not the nearest airport hotel, it’s still close to the airport. You can take your time and enjoy your last minutes at the hotel before catching your flight, as the airport is only around a 10-minute drive away from the hotel. Set in Kuta, the location of this hotel can’t get any better. By ordering taxis, we were able to transport ourselves to Kuta Beach in mere minutes. And since we were there, we decided to explore the shops and nightlife of Legian’s main street.
One of the biggest selling points of this hotel is its spa. Probably the best spa in Bali, we had our treatments outdoors. It was a truly unique experience, and there was an outdoor jacuzzi and steam room as well. Don’t feel bad about pampering yourself, though. Feel free to do what you want, as your kids can keep themselves busy in the kids’ playground. Want to have a memorable time together? Head to the pool area and make a splash! Meanwhile, the rustic rooms on the property are inspired by Balinese traditions and feature balconies.

ASTON Kuta Hotel and Residence

It’s impossible to talk about the best hotels near Denpasar Airport without mentioning ASTON Kuta Hotel and Residence. One of the things that we love the most about this hotel is its proximity to Jerman Beach. It took us only a few minutes to get there, and it wasn’t as crowded as other beaches like Kuta Beach or Seminyak Beach. The white sand and blue water allowed us to relax, and there were many kids learning how to surf as the waves were small. In addition to the beach, you can also find many shops, restaurants, and bars near the hotel.
What about the airport? It took us only a six-minute drive from the hotel to get to the airport. On our last day, we didn’t feel like leaving the hotel as it was that good. The trendy restaurant offers you delicious food, and you’re also invited to have a drink at the rooftop bar. It’s the perfect place to meet new people and enjoy the surrounding views. Rounding up the amenities are an outdoor pool and a well-equipped gym. Also, the rooms at this hotel are superb. We stayed at the Superior Double Room, which was soundproofed and featured a bathtub.

Grandmas Plus Hotel Airport

Best Budget. Don’t let the label fool you! Though the Grandmas Plus Hotel Airport isn’t part of the fanciest airport hotels in Bali, it sure knows how to offer a memorable experience. Yes, the rooms at this budget hotel aren’t the biggest. However, aside from that, everything about it is A+. Only 1.5 mi (2.5 km) away from the airport, we were awed by this affordable hotel. Aside from the open-air restaurant, which serves lip-smacking Indonesian dishes, there’s also a cafe and a spa. If you have some spare time, we highly recommend going to the spa center. All of the treatments are cheap, and the masseurs are well-trained.
In addition to that, we also love the outdoor pool. We didn’t expect the pool to be flanked by gardens, but they make the pool area more eye-catching. Furthermore, there’s only one type of room on the property, and you can choose whether to get a double bed or two single beds. Our room was spotless, and there was free bottled water, too. The bathroom was equally clean, and we were provided with free towels, slippers, toothpaste, and toothbrushes. And when it’s time to go to the airport, you can take the hotel’s airport shuttle. However, it’s not complimentary.

HARRIS Hotel Kuta Tuban Bali

Set beside the airport, who doesn’t love the HARRIS Hotel Kuta Tuban Bali? There are so many reasons why we love this hotel. Obviously, one of the biggest reasons is its location. But what’s even more amazing is that we didn’t have to look for a taxi as there was a free airport shuttle that took us to the airport! Even though the hotel is only a 10-minute drive away from the airport, you’ll never have to worry about transport anymore. The airport shuttle is available every hour, so make sure to check your flight schedule before taking the bus.
This hotel has everything you could think of. We had a lot of fun swimming in the outdoor pool and pampering ourselves in the spa center. Some of us also hit the gym during our spare time. But what we enjoyed the most was probably the face. The food there was so good and surprisingly affordable. The rooms here are also worth highlighting. Some of them offer access to the garden and the pool. We stayed at the one with pool access. The room was immaculately clean and had everything I needed.

Novotel Bali Ngurah Rai Airport

Best for Transit. We think the right word to describe Novotel Bali Ngurah Rai Airport is “convenient.” This is the perfect choice for travelers in transit. As one of the best airport hotels Bali has to offer, it took us only about seven minutes to reach the hotel from the airport arrivals on foot. Thanks to its convenient location, you can relax and take a quick rest before or after your flight. In addition to that, there’s also a 24-hour eatery, which is perfect for those who arrive on a late flight and need something to fill their stomach.
“Everything about this hotel was perfect. Our room smelled really good, and there was a swimming pool and the spa treatments were relaxing. Plus, it’s not too far away from Kuta Beach.”
WOW Travel
This hotel makes it possible to have a fun transit without leaving the property. When we were there, we tried the massage at the on-site spa, and it was truly good. The masseurs were friendly, and they knew which spots to focus on. Though we didn’t have the chance to try out the gym, we did take a quick look, and it was equipped with modern equipment. Our room was also great. It was clean, comfy, and the porter was so kind and helped carry out bags to the room.

Hilton Garden Inn Bali Ngurah Rai Airport

Best Overall. It took us only 10 minutes to walk to Hilton Garden Inn Bali Ngurah Rai Airport from the airport. Though we had to walk on the main road’s shoulder, it was completely safe. With its unbeatable location, it’s hard not to favor this hotel. However, it’s not the only thing to love about this accommodation. The hotel’s main goal is to pamper its guests and make them feel like royalty. Throughout our stay, we never had to pay for parking. Exploring the nearby attractions was also a breeze since the hotel provided us with a free shuttle, which, by the way, can also take you to the airport.
While trying out Bali’s delectable local restaurants is a must, we highly encourage having breakfast at the hotel at least once. We were surprised by how delicious it was. It was buffet style, and we were pampered by the number of choices. There’s also a modern gym and an outdoor pool for those who want to work up a sweat. Finally, the rooms are all decorated with modern furniture. We stayed at the Premium Double Room, which allowed us to check out the pool easily. Also, considering everything the hotel offers, we don’t think the rooms are pricey at all.

For the rest, though, you’ll need to either walk outside the arrival hall and go towards the parking area to book an online taxi or bike using the Gojek app, which costs way less than getting a local taxi or private driver. But if you want to skip the hassle, you can order a car using the Grab application. There’s a designated waiting lounge right outside of arrivals for the users.
