Surrounded by a panoramic sea of red dust, beautiful arches, and ancient canyons, Moab, Utah, is the city where the desert quenches the thirst of an adventurous spirit. The scenic drive as you approach the city is breathtaking as every rock, canyon, and valley tells its own story. We also love Moab because it has so much to see and do outdoors throughout the year. However, the weather is often extreme, so once we are back at the hotel, it helps to have everything under one roof, and that includes swimming. We, therefore make hotels in Moab with indoor pools our top picks whenever we visit the Grand Valley. These stays were perfect for us to cool off after spending a long day exploring the gorgeous landscape in and around Moab. If you’re planning a visit to Moab anytime, staying in places with indoor pools allows you to enjoy a swim at any time of the year, so why not?

Red Stone Inn

The pool here isn’t indoors but the property has a large indoor hot tub that serves the same purpose. They also have a small heated pool outdoors and offer guests access to the bigger pool at the Bighorn Lodge across the street. Red Stone Inn is one of the best family-friendly accommodations in Moab featuring 52 rooms. We lodged here during our March visit to Canyonlands National Park.
It is conveniently located near the main road, easy to access, and a few minutes away from Canyonlands. The hotel is also within walking distance of the most important restaurants and bars in the Moab City Center. Besides, our room had a little kitchen, allowing us to enjoy a hot meal and unlimited coffee late at night.
While it doesn’t have the fanciest of rooms, they are as clean and spacious as you would expect from a two-star accommodation. The rugged decorations in the rooms embody the spirit of Moab’s red-sand attractions. Red Stone also has a BBQ area where we enjoyed passing time on our idle mornings.

The superb breakfast, consisting of eggs, waffles, yogurt, and lots of veggies was impressive. The hotel’s bike rentals are also an inexpensive way to get around Moab and the park. While looking for a getaway home for the family in Moab, we were given a big discount on this three-bedroom townhome. It is right in the center of Moab, three blocks from Main Street, so we had no problem locating it. Arches East #389 Downtown Moab became our home away from home for a few days as we explored the different attractions around Moab.
Located in a secured compound, this holiday home has a large living area decorated with photos of Moab landmarks and Mexican art. We had a master bedroom with a king-sized bed and two queen beds in the other bedrooms. There was more than enough room for six people, with child-friendly amenities including two well-stocked bathrooms, a large kitchen, and a patio.
We also enjoyed home-cooked meals in the large kitchen and the BBQ area. Furthermore, the heated indoor pool has a three-foot deep shallow end suitable for children. Moreover, there is an outdoor hot tub on the property with an unhindered view of the red cliffs and sunset.

We were impressed because this is a modern hotel with oversized rooms and suites as well as lots of resting places with natural lighting. We booked a King room but were upgraded to a junior suite on arrival and it was way better. The suite had a large living area with a TV and a pull-out sofa which came in handy after a long day’s hike. WOW Travel
The pool is one of the best things about this hotel though. While the pool itself is outdoors, it is large and has enough chairs for many people. The hot tub, on the other hand, is shaded by a transparent roof like the rest of the hotel’s common areas. The large hot tub is just an extension of the hotel’s patio and carters to guests of all ages including children.
There are bike rentals on site which we used to get around Moab and Arches National Park. The hotel also serves a buffet breakfast which we enjoyed because the pastries were great. With its green surroundings and serene environment, the nights here are cool and quiet making it one of the best hotels with indoor pool/hot tub amenities in Moab.

Big Horn Lodge is hard to miss, being one of the best motels around, located right at the center of Moab. We toured the place in November and loved their heated pool which happened to be one of the few in town still open at that time of the year. The hotel is also close to the Moab Aquatic Center where they have an indoor pool. Moreover, their all-season indoor hot tub was another plus we couldn’t pass on.
We had enough parking space for our truck as well as bikes. The front desk staff was also very helpful, giving us an early check-in as well as a dinner referral. Despite its age, our room was clean and had a well-stocked bathroom, a fridge, and a microwave. We also had a view of the red cliffs behind the hotel from our window giving us the full view of the city’s rustic attractions.

Although the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Moab is not one of the Moab Ut hotels with indoor pools, it has one of the best heated outdoor pools open throughout the year. The pool also features a fountain flowing from a red arch resembling the view of the Moab portal. We discovered this hotel on a recent visit as it is a new hotel with modern facilities that we enjoyed. The best part of this hotel is the view of the mountains from top-room windows. Additionally, it is located near the center of Moab, a walking distance from most eateries, stores, and pubs in town.
The hotel also features lots of table space suitable for large groups and families. The rooms are also designed to give the best sleeping experience, featuring mild blue and white painting and ambient lighting. While looking to enjoy the luxury of Moab’s hospitality with the best pools, we booked a short stay at this popular four-star hotel. Being part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, Hoodoo Moab features one of the most funky decorations of any hotel in Moab. We were upgraded to a suite, giving us an even better experience of the hotel. The suite had a welcoming earthy design curated with extreme detail in the spirit of the nearby Arches National Park.
The suite was clean with modern furnishings including a large television set, a fridge, and a coffeemaker. Their oversized beds were comfortable with soft linens and came with extra bedsheets. We also got extra storage room for luggage and a solid desk for work. However, the best thing about the suite was the clear view of the cliffs.
The hotel has a large pool and hot tub that are open all year despite being outdoors. The heated pool also has a pool bar with a perfect view of the mountains, which made a great place to relax when watching the snow-kissed cliffs in the winter. The hotel also offers room service with food provided by one of Moab’s best steakhouses. The menu had a wide range of continental dishes including vegan options which we appreciated.

This is one of the best Moab Ut hotels with indoor pools to stay in when looking for a decent hotel at a modest price in the Grand Valley. Moab Valley Inn has a wide variety of rooms and Queen suites, making it suitable for a wide variety of guests including families. We booked a deluxe double room and it came with two oversized beds and a large bathroom. It wasn’t the fanciest of rooms, but all fittings were solid, the beds comfortable and the bathrooms clean.
We chose it especially for its indoor-outdoor pool which is open all year. The pool is large enough for many people, with the difference in water temperature on the outside and inside making morning and late-night swims more fun. The pool is also next to a small fitness center where we lost some calories before swimming.
The on-site restaurant doesn’t offer room service but it serves delicious food, especially pastries and eggs. The hotel is also a walking distance away from other eateries in Moab, so our eating options were not limited. We also got free laundry services at the hotel which was a huge plus, making our stay worth every penny.
