Island life
Let’s start this list with the Suite Dreams Inn by the Beach. First of all, this hotel’s location is pure gold. As the only Key West guesthouse with a mere 8-minute stroll to Higgs Beach, you’re practically living the island life.
We loved our stay a lot. Stepping out our door, we instantly felt the warm sand between our toes in minutes. And that’s just the beginning. We’re talking tennis, pickleball, bocce, volleyball, playgrounds, fishing, snorkeling, kayaking, and even a dog park and beach – all within easy reach! A treat for the senses
The Suite Dreams Inn by the Beach sure knew how to put a smile on our faces. The moment we arrived, we were greeted with a delightful spread of complimentary goodies. We enjoyed the breakfast bars and dark chocolates a lot. In addition to that, you can also expect fruit snacks, nuts, key lime cookies, coffee, teas, and fresh fruits. It was surely a great way to kick off our stay.
Speaking of which, we also loved the hotel’s concierge service. They truly went above and beyond to help us plan our stay. From recommending the most romantic fine dining spots to suggesting thrilling water sports, they had it all covered. We felt confident that with their guidance, we would never miss out on any of the best activities and experiences the area had to offer. It was like having a personal vacation planner.

Private pool on the sun deck
Key West is packed with charming hotels, but finding beautiful resorts in Key West with private pools is like striking gold. Trust us; the Suite Dreams Inn by the Beach is pure luxury. We stayed in the Deluxe Apartment, and we couldn’t ask for anything better.
The highlight for us was undoubtedly the private plunge pool. Technically, it wasn’t in the room, but right outside on our sun deck. Surrounded by lush tropical trees, we had the privacy we wanted. We spent countless hours lounging there, feeling the warmth of the sun and sipping on refreshing drinks.
The apartment was spacious and comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen so we could whip up our meals. Plus, the hotel also offered us a complimentary breakfast every morning. Those key lime cookies were to die for!
“Huge, comfy, and with a private pool, this apartment was everything we wanted and more.”

Fantastic amenities
At the Suite Dreams Inn by the Beach, there are only five homey suites, and only one has a private pool (the Deluxe Apartment). But you don’t have to worry if you can’t get that suite, as the hotel still boasts a lagoon-style dipping pool. Feel free to cool off or warm up there, depending on the weather. While we were there, we found the temperature to be just right, and the water was always sparkling clean.
We also adored the lush tropical gardens. There was nothing quite like enjoying a leisurely morning with a cup of coffee and a newspaper in one of the shady nooks or swinging gently in a hammock. We’re sure it’ll be your favorite spot for relaxation and conversation.
Also worth mentioning is the convenience of bike rentals. It allowed us to explore Key West at our own pace and save money on transportation. A win!

Pet-friendly
Need another reason to stay at the Suite Dreams Inn by the Beach? Well, it’s pet-friendly! Yep, we also brought our little friend along with us. However, there are a few things you should keep in mind. First off, the Sunset Suite on the second floor is off-limits to four-legged companions. So, if you have your heart set on that particular room, you might want to reconsider bringing your pet along. This wasn’t a problem, though, as our Deluxe Apartment was on the first floor.
Secondly, there’s a 30 USD nightly fee for each pet, which is something to factor into your budget. We recommend contacting the hotel directly to inquire about the specific types and sizes of pets they accommodate.

Private oasis
Speaking of suites, now let’s talk about ours! H2O Suites is one of the best hotels in Key West with private pools that offer one and two-bedroom suites. We opted for the one-bedroom suite, and it was even better in person than in pictures. The modern decor and stylish furnishings created an ambiance of pure relaxation. We loved curling up on the plush sofa in the living area, enjoying our favorite shows on one of the two 55-inch TVs. The wet bar was a fantastic addition as we were able to mix up refreshing cocktails.
Stepping out onto our private balcony was like stepping into paradise. The tropical courtyard views and gentle sea breezes were incredibly rejuvenating. And oh, that plunge pool! It was the ultimate indulgence to cool off in our private oasis. We always didn’t want to get out of the pool.
Honestly, we could have spent our entire vacation lounging in this suite. It had everything we wanted: comfort, style, and privacy. H2O Suites has definitely set the bar incredibly high for our future hotel stays.
