We can’t talk about cheap hotels near Duval Street Key West FL without mentioning the Blue Marlin Motel. First, let’s talk about its convenient location. This motel is just a short walk from Duval Street and all the action, but far enough away to enjoy a peaceful sleep. We loved being able to easily explore the island and soak up the local atmosphere.

We always loved clean and comfy rooms, and ours was just that. Apart from that, we were also pleasantly surprised to find such great amenities at such a reasonable price. The pool was a nice bonus, especially during the cooler months when it’s heated. One thing we appreciated was the free continental breakfast. We didn’t have to spend extra money for food, And while parking can be a challenge in Key West, the Blue Marlin Motel offers limited parking for a fee. We found that it was much easier to park our car and walk around once we were in town.

La Te Da

We were lucky enough to discover La Te Da during our recent trip to Key West. This charming, low-key hotel is nestled on a vibrant street just a short distance from the bustling Mallory Square. As soon as we arrived, we were immediately drawn to its relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. We were also impressed by our room. We chose the Deluxe King Room, which was airy. It was equipped with all the essentials and we especially loved the fact that it opened onto the courtyard pool area, providing a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

That’s not all! Every morning, we were greeted with a delicious continental breakfast. And when we were ready to venture out, the hotel’s trendy restaurant offered a variety of local delicacies to satisfy our cravings. In the evenings, we enjoyed the lively atmosphere of the piano bar and the captivating performances at the on-site cabaret. And when relaxation called, we could unwind on the rooftop sundeck.

Paradise Inn

Say hello to the Paradise Inn, a fantastic hotel near Duval Street, Key West. The conch-style architecture gave the inn a charming and tropical vibe, and its proximity to the Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum and Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory made it the perfect base for exploring the island. Now, let’s talk about our suite. It was simple yet elegant, with wood floors and a marble bathroom. Also, thanks to the free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TV, we were able to unwind as if we were home. Some suites also offer extra bedrooms, wraparound porches, or whirlpool tubs. But of course, they cost more.

The inn’s amenities were amazing as well. We spent many relaxing hours in the garden area, enjoying the pool and the serene lotus pond. The complimentary continental breakfast and evening wine were a nice addition, too. Another favorite of ours was the hot tub, which allowed us to warm up after exploring the island.

We truly enjoyed staying at The Guesthouses at Southernmost Beach Resort. This charming bed and breakfast in Key West is perfectly located, just a short walk from the Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum and South Beach. The resort’s cozy atmosphere and nautical-themed decor made us feel so comfortable. Every morning during our stay, we enjoyed a delicious continental breakfast buffet served on the porch. The fresh fruit, pastries, and coffee were to die for. We also loved to take a dip in the heated outdoor pool, which was so refreshing.

We booked the Avalon One King Room, and it was bright and airy. It had a super comfy bed and a flat-screen TV. Some rooms on the property even have direct access to a wraparound porch, offering a lovely outdoor space to relax. This place checks all the right boxes. The location, accommodations, and amenities are all top-notch.

Southwinds Motel

One of the things we loved about Southwinds Motel was the abundance of amenities. We took advantage of the three pools, enjoyed grilling some burgers on the BBQs, and even rented bikes to explore the island. The free continental breakfast was a nice touch, too.

We booked the Standard King Room and it was what we expected. It was bright and airy, with a furnished porch that was perfect for enjoying the warm Key West weather. We also loved having amenities like free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, and a kitchenette. Meanwhile, the other rooms with separate living rooms are ideal for families or groups.

Harborside Motel & Marina

This charming cottage-style bed and breakfast is perfectly located, just a short walk from the aquarium and the bustling Duval Street. What’s more, our room was cozy and comfortable, with traditional features like a ceiling fan and cable TV. We also loved having a shared deck, which made for a relaxing outdoor space to enjoy the warm Florida weather. While some rooms shared bathroom facilities, it wasn’t a major inconvenience for us.

The continental breakfast served in the informal dining area was a great way to start each day. We appreciated the variety of options and the friendly atmosphere. The Garden House also offered us a range of amenities, including a heated pool and bike rentals for exploring the island. We took advantage of the bike rentals to see more of Key West at our own pace.

Just a short walk from the bustling Duval Street, we were able to easily explore the island’s shops, restaurants, and attractions. And despite its location, we didn’t have to dig deep into our pockets to spend a night there. And that brings us to our King Room, which was bigger than we expected. We also loved the huge flower painting on the wall.

Moreover, we especially enjoyed the complimentary amenities, including the continental breakfast and happy hour drinks. The veranda and tropical courtyard with the outdoor pool and tiki-style bar were perfect spots to unwind. Plus, the bike rentals made it easy to get around and discover hidden gems on the island.

Seascape Tropical Inn

Our time at the Seascape Tropical Inn was nothing short of wonderful. Though it’s a cheap hotel in Key West, it doesn’t hold back when it comes to spiling its guests. This inn is a beautiful Bahamian mansion, and when we first arrived, we were instantly blown away by the charming tropical decor. Our King Room was even better. It offered us a lovely view of the city and some rooms even have a private patio. And after a good night’s sleep, we would start each day with a glass of mimosa.

The amenities at this inn were also top-notch. We spent a lot of time relaxing in the pool and sunbathing on the secluded sundecks. The tropical garden was a also peaceful oasis, and we loved exploring the area on the bikes that the inn rented out. Speaking of which, the location of this hotel is amazing. Set in the heart of Old Town, we were within easy reach of almost everything.

Old Town Manor

Best Value for Money. The Old Town Manor is another option that we highly recommend. For our stay, we booked the Queen William Room. Though not the biggest, we still enjoyed it a lot. It was tastefully decorated with a nautical theme and had all the amenities we needed, including a flat-screen TV, minifridge, and en suite bathroom. We loved having direct access to the wraparound porch, where we enjoyed relaxing and taking in the Key West vibes.

Furthermore, the continental breakfast buffet was delicious, with fresh pastries, fruit, and juice. We especially loved eating breakfast on the porch, soaking up the sunshine. The heated outdoor pool was another great perk, providing a refreshing way to cool off. One of the things we appreciated most about Old Town Manor was the friendly and helpful staff. They were always available to answer our questions and make recommendations for things to do in the area. And when we wanted to explore, we would take advantage of the bicycle rental service.
