You won’t believe the location of the Sky Ranch Lodge. When we first found out about this hotel, we were left speechless. Carved into the breathtaking Airport Mesa, this lodge was everything we ever wanted for our stay in Sedona. It’s as if it was sculpted from the very heart of the rust-toned mountainside.
Every corner offers a new perspective of the majestic mountain range. From the lodge, we were able to see the views of downtown and the surrounding desert. And the sunsets? Aside from the location, Sky Ranch Lodge also excels in the accommodation department. We were instantly captivated by the rustic charm and serene luxury that defines the lodge. Each of the 94 rooms is a haven of tranquility. Staying here, you can cozy up by a brick fireplace. Talk about the perfect way to enjoy Sedona’s breathtaking beauty!
Our home for the stay was the Cottage King room. This spacious retreat offered a perfect blend of comfort and independence. With its 500 sq ft of space, split patio, and fully equipped kitchen, it felt more like a small home than a hotel room. It was the ideal base for our Sedona adventure. And what we loved the most was the natural light pouring through the windows creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Another thing that made our stay at the Sky Ranch Lodge so special and enjoyable was its amenities. We loved the outdoor pool and jacuzzi. No other place on the property could top them when it comes to relaxation. Though it’s only open seasonally, it’s a highlight when it is. We loved soaking up the sun on the loungers that line the pool deck. It’s the ideal spot to recharge.
Speaking of winding down, we also appreciated the on-site bar. Nothing could beat having a glass of wine or two after a long day of exploration. The lodge’s wine bar is a cozy spot to enjoy a drink, but we also had a blast checking out the renovated 1970 Airstream.

We loved the peace of mind that came with Sky Ranch Lodge‘s 24-hour front desk. It was such a relief knowing we could always count on someone being there. Whether you’re returning late from exploring or need an early morning wake-up call, you can always count on them. During our stay, the staff was always friendly and helpful, with great recommendations for local spots to check out.
Also, let’s talk about the convenient complimentary shuttle! Being able to zip around within a 5-mile radius anytime between 2 PM and 10 PM was a total game-changer. Some of the places we visited include the Secret Slickrock Trailhead and Sunset Park. It made exploring the area so much easier and more convenient.

A pet-friendly place
Also, have we told you that the Sky Ranch Lodge also welcomed our little dog with open arms? It’s fantastic that we could bring along our four-legged family member. You can bring up to two of your pets. Our dog loved the welcome gift bags. The chew toys were amazing, and the keychains with baggies were so practical, too.
However, Sky Ranch Hotel Sedona Arizona has a few pet rules. First, you should always keep your pet leashed in outdoor areas and never leave them unattended. Also, for our stay, we had to pay a pet fee of 25 USD per pet, per day. Was it worth it, though? Definitely!
