Starting strong on our list with M Social Hotel Times Square New York. It’s located in the heart of the Theater District on Broadway Street. Broadway Theater literally just across the road, Neil Theater neighboring us, and other big theaters are just within walking distance. Beyond its perfect location, the hotel has the classic glam and sleek look to it, with a touch of mid-century modern aesthetics. Stepping into the lobby alone instantly made us feel like a sophisticated New Yorker.
Furthermore, the hotel’s hospitality and services match its attention to detail. The staff was always great from the moment we arrived, and after an electrifying day, we can always depend on them to help us relax. Not to mention, our room was the perfect haven amid the hustle and bustle of New York. The bed was extra comfy, we had all the necessary mod-cons, and our window looked out to Times Square. For convenience, the hotel has a fitness center, too. However, their restaurant, Beast & Butterflies, was another highlight of our stay. The food and service were amazing, and we got to sit on the outdoor terrace with Times Square as our view. The perfect cherry on top of our stay.

And nothing screams theatrical than the hotel’s rock and roll aesthetics. The hotel was like a museum of music. Aside from its modern interior design, most of its decor is memorabilia of famous musicians. Our trip to the Theater District couldn’t be more iconic than this.

Motto By Hilton New York City Times Square is a great hotel through and through. As part of the Hilton Hotel group, we weren’t worried about their hospitality and services. It was sublime from start to finish. The staff were excellent. Although, we did have to pay a few extra charges for internet, access to the fitness center, bike rents, and other necessities. But, the perfect location more than makes up for it. We were right in the heart of Midtown New York, with Broadway and the Theater District around the block.
That said, the Motto sports a fresher and more contemporary version of the usual Hilton Hotel. The decor choices definitely cater more to hip youngsters, with its compact interior and mid-century furnishing. Our room was also on the smaller side, but it was cozy and comfortable, with a great view of the city. For families, the hotel offers connecting rooms, so everyone can enjoy a night at Motto By Hilton New York City Times Square. Lastly, when we were not window shopping at 5th Ave, or cafe hopping around Times Square, the hotel’s bar made a great escape from the noise.

Best location. Romer Hell’s Kitchen is a hotel that celebrates the artistic nature of Hell’s Kitchen. Everything about the hotel is an homage to its neighborhood. From its eclectic and refreshing interior design to its corner shop with Hell’s Kitchen memorabilia. It’s the hotel that perfectly suits young Broadway enjoyers like us. Plus, the location put us conveniently close to many of the theaters, Carnegie Hall, and Radio City Music Hall, while not being directly in the middle of busy Time Squares.
Moreover, the level of hospitality here is beyond. Every day the staff would give us new recommendations of hidden gems of the city. CIVILIAN Hotel

Best interior design. Staying at the CIVILIAN Hotel was like having a glimpse of our lives as Broadway actors. The hotel is more than just a place for us to get back to after exploring New York, it’s also where the city’s creative minds and artists converge. From our guest room alone, it was apparent that this hotel is designed for thespians and guests who love a dramatic flair. While the room was a bit too compact for our taste, the velvet bed curtain and bold-colored walls added to the theatrical vibe of our stay. Everything was artfully designed, from the bathroom to the smallest details like golden-lined knobs, a functioning rotary phone, and other vintage knick-knacks.
Furthermore, housed in a building designed by the iconic David Rockwell, it’s no surprise that the rest of the hotel is as handsomely decorated. For starters, the lobby’s architecture is mostly exposed brick walls, giving us that authentic York living style. The four restaurants and bars were in our opinion the main stars of the hotel. Each one has different and unique decorations, with Broadway Blue, one of our faves, offering an experience of indulging crafted cocktails surrounded by hundreds of Broadway memorabilia.
Lastly, the Hell’s Kitchen location put us close to every iconic destination in NYC, and of course, the Theater District. On top of it, we wouldn’t have enjoyed our stay this much if it weren’t for the dedicated hotel staff. There’s a reason why a boutique hotel in NYC like the CIVILIAN Hotel has a 4-star rating and it wasn’t for its looks and location alone.

Beyond that, the hotel’s services and hospitality had us satisfied throughout our stay. Our room, for one, was good and spacious. While having a plush bed, Netflix, and a couch was great, the floor-to-ceiling window easily became the spotlight of our room. With a view like that, it’s not hard to be comfortable. Additionally, while the location allowed us to easily get breakfast, being offered free ones is always nice. Plus, we also had access to the hotel’s gym.
