We’re talking about the iconic Russ & Daughters, the beloved Clinton Street Baking Company, and the innovative Ivan Ramen. Having Rockwood Music Hall next door was an unexpected bonus for live music enthusiasts like us.

One of the hotel’s highlights is undoubtedly the guest-only rooftop pool – one of the most stylish we’ve encountered in Manhattan. We couldn’t help but admire the Andy Warhol filmstrip imagery adorning the pool’s floor. For wellness enthusiasts, the 24-hour fitness center and spa with sauna offer welcome respites from the city’s energy.

Our Queen Room, designed with evident care, was both thoughtful and luxurious. The Lee Friedlander-designed glowing headboards cast a warm ambiance throughout the space while floor-to-ceiling windows invited the city’s energy inside effortlessly. The in-room Nespresso machines and well-stocked minibars were also perfect for those moments when we needed a quick pick-me-up.

First of all, while centrally located, the hotel still maintains a peaceful atmosphere that’s particularly appealing after a busy day in the city. We noticed many business travelers during our stay, and it’s easy to see why they keep returning.

What truly sets Hotel Giraffe apart is their attention to guest comfort. We appreciated the complimentary continental breakfast served until 10 AM, and all-day access to coffee, refreshments, and healthy snacks in the lobby. A highlight of our stay was the open-air Rooftop Garden bar. Enjoying a drink accompanied by the city views was our favorite thing to do there.

For our stay, we decided to go with the Quadruple Room, which had two queen beds. It was surprisingly big, especially by New York standards. Our room featured elegant French doors opening onto a private Juliet balcony, offering a quintessential Park Avenue view.

For theater enthusiasts like us, the location couldn’t be more perfect. The hotel’s position provided us with ideal access to Broadway shows while offering a surprisingly serene escape from the neighborhood’s characteristic energy.

Our Premium Room came with two queen beds, and it was a peaceful sanctuary amid Manhattan’s constant energy. The hotel’s commitment to guest comfort was evident in their soundproofed windows, which effectively muted the Times Square cacophony below. The bathroom was a particular highlight, featuring generous proportions, natural light from well-placed windows, and plush bathrobes.

The second-floor Rick’s Café became our favorite retreat. Best Luxury. We’re not exaggerating – The Beekman truly left us utterly spellbound. The first thing that awed us was its massive lobby area with oriental rugs, distressed green walls, and plush pink velvet sofas. It was like walking into a grandeur 19th-century building. We immediately realized we were in for something really, really great.

Our Queen Room kind of reminded us of an English country house that had been transported to downtown Manhattan. We were glad we decided to spend our nights at the Cambria Hotel New York – Chelsea. This hotel managed to surprise us in every way possible. Nestled in the vibrant Chelsea Flower District, this contemporary hotel offers a perfect blend of style, comfort, and convenience. With easy access to the subway station and iconic landmarks like the Empire State Building, we were able to explore the city without breaking a sweat.

When we first found this hotel on the internet, we were interested in its modern and clean room photos. Lucky for us, our room was exactly like the pictures. We got the Queen Room with two queen beds, and it was even more spacious than we thought. We also had everything we needed, like a microwave and minifridge. There are so many things about the Westgate New York Grand Central that make us want to return. The hotel’s location is one of its strongest assets. We particularly appreciated being just an 8-minute stroll from Grand Central Terminal, which made navigating the city a breeze. The Empire State Building and The Museum of Modern Art are both within a mile’s reach, placing us right in the heart of Manhattan’s attractions.

We opted for the Luxe Two Queen Beds Room, and the attention to detail was immediately apparent. The modern-industrial design aesthetic created a sophisticated atmosphere that felt distinctly New York. Our favorite part, though, was the luxurious bathroom with its quartz counters and backlit LED mirrors.

In addition to that, the hotel’s amenities also struck us as practical and well-maintained. The lobby cafe provided us with a casual spot for quick bites and a sip of coffee. We also loved working out at the fitness center. While basic, it served its purpose, and more importantly, it was clean.

Best Location. Standing proudly next to its famous neighbor The Plaza, Park Lane New York feels like Manhattan’s best-kept secret. Waking up in Central Park South is nothing short of magical. Our morning walks through the park felt like scenes from a movie, complete with well-heeled locals walking designer dogs and the occasional celebrity sighting. The location allowed us to pretend, even only for a few days, that we were part of the ultra-exclusive Billionaire’s Row set!

Park Lane is one of the best hotels in New York City with two queen beds, and our decision to stay here paid off magnificently. The floor-to-ceiling windows invited the glow of Central Park right into our space. Meanwhile, modern elements like clean-lined bed frames, sleek stone tabletops, and striking photography kept the space from feeling too precious.

Our favorite spot, though, has to be Darling, the open-air rooftop bar that’s become a magnet for both savvy locals and travelers. Now, we want to share our experience staying at the Hampton Inn Manhattan Chelsea. The location really worked in our favor. Situated on a bustling street, we had tons of restaurants right at our doorstep. Getting around was a breeze – the 23rd Street subway station was just a 4-minute walk away, and we enjoyed a pleasant 7-minute stroll to Madison Square Park for some outdoor time.

We booked a Queen Room with two queen beds, which was comfortably appointed though not fancy. The room came with all the basics we needed: a flat-screen TV, reliable free Wi-Fi (always a plus!), a mini-fridge that kept our drinks cold, and a coffeemaker for our morning caffeine fix.

The complimentary hot breakfast buffet was a great way to start our days. It saved us both time and money in pricey Manhattan. Best Overall. When we arrived at the Refinery Hotel New York, it was like stepping into a carefully curated blend of past and present. While you might know this Midtown gem for its Instagram-famous rooftop bar (and yes, we’ll get to that), we discovered there’s so much more to this neo-Gothic treasure than its social media stardom. One of them was the lobby’s striking Gothic arches, a testament to the building’s rich history as a former hat factory and tea room.

Our studio room with two queen beds continued this industrial-meets-luxury theme beautifully. With soaring 12-foot ceilings and distressed oak floors underfoot, the space struck an impressive balance between historic charm and modern comfort. We particularly loved the clever nod to the building’s garment district roots – our desk was designed to look like a vintage 20th-century sewing machine.

While the Refinery Rooftop deserves its fame, we were equally drawn to Winnie’s, the hotel’s more intimate jazz lounge downstairs. It’s the perfect alternative for those evenings when you want to escape the rooftop’s buzzing crowd.
