Easy Access to Winter Park
So, what can you expect from The Vintage Hotel? We were drawn to it for our Colorado mountain vacation because of its prime location at the entrance to Winter Park Resort. This makes it a great choice for those seeking winter and summer activities.
But that’s not all! The hotel’s location is also a fantastic base for exploring the stunning natural beauty of the region. Rocky Mountain National Park is just a short drive away, offering breathtaking scenery, wildlife viewing opportunities, and challenging hikes.

Lovely Lofted Studio
While The Vintage Hotel offered us plenty of accommodation options, we ended up choosing the Lofted Studio. At 550 sq ft, it was super spacious and offered a unique layout that we really enjoyed.
Downstairs, a comfortable seating area with a sofa bed provided a relaxing spot for our dog to take naps (more on that later!). We appreciated having the extra space to spread out and relax. And, of course, the free Wi-Fi was a must-have for us. One of the first things we noticed was the well-equipped kitchenette. While we didn’t do any major cooking, it was perfect for preparing quick breakfasts and snacks, which saved us a bit on dining out.
The defining feature of the studio, of course, was the lofted bedroom area. A charming spiral staircase led up to this cozy space, which felt private and separate from the rest of the studio. It added a bit of character and made the space feel more like a mini apartment than a standard hotel room.

Easy Commute
One of the things that we enjoyed the most during our stay at The Vintage Hotel was its proximity to the Village Cabriolet. It’s a charming open-air lift that made our commute to the base Village both scenic and effortless.
We particularly appreciated the Cabriolet’s flexible operating schedule. During summer, guests can hop on Friday through Sunday until Labor Day, while winter visitors can enjoy daily service throughout the season until Winter Park’s closing. This complimentary transportation service is also invaluable for accessing the base Village’s diverse array of shops and restaurants.
The location truly shines for winter sports enthusiasts, as the gondola at the base Village provides seamless access to the slopes. For us, the ability to easily transition from hotel to shopping to skiing enhanced our overall experience significantly.

Plenty to Do
Staying at The Vintage Hotel really enhanced our ski trip. One of the things we appreciated most was the food. We enjoyed the hot buffet breakfast a lot, and it definitely motivated us to get up early and hit the slopes. And after a long day of skiing, it was so convenient to know that evening meals were also available in-house. It saved us the hassle of finding a restaurant after a tiring day.
Beyond the meals, the leisure facilities were a real highlight. The outdoor heated pool was a welcome treat, even in the colder weather, and the sauna and hot tub were perfect for soothing our tired muscles. One thing we didn’t expect was the in-house games arcade, which provided tons of fun entertainment.

Bring Your Pets
As we hinted earlier, The Vintage Hotel is pet-friendly! We stayed with our dog, and we were impressed with the hotel’s pet-friendly policy. Traveling with pets can often be stressful, but the hotel made it incredibly easy and welcoming for us. We were happy to find that it allowed dogs of any size, which was a huge plus for us since we have a larger breed. The fee structure was also very reasonable: 35 USD per stay and 50 USD for two dogs for the entire stay. It felt like a fair price to pay for the convenience and peace of mind.
While there isn’t a dedicated dog park, we appreciated the small grassy relief areas located both around the parking lot and within the village. It gave our pups plenty of opportunities to stretch their legs and take care of business during our stay.
“Having our dog with us transformed our amazing stay into a flawless one.”
