Las Brisas At Sunflower Beach Resort and Residences

Best Decor. Located near the shores of Port Aransas, the La Brisas at Sunflower Beach Resort and Residences is a vacation home like none other. It may not be quite the beachfront hotel that you’re looking for, but it sure does have the benefits that are on par with a hotel.
For starters, it’s only within walking distance to the beach, and it’s situated inside the Sunflower Beach Resort and Residences. That means when we stayed there, we had access to the resort’s multiple facilities. From an outdoor swimming pool, golf carts, grilling equipment, and various water sports facilities.
The vacation home itself is stunningly decorated, with Instagram-worthy decor in every corner. The combination of white walls and brightly colored furniture creates a vibrant ambiance, ideal for a beachside getaway. Additionally, the well-equipped kitchen includes an oven, double-door fridge, and dishwasher, making dining a breeze. When we weren’t at the beach or the pool, we cherished relaxing on our private veranda at La Brisas.
“We really just couldn’t get over how good this place looks! Trust us when we said our Instagram feed was filled with pictures of the La Brisas. The beach view background combined with aesthetically-pleasing modern decor makes the perfect spot for a selfie (or three).”

Best Western Port Aransas

The Best Western Port Aransas was another hotel near the beach that we had the opportunity to check out while in town. Ideally, we wanted a hotel right by the beach, but a 10-minute walk wasn’t so bad either. We just had to always make sure we put on some good sunscreen before going out. Plus, the hotel’s top-notch services more than make up for it. And the hotel’s climate-controlled made a perfect alternative to the beach. We could always take a dip at the pool, no matter the weather.
Our days at the Best Western Port Aransas would start with enjoying a tasty breakfast spread outside in the garden under the sunny sky. Then, if it isn’t the beach or pool, we would head out to check out the nearby attractions. Our favorite spot (other than the beach) was Shop At Port “A,” where we could check out local stores and restaurants. Fortunately, the hotel rents out golf carts that we could drive around the city center, so getting around was a breeze.
After a day filled with beach shenanigans and town adventures, we always look forward to coming back to the hotel and having a well-rested night. The hotel provided comfy guestrooms filled with amenities like cable TV and plush beds, so we slept like a baby.

Ocean Bound Ocean Sounds

Best Value For Money. The Ocean Bound Ocean Sounds was another home rental in Port Aransas that we stayed in. It may not be a hotel, but it does have direct access to Port Aransas Beach. Plus, it’s also much closer to Mustang Beach, where the marina is, giving us an opportunity to explore the island by boat.
As for the accommodation itself, we were provided with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a spacious living room. We stayed here with our family, and all six of us were perfectly comfortable with the space. Somehow, the kids were more excited to have the bunk beds than a fully equipped kitchen (maybe it’s an age thing). Other than that, there was also a private balcony where we would watch sunsets every day we were there. Furthermore, not only was the home rental packed with fantastic amenities, but we also had access to the outdoor pool on the compound. So, when you decide to stay here, make sure to pack up your best swimwear!
All in all, with our space and facilities, it’s quite a steal, especially with how budget-friendly Ocean Bound Ocean Sounds is.

Lost Colony #5

The Lost Colony is one of the best gated residences in Port Aransas, and most of the houses there are turned into home rentals. We got the chance to stay at the Lost Colony #5, which was located closest to the beach. So close, in fact, that we could even enjoy the beach view from the living room. Plus, other than having private access to the beach, we were also given access to the community pool.
Ideal location aside, the accommodation’s interior design was also one to write home about. Embellished with cool blue tones and beach-themed decor, we were fully immersed in vacation mode. Furthermore, what made our stay so enjoyable was how fully equipped the house was. Boasting five bedrooms and four bathrooms, a spacious kitchen, a living room, and a patio, we had no problem fitting 12 people into the house. The extra amenities, like a washing and drying machine and rocking chairs on the patio, really add to our comfort. Overall, when going on a vacation with a big party, a rental home like Lost Colony #5 is the type of accommodation we would go for any day.

Best Location. While there aren’t many beach hotels in Port Aransas, the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Port Aransas come close. It’s just a short walk from the beach, practically in the hotel’s backyard, making it a convenient choice for us.
Beyond its prime location, the hotel impresses with Holiday Inn’s signature level of service and hospitality. Upon arrival, the attentive staff promptly checked us in, assisted us with our luggage, and guided us to our suites. They also provided helpful recommendations for nearby activities like fishing and visiting Mustang Island State Park.
The hotel’s amenities matched its hospitality. We enjoyed a daily continental breakfast, ensuring we started our days well-fed before hitting the outdoor pool or heading straight to the beach. For fitness enthusiasts, there’s a convenient on-site fitness center, ensuring we don’t miss our workouts. Other noteworthy benefits the hotel has are free parking, vending machines, and an on-site laundromat. So, all in all, the hotel was beyond exemplary in giving us a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Best Overall. Our recent stay at BeachGate CondoSuites and Oceanfront Resort in Port Aransas was nothing short of spectacular. We were captivated by the stunning beachfront location from the moment we arrived. It’s undeniably one of the best beach hotels in Port Aransas, TX.
The biggest perk was the proximity to the beach – just steps away from our doorstep. Waking up to the soothing sounds of the waves and having the beach right there made our mornings truly magical. The resort’s ideal location also meant easy access to nearby attractions like Mustang Island State Park and local seafood restaurants. And when we wanted to relax on-site, the facilities were fantastic. The outdoor pool and hot tub provided hours of relaxation, and the well-maintained grounds were perfect for evening strolls.

Nestled on the Gulf of Mexico, Port Aransas, Texas, is an undiscovered treasure for travelers seeking sun, sand, and a lively coastal vibe. When we had our trip to this charming island town, we made sure to check out all of the best spots for the best beachfront hotel in Port Aransas.
We found that Port Aransas Beach takes center stage in the town’s tourism scene. Its vast expanse of white sands and crystal-clear waters makes it a haven for sunbathers, surfers, and beach lovers. We relished sandcastle building, kite-flying, and playing beach volleyball. Other than making the most of the sandy coast, we also often take a dip in the waters or take a serene walk by the shore.
Secondly, Port Aransas is also home to the Port Aransas Nature Preserve. In this 1,200-acre coastal wetland, we had an exciting adventure learning and looking out for wildlife and native plants. We saw migratory birds, alligators, local fauna, and more on our hiking trails.
Lastly, we can’t overlook Port Aransas Harbor. As avid fishing and boating enthusiasts, this spot stole our hearts. The harbor is lively, hosting the local fishing fleet and giving visitors a taste of aquatic adventures. We had the opportunity to charter a fishing trip and take a dolphin-watching cruise for an up-close encounter with the island’s sea creatures. The waterfront restaurants were a highlight, offering mouthwatering seafood paired with breathtaking sunset views.

Do You Have To Take A Ferry To Get To Port Aransas?
While we personally enjoyed a ferry ride to Port Aransas, it is not the only access point to the town. You can access Port Aransas through two primary routes: one from the island’s southern side via State Highway 361 and the other by taking the ferry from the northern side. So, it really depends on where you’re heading from.

You can drive on the beaches outside of the bollards; however, it’s important to note that a parking permit is required if you intend to bring a vehicle onto the beach. These permits can be obtained for a fee of $12 at several spots, one being the Port Aransas City Hall and a few convenience stores.
