The True Blue Bay Resort truly exudes classic Caribbean charm, featuring colorful rooms, lush outdoor spaces, and direct, stunning ocean views. Our comfortable suite offered simple, relaxing décor, a private bath, and key amenities like a seating area and kitchenette, perfect for enjoying the views from our private balcony.
The resort’s facilities also kept us entertained and well-fed. We loved the authentic island food at the main restaurant and the refreshing cocktails at the poolside Rum Shop. A major highlight for us was the House of Chocolate Bakery, which serves up everything from chocolate ice cream to milkshakes. For activities, we had options ranging from the yoga studio and spa to the on-site dive center for underwater excursions.
On top of that, we appreciate True Blue Bay’s Green Globe-certified commitment to the environment. They actively manage waste, use solar panels, and recycle water. This dedication is also reflected in their kitchen, as they grow fruits and vegetables on-site and organize regular beach clean-ups.

Jamaica Inn is a small, luxurious resort right on the glorious Jamaican coast. It’s a refreshing change from crowded resorts! The spacious suites emphasize indoor-outdoor living, connecting us with the beautiful environment. Our elegant room came with a private outdoor area, which was home to a veranda for al fresco dining.
The resort welcomed us with a complimentary drink and offered plenty of ways to relax and play. Besides the spectacular swimming pool, we enjoyed the wide range of watersports available. There’s also a spa, fitness center, and nearby tennis court, plus great options for excursions. You can choose a breakfast or all-inclusive meal plan, dine at on-site restaurants, or splurge on high tea served right on your veranda.
Beyond that, Jamaica Inn cares a lot about the planet. They’re a true eco-lodge, using renewable energy and recycling waste and greywater. Plus, they actively support conservation with a Turtle Program and Tree Planting, and their Jamaica Inn Foundation provides education to local youth. Amazing!

We recently visited Coulibri Ridge, a 14-suite luxury resort located on the island of Dominica. It’s so great at sustainable luxury that we think other resorts should follow. The 200-acre property is engineered to operate as its own self-sufficient small village, proving that high-end indulgence can perfectly align with environmental responsibility.
The resort’s success comes from its radical approach to resources. All the energy needed for the air-conditioned suites, the two restaurants, multiple heated pools, the spa, and conference rooms is generated entirely by on-site solar panels. We were amazed! Furthermore, all the water is sourced from filtered rainwater. Even the construction materials are local. The hurricane-resistant exterior was built by local teams using hand-chiseled rock taken directly from the property.
This level of dedication to self-sufficiency is more than just a feature. Coulibri Ridge’s robust, locally sourced construction served as a blueprint for other properties on Dominica that were forced to rebuild after the destruction caused by Hurricane Maria in 2017.

We recently visited Rosalie Bay Eco Resort & Spa on Dominica, known as the “Nature Island.” The resort is a fantastic example of sustainable luxury, nestled right where the lush rainforest meets the Atlantic Ocean. As one of the best eco resorts in the Caribbean, we noticed immediately that it prioritizes conservation and community engagement, making it feel like more than just a getaway.
Their effort is visible in everything from their organic farming practices to how they actively support local initiatives. It felt rewarding to know our trip was contributing to environmental conservation and helping local communities.
Our accommodation was excellent, especially since we scored an oceanfront room. Our room was built with locally sourced materials, helping them blend right into the environment. Best Dive Resort. On our last visit to St. Eustatius, a quiet Dutch Caribbean island, we stayed at the Golden Rock Dive and Nature Resort. This place covers 40 acres and is the island’s first eco-friendly resort. It’s ocean-fed, the size of a football field, and the largest of its kind in the Caribbean. We loved that we could take our courses right there!
The resort’s commitment to sustainability is nothing but serious. Our whole stay was powered by their massive solar park, featuring 2,240 panels that generate 0.8 megawatts daily. They store excess energy in batteries to power the resort and its fleet of electric vehicles overnight.
Golden Rock is equally smart about resource management, especially water. Reverse osmosis machines turn ocean saltwater into the clear drinking water we used all week. Plus, they treat all wastewater and use it to irrigate the property’s plants and grass. For us, this place is a must-visit if you want a world-class dive vacation without the environmental guilt.

All organic waste is composted, and used kitchen oil is converted by a local company called Green Fuel.
Their eco-efforts extend outside the resort, too. They organize monthly cleanups of the beach and nearby mangrove areas and sponsor major efforts like International Coastal Clean Up Day. On top of that, they actively re-green the property by planting thousands of new trees and plants.

The 19th-century estate features 17 unique colonial cottages, which are beautifully restored buildings. We loved that every cottage came with top amenities, including a private en-suite bathroom and kitchenette. The resort has great amenities, including three outdoor pools, a spa, and two restaurants. Our favorite part was the interactive cocoa plantation activities. The rum tastings, cocktail classes, and chocolate demonstration are a must! Meanwhile, dining is truly farm-to-table. The two restaurants use coffee, cocoa, and produce grown right on the estate for fresh, authentic meals.
Fond Doux’s commitment to sustainability truly impressed us. It’s a leader in responsible tourism, confirmed by a Green Globe certification. On top of that, the fact that it’s 100% locally owned and operated also provides direct support to the Saint Lucian economy. Best All-Inclusive. We really loved our all-inclusive stay at Sandos Caracol Nature Resort & Water Park! Everything we needed was right on-site, from nine restaurants to bars, meaning we truly didn’t have to leave the premises. Moreover, the accommodations are great for everyone, fitting 2 to 5 people, and they even offer family suites with toys. So, if you’re looking for luxury family resorts in the Caribbean, this can be a great choice.
The resort’s facilities are non-stop fun. We spent hours in the aquatic park and the two outdoor pools, plus there’s a spa and a fitness center. Nightlife is covered with evening shows and a game room, and there’s a private beach, tennis, and golf access. For adventure, the resort offers numerous excursions right from the property, including hiking, snorkeling, diving, and fishing. We were spoiled for choice!
What impressed us most, though, was their commitment to sustainability. Sandos Caracol actively monitors and reduces water and energy use, relying on solar panels and LED bulbs.
