Sunny House
11
Kicking off this list is Sunny House, the perfect place for those who want to stay at apartment-style accommodations. Just outside of the Old Town, this space allowed me to have a quiet and relaxing stay but still close to everything. After a good night’s sleep, I’d enjoy the breakfast provided for me. Honestly, I enjoyed it a lot. Then, I would take a dip in the outdoor swimming pool. It wasn’t the biggest but was well-maintained and clean.
All apartment units on the property are fitted with standard amenities. I’m talking about a flat-screen TV, safety box, dining area, well-equipped kitchen, toiletries, and many more. Also, guests can take advantage of the BBQ facilities and feast on the private balcony during warmer months. Better yet, pets are allowed without any additional charges! And thanks to the freebies like free parking and Wi-Fi, I’m not surprised if you decide to spend your nights here.

Only six minutes away from the beach is Moro Inn, a contemporary hotel that allows you to enjoy amazing amenities without breaking your wallet. There’s a lot to love about this hotel, but I think the rooftop bar is the highlight. When I was in the mood for a drink, I’ll go there and order myself my favorite drink. I’d then have a seat and enjoy the beautiful views surrounding the hotel from a bird’s eye view.
Though it’s out of the Old Town, you don’t have to worry about this inn’s location. Going to the airport will be hassle-free as Moro Inn provides an airport shuttle for its guests. Also, I once rented a bike from the inn as I wanted to explore the surrounding shops but was too lazy to walk. When it comes to the rooms, they’re airy and clean. You can also get some packages, like the Digital Nomads Package, where you’ll get free laundry once a week.

Guest House Holiday

Best Budget. Those searching for affordable accommodation should take a look at Guest House Holiday. This guest house doesn’t have fancy amenities, but it reminds you of the comfort of home. One of the things that we loved the most while I was there was the fact that I could reach the center of the town in less than five minutes. In addition, there’s a harbor across the guest house, and you can actually swim in there!
The rooms on the property are nothing short of beautiful. It was spacious enough for me, and I bought a lot of stuff. Also, the views from the window were to die for. There wasn’t a morning when I wouldn’t drink my tea while enjoying the views. Speaking of drinking, I was also welcomed by a welcome drink upon my arrival, which was so sweet of them.

Tara’s Lodge

Beachgoers will definitely want to stay at Tara’s Lodge. It’s a gorgeous beachside hotel that offers everything you need for a memorable stay. Of course, the highlight of this hotel is its location. Whenever the weather was just nice, I would soak up the sun and chillax under the umbrella. You can even admire the views of the beach from the terrace or your room. And to learn more about this lodge’s location and how to access it, you can check its official website!
From regular bedrooms to apartments, the property has plenty of accommodation options. In the end, I booked the King Room. Featuring views of the garden, this is one of the bigger rooms at the hotel. I loved spending my morning on the balcony sipping my coffee, and at night, I would enjoy the show on the flat-screen TV on my bed. But if you don’t mind spending more, you should give the suite a try!

Aminess Port 9 Resort

Best for Families. When it comes to family vacations in Korcula, nothing can hold a candle to Aminess Port 9 Resort. This is the perfect hotel for family trips. Though I didn’t come with my loved ones, I can testify that it’s a great option for them. For one, it’s loaded with world-class amenities. On-site, you’ll find a spa for rejuvenation, a children’s club, and four free-form swimming pools! Pretty amazing, isn’t it?
While the staff are young, they’re also extremely kind and professional. You can ask them to recommend you some great restaurants if you want. However, there’s no need for that as the hotel has two buffet restaurants. Matrikula and Madir both offer delectable dishes, and you can enjoy your food on the terrace. I did and it was one of the best decisions during my stay. Even better, all suites and rooms are nothing short of clean and spacious. Some even come with a private balcony.

Aminess Lume Hotel

Up next is Aminess Lume Hotel, a highly popular option for active travelers. This seafront hotel is literally only a short stroll away from the seaside promenade. During my time there, I’d spend my morning walking around the promenade. Also, because of its seaside location, there are plenty of water activities to enjoy. Though I didn’t join them, I saw many people jetskiing, snorkeling, and windsurfing. They seemed to have a lot of fun.
I am one of those travelers who love freebies. If you’re also one of them, you’ll be thrilled to know that both breakfast and parking are free. Also, I was surprised when I found out that the hotel also provided beach chairs. And while the rooms here aren’t big, they’re nothing short of cozy. Best of all, most of them come with a private balcony.

The Fabris

Best Boutique. If you’re looking for charming boutique accommodation, The Fabris is a nice choice. Unlike some of the best hotels in Korcula, Croatia, this inn occupies two old stone buildings. Don’t worry, though, as both have been renovated. The main one overlooks a tiny garden and allows its guests to enjoy the sea views. Across it is the other building. It’s an annex that houses 10 rooms. When staying here, I realized how convenient its location was. It took me nothing more than five minutes to reach the ferry landing station. There are plenty of cafes nearby as well, which are great for breakfast. However, I have to praise the hotel’s breakfast! It’s hearty and delicious!
This isn’t the fanciest hotel. I didn’t find any extra facilities. However, based on my experience, the staff members were very friendly and were more than happy to recommend the top local spots and activities. Furthermore, the rooms are extremely cozy. There are nine of them in the main building. Though not the biggest, they do offer stunning views of the street and the sea.

Lesic Dimitri Palace
4
Most Luxurious. There are plenty of luxurious hotels on Korcula Island, Croatia, but I think Lesic Dimitri Palace is the fanciest. First, this palatial hotel is set in Korčula Town, a historic pedestrian-only area. I spent two nights at this hotel, and it gave me one of the most peaceful stays ever! And don’t get us started with the amenities. When you need food, simply head to the on-site restaurant. With a terrace that offers views of the glorious sea, it’s the go-to place for dining. I also loved to spoil myself at the on-site LD Spa. With Ayurveda and Thai therapists, I felt a few years younger after the treatment!
The apartment-style accommodations on the property, called residences, are different in size and style. Depending on your needs, you can opt for the one or even three-bedroom residence. I spent my nights at the one-bedroom residence named Arabia. Set on the top floor, I was amazed by the open-plan design and the tented ceiling. The double bed was plush, and there was a freestanding tub as well. If you don’t mind spending more for a memorable and discrete vacation, this palace is the perfect hideaway.

Marko Polo Hotel

Another highly recommended hotel that I’m sure you’ll love is the Marko Polo Hotel. What’s the deal with its name? Well, as everyone can guess, this hotel is only a short distance away from the House of Marco Polo. This stone house is rumored to be where Marco Polo was born. However, the museum has been permanently closed. But you can still explore the building virtually by watching this YouTube video!
Aside from that, I also love the fact that this hotel is only steps away from the beaches. Of course, when I was there, I would explore the surrounding beaches, including Banje Beach and Beach Port 9. Not a fan of the sand? Don’t worry! This hotel also boasts an outdoor swimming pool, a chillax bar, as well as a modern fitness center. And when it comes to accommodations, I chose the seaside suite, which is one of the bigger options that overlooks the sea!

Hotel Korsal

If you want to have a memorable stay at a chic hotel near the Old Town, I recommend checking out Hotel Korsal. This hotel is the perfect example of what a nice four-star hotel should be. It took me not more than a minute or two to reach the iconic Old Town. Plus, the pebble beaches are mere steps away from the hotel. However, my favorite thing to do here was to enjoy my hearty breakfast every morning on the terrace, where the views of the promenade would accompany me.
Another important note: the hotel’s surrounding area is a car-free zone. Yes, this means the air is fresher and you can walk without having to check out what’s coming from the other side. While there were so many rooms to choose from, I ended up going with one of the suites. The room was properly soundproofed, so I always had a good night’s sleep. Plus, the addition of the private balcony made my whole stay a lot more enjoyable.

Aminess Liburna Hotel

Best Overall. Sitting on top of this list is the Aminess Liburna Hotel, a waterside hotel that somehow manages to tick all the right boxes. First, let’s talk about its location. It only took me around 10 minutes to reach Korčula Old Town from the hotel, which was impressive. And even if you’re not in the mood to venture out, you can enjoy the views of the Old Town from the comfort of your room.
“Among all of the hotels in Korcula, I think I like this one the most. I was able to reach the Old Town on foot, and my room was exceptioanlly clean. The staff members were very helpful, too.”
WOW Travel
Speaking of which, there are more than 100 spacious rooms and suites on the property. I was impressed that even the standard rooms were big enough for most travelers. But the best part of this hotel is that most rooms offer beautiful sea views. I was lucky enough to be able to spend my nights at the suite. With a balcony, it was the perfect room for me. But make sure not to stay inside your room for too long! Don’t forget also to enjoy the outdoor pool and bars.
