Another highly recommended hotel in Trogir is Hotel Vila Sikaa. What makes this hotel unique is the fact that it’s set in a building that UNESCO protects. This is a nice choice for history buffs. It took me only a short stroll to reach Trogir’s historical center, where you can learn more about the city’s past. In addition to that, I love that the hotel is set across the harbor. I always found myself admiring the clear water from my room whenever I had the chance.
All of the rooms on the property are soundproofed and air-conditioned, offering you a good night’s sleep. I chose to stay at the Double Room, which was well-equipped and exceptionally clean. If you want to pamper yourself, you can upgrade your room and take a dip in the whirlpool tub. But don’t spend the whole day napping and watching the TV! This hotel boasts a bar where you can meet new people and sip a refreshing drink.

Hotel Monika

Surrounded by enchanting narrow streets, Hotel Monika is a cozy hotel that has a lot to offer. First of all, staying here means the cathedral and beaches are only a short walk away. In addition to that, I had a lot of fun visiting the shops and cafes near the hotel during my free time. Though there were restaurants nearby, I decided to try the hotel’s restaurant instead. I think I made the right choice, as the menus were simply delicious. It was super crowded in the morning as guests all went there to enjoy their breakfast.
The rooms at this hotel are extremely spacious and equipped with standard amenities. Since I stayed at the Junior Suite, I was able to relax on a plush sofa while watching the TV at night. Though not the biggest, the bathroom was exceptionally clean. Plus, there was a bathtub, too. But if you’re coming with your loved ones, you can consider booking the Family Suite instead.

Villa Carrara

Set in the heart of Trogir is Villa Carrara, an affordable family-run hotel in Trogir that’s extremely homey. Unlike some fancy hotels in the city, Villa Carrara doesn’t feature tons of first-rate facilities. But with a favorable location, it still manages to keep guests busy and entertained. From the hotel, I was able to walk to the marina and church and explore the narrow streets easily. Not to mention, Trogir’s Green Market is less than five minutes away on foot. From fruits to honey, I was happy I got to visit the popular market.
From Double Rooms to Family Suites, the accommodations here are comfortable and spacious. All of them are air-conditioned, and some have stone walls, which make them even more charming. It’ll feel like you’re staying at a hotel from centuries ago. For the best experience, I recommend staying in the Double Room that comes with a private balcony.

Villa Katarina

I also highly recommend checking out Villa Katarina, which is close to the beach. Copacabana Beach and Put Tatinje Beach are only a short walk away, a huge plus for beachgoers. However, the highlight of this hotel, at least for me, has to be its outdoor swimming pool. Not all hotels in the city come with one, so I really appreciate the one provided by this hotel. It’s not the biggest, but I was able to have a relaxing dip after a day full of walking.
Another thing I like about this hotel is that all rooms have a private balcony. They’re nothing short of spacious, and you can enjoy the mesmerizing views of the surroundings from your room. After a good night’s sleep, you must try out the hotel’s breakfast. Everything was yummy, and I was able to go about my day with a full stomach.

Domus Maritima

This list won’t be the same without Domus Maritima. This hotel is set in a historic manor, which used to be a villa. With views of the sea and only minutes away from the beach and the Old Town, you shouldn’t be surprised to find that this hotel is popular. One of the highlights of this hotel is its sculpture garden, which is shaded by palm trees. It’s also where I loved to relax and enjoy my coffee, which I ordered from the on-site cafe.
Also, I was surprised by the luxurious room. They surely exceeded my expectations. The rooms at this hotel are roomy and fitted with modern amenities. Some even come with a private balcony, from which you can feel the morning breeze and enjoy the sea views. I enjoyed my time here, and I’m sure you will, too!

XII Century Heritage Hotel

Best Historic. History buffs will certainly have a blast staying at XII Century Heritage Hotel. As the name suggests, this hotel is set in a 12-th century building. I found this hotel extra charming thanks to its original charm being retained. Not to mention, its location allows me to be near some of Trogir’s top attractions, including the Cathedral of St. Lawrence. One of the most iconic monuments in Trogir; it took me less than five minutes to reach the cathedral.
If you want to spend the whole day exploring the city of Trogir, you can consider renting the hotel’s bike or car. But for dining, I recommend trying the food at the on-site restaurant. The Mediterranean cuisines there are to die for. Also, each guestroom at the hotel is nothing short of comfortable. I stayed at the Junior Suite, and I was able to enjoy the views of the sea whenever I wanted to. And for extra comfort, I was provided with bathrobes and slippers.

Hotel Rotondo

Only a short walk away from the harbor is Hotel Rotondo, one of my favorite accommodations in Trogir. The location of this hotel is truly hard to beat. Since it’s set on a min street, I was able to easily explore the shops and cafes in the hotel’s vicinity. There was also a pebbled beach nearby, and it took me just around 10 minutes to get there. If you want to swim but are too lazy to walk to the beach, you’re in luck, as the hotel boasts an indoor swimming pool.
This hotel also provides its guests with plenty of freebies. I was able to park my vehicle for free, and each morning I was treated to a hearty, complimentary breakfast. And after exploring Trogir, I would return to the hotel and calm my body in the sauna. But if you’re a gym rat, feel free to work up a sweat in the fitness center instead. The rooms here are clean and spacious, but my favorite is Annex Double Room.

Hotel Bellevue Trogir

Most Popular. When it comes to popularity, I think Hotel Bellevue Trogir takes the cake. There’s a reason why many of my colleagues recommended me this hotel. For one, it’s not pricey. Despite that, the amenities it offers are nothing short of fantastic. There are two furnished terraces, which were my favorite spots when I was there. I’d enjoy my tea there in the morning and admire the gorgeous city views. The restaurant is great, too. Set on the top floor, it offers panoramic views of the city and delectable food. I particularly loved how fresh the fruits were.

Though not the fanciest, the rooms at this hotel are nothing short of comfortable. All of them feature the must-haves. But depending on which room you choose, you may find a private balcony. I stayed at the Double Room during my trip, which was more than enough for me. But if you’re coming with your loved ones, you can consider booking the one-bedroom apartment with a private kitchen.

Most Luxurious. It’s okay to enjoy the finer things in life. And if you’re feeling extra fancy, nothing will be able to beat Hotel Brown Beach House & Spa. This is arguably the most luxurious hotel in the city, with plenty of amenities to spoil you. For one, this pet-friendly accommodation features a state-of-the-art fitness center with modern equipment. If massages are what you’re after, make sure to spend your spare time in the spa center and let the masseurs do their magic. In addition to that, there’s also a sauna for those who want to detox. My favorite, however, is the two outdoor pools. They were bigger than I imagined, and with a poolside bar, I was able to sip my favorite cocktail after a dip.
Also, the room options here are endless. From Double Rooms to Suites, every room is spacious, cozy, and fitted with modern amenities. Since I wanted to go all out, I chose the Presidential Suite. With plenty of space and luxurious decorations, I felt like royalty! If you don’t mind splurging, you should stay here, too. It comes with a huge bedroom, a comfy living area, a modern kitchen, as well as a dining area for families.

Best Value for Money. During our trip to Trogir, we had some of our best times at Hotel Vila Tina. This hotel sure knows how to pamper its guests. For one, those who arrive on motorcycles can park their bikes for free in the garage. That’s not the only freebies, as breakfast is complimentary, too. But what surprised me the most were the sauna and hot tub, which allowed me to rejuvenate and destress. I loved taking a dip in the hot tub and admiring the sparkling views of the sea.
While there are restaurants near the hotel, you don’t have to venture out for food as the hotel also boasts a traditional restaurant with lip-smacking menus. After filling my tummy, I would enjoy a refreshing drink and enjoy it on the terrace. After ticking all of my to-do lists, I’d return to my room, the Superior Double Room with a terrace. Personally, I think it’s the best room on the property. You can access the huge terrace through the sliding glass door. Better yet, the terrace is fitted with chairs and tables, allowing you to relax and take in the views.

Best Overall. Sitting on top of this list is Bifora Heritage Hotel, one of the best hotels in Trogir, Croatia. This hotel truly has everything a traveler needs. First, let’s talk about its location! This charming hotel is only a stone’s throw away from Trogir Old Town. One of Trogir’s most iconic landmarks, it’s where you’ll be surrounded by historic buildings with plenty of tales to tell. When I was there, I also found plenty of restaurants and bars. And I loved how the narrow streets made me feel somehow relaxed.
If you’re too tired to explore the Old Town, you can enjoy the views of it from the hotel’s bar. Yep, the bar boasts a terrace that offers not only views of the Old Town but also the marina. When it comes to the guestroom, all of them are equipped with standard amenities. I decided to book the Junior Suite, which is a loft room. In the lower area, there’s a plush blue sofa where I could chillax and watch TV. The bed was up there, and it was extremely cozy. I truly had a blast.

As I said earlier, though, Bifora Heritage Hotel is the best overall option, as it has everything travelers need. It’s conveniently set in Old Town, the rooms are comfy, and the service is amazing. Where to Stay in Trogir, Croatia
The best area in Trogir is none other than its historic center, which is Old Town. It’s where I often lost myself. The narrow streets are like a labyrinth; here, you’ll find plenty of historic buildings. This area also has museums, cafes, and shops, which are all worth exploring. Even some of the top hotels and things to do in Trogir involves the Old Town.
Aside from the Old Town, you may also want to check out Seget Donji. It’s a small village only a short drive away from the Old Town. This is a renowned beach destination, with plenty of beaches in the area. And over the bridge from Old Town, you’ll find yourself in a more quiet area. Only a short away from the town, there are plenty of hotels for those who want a more private stay.
If you want to extend your trip, why not spend a few days in Split? It’s only a 30-minute drive away from Trogir, and the best hotels in Split are waiting for you. Also, Hvar isn’t too far away either. Known for its sandy beaches and nightlife, it’s two hours away from Trogir. And for accommodations, the best hotels in Hvar are ready to welcome you.
Is it better to stay in Trogir or Split?
It depends. If you’re someone who prefers a peaceful and chill vacation, then you should visit Trogir. But if you’re seeking fun, you’ll want to stay in Split.
How long should you stay in Trogir?
I think spending around three to four days in Trogir will be enough. You’ll have enough time to explore all the must-see and must-do.
Do you need a car in Trogir?
Again, it depends on what you plan to do. Trogir is a small coastal town, and I don’t think renting a car is necessary. But if you want to visit Split or other neighboring attractions, then you may want to rent a car.
