The Lexington Hotel

We’re glad we had the chance to spend a night at The Lexington Hotel, one of the best Marriott hotels NYC has to offer. This historic gem, dating back to 1929, boasts a stunning 2-story marble lobby that instantly transported us back to a bygone era. We loved the classic charm mixed with modern amenities. We enjoyed a relaxing evening at the 1920s-inspired cocktail bar during our stay, sipping on delicious drinks and soaking up the ambiance. And when we needed our caffeine fix, the on-site Starbucks was our go-to. There’s a well-equipped fitness center, too.
Our one-bedroom suite was a delightful surprise. It looked exactly like the pictures. The warm colors and ornate marble bathroom created a luxurious atmosphere. We also got our living area and balcony. Finally, let’s appreciate the hotel’s location. We were just a short walk from the high-end shops on Fifth Avenue and a quick cab ride to the iconic Empire State Building. The neighborhood felt safe and vibrant, with plenty of dining and entertainment options nearby.

Best Luxury. If you’re into luxurious Marriott hotels in NYC, take a look at The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park. The hotel’s 2019 refresh has breathed new life into a Midtown Manhattan stalwart without sacrificing its timeless elegance. Of course, no stay at the Ritz would be complete without mentioning the views, which you can enjoy from the comfort of your room. Speaking of which, our was equipped with stylish furniture. Our suite also had a cozy living area.
While the hotel’s food offerings have been revamped, the focus is more on casual elegance than culinary showstoppers. Contour, the hotel’s main restaurant, serves up solid small plates, perfect for a pre-theater bite. But it’s the bar scene that truly shines. The cocktail menu is inventive and impressive, with creative twists on classics and some truly unique concoctions. We were particularly impressed by the hotel’s wellness facilities. The gym was a state-of-the-art space with everything we needed to stay fit, including virtual running experiences and on-demand fitness classes. And the La Prairie spa was our go-to place to unwind.
