Moab, Utah, is one unique destination. If you’re unaware, the city is famed for its breathtaking red rock landscapes that you’ll never find anywhere else. We also love visiting Moab as it offers us tons of different outdoor activities, from hiking and biking to rock climbing and whitewater rafting. Not to mention, it’s home to two of the most popular national parks in the country. But what made some of our previous trips to Moab equally exciting was the boutique hotels in Moab, Utah. While the city isn’t overflowing with boutique hotels, it does have unique and stylish accommodations that capture the essence of a boutique hotel experience. We love how these accommodations provided us with intimate and stylish rooms as well as thoughtful amenities. No matter how discerning you are, we’re sure they’ll impress you.

SpringHill Suites
11
The first boutique hotel on this list is the SpringHill Suites. What makes it stand out is its complimentary amenities, which took care of us really well. Parking was a breeze, and the breakfast buffet each morning was delicious. We also loved the airy dining area, comfy lounge seating, and a great place to chat with fellow travelers. We also spent plenty of time playing in the outdoor pool and taking a dip in the hot tub. Want to stay active? Head to the gym and on-site basketball court! And let’s not forget the convenient 24-hour convenience store.
The best part about the hotel is definitely the spacious suites. We stayed at the one-bedroom suite and truly enjoyed relaxing there. Not to mention, every room on the property comes with a mini fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker. Some lucky guests can also enjoy their morning on the balcony with views of the Colorado River. Amazing!

Moab Rustic Inn

Another great addition to this list is the Moab Rustic Inn. The best part about our stay here was the extra space! Our suite came with a minifridge, microwave, and cable TV. We truly had everything we needed and more. If you’re looking for a little more cooking capability, the hotel apparently has upgraded suites with coffeemakers, dishes, and work desks. There are even apartments with separate living areas, pull-out sofas, and dining tables for families or groups.
The amenities were a nice bonus, too. We enjoyed cooling off in the heated outdoor pool, especially after hours of being under the bright Moab sun. The hotel also has a BBQ area, picnic cabana, and laundry facilities, which were handy as we could grill up some dinner and refresh our clothes for the next adventure.

We were glad we decided to spend a few nights at The Gonzo Inn. The building is a cool mix of modern design and southwestern style. It’s conveniently located just 6 miles from Arches National Park and 3 miles from Sand Flats Recreation Area, making it the perfect choice for exploring Moab’s natural beauty. We were surprised to find out the hotel also offered free parking and bike storage, which came in handy for our explorations.
We didn’t cook any meals during our trip, as the hotel had us covered. It offered a daily a la carte breakfast, and Cafe Italiano was on-site. As you can guess from the name, it serves delicious Italian food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Moreover, our room was bright and eclectic, with a patio that gave us a nice spot to relax. For those needing more space, there are suites with wet bars, sitting areas with pull-out sofas, and some even have separate living rooms, fireplaces, and whirlpool tubs.

Nestled against a backdrop of fiery red cliffs, the Red Cliffs Lodge is more than just a place with a pretty view – it’s an adventure hub! During our time there, we were never short of things to do. We spent our days honing our volleys on the tennis courts, braving the rapids on a white-water rafting trip, and taking refreshing dips in the pool. We explored the fascinating Wild West exhibits at the Museum of Film and Western Heritage for a taste of history. And if all that activity left us yearning for peace, there were guided yoga and meditation classes to help us find our inner zen.
The accommodations themselves were great. From spacious suites and cozy cabins, no matter which you pick, you’re guaranteed a charming space that pays tribute to the region’s rich heritage. Picture plush furniture, crackling fireplaces, and breathtaking views from your windows. Our King Suite was flawless. It had a private patio right next to the river and a kitchenette.

Best for Adventurers. You can’t talk about the top boutique hotels in Moab, Utah, without mentioning Field Station Moab. What we loved the most about this hotel was its adventure vibe. We would fill our stomachs each morning with the hotel’s hearty breakfast. It offered classic American as well as vegan options, so there was something for everyone in our group. Being a thoughtful hotel, Field Station also has an on-site store where you can find a mountain bike, backpack, and anything else that you’ll need for your trail adventure. And when we weren’t exploring the national parks, we would have fun playing table tennis in the hotel’s game room or unwinding on the sun terrace.
Throughout our stay, we spent our nights in the King Room, which was spacious and clean. Thanks to the air-conditioner, we were saved from the Moab heat. While each room here is comfy, don’t stay inside the whole day! Make sure to also relax by the pool or make a splash. We made sure to take a dip in the hot tub every day to soothe our tired bodies.

Our stay at Sorrel River Ranch Resort and Spa was delightful. While the highlight of this hotel is its breathtaking scenery, it also has so much to offer in terms of amenities. For one, the dining options are fantastic. We savored fresh, farm-to-table cuisine at the grill, where the food was as delicious as the riverside setting. Meanwhile, the eclectic cafe and fireside cocktail bar were great for grabbing a casual bite or enjoying a relaxing drink.
Beyond that, we also indulged in some pampering at the spa, enjoyed horseback riding adventures at the equestrian center, and took refreshing dips in the outdoor pool and hot tub. For active travelers, there’s a gym, tennis courts, and hiking trails to explore. For accommodation, we opted for the rustic-chic cabin suite. The wood floors and handcrafted pine furniture gave it a cozy, authentic ranch feel.

Best for Families. Up next is the Hoodoo Moab Curio Collection by Hilton. What we loved so much about this hotel was its amenities. We loved taking dips in the outdoor pool, and the sleek steakhouse/bar on-site allowed us to grab a delicious meal without having to go far. The hotel even has a spa offering a variety of treatments, from massages to facials. Of course, there’s more. You can also use the fitness center to stay active on vacation, and there’s even a kids’ play area to keep the little ones entertained.
Now, let’s talk about our room. It had everything we needed to relax and unwind. Plus, having a microwave and minifridge in the room was a huge bonus for keeping snacks and drinks on hand. We were tempted to upgrade to a suite for a separate living area and balcony, but our room was plenty spacious for our needs. And who knows, maybe next time we’ll splurge for the room service, available around the clock.

Located just off US Highway 191, Moab Springs Ranch offers travelers a peaceful escape while still being conveniently close to Moab’s must-see. For instance, the Arches National Park is only a short 3.9-mile drive away. Aside from the location, the property is also beautiful. We loved exploring the 18-acre site with its spring-fed gardens, picnic tables by a pond, and a gas BBQ and fire pit that was great for gatherings under the stars. The highlight, though, was definitely the sparkling outdoor pool. It was a refreshing way for us to chill.
Our one-bedroom bungalow was flawless. It was warm and spacious, with a full kitchen and a living area that made us feel right at home. We loved having a patio with a table and chairs where we could enjoy our morning coffee and soak in the views. The bungalow also came with Wi-Fi, which was a big plus for us. Another free perk? Guests can park their vehicles for free.

The Aarchway Inn is a great choice for a relaxed stay near the entrance of Arches National Park. For adventurers like us, the location of this hotel was hard to beat. It was just a 3-mile drive from the Arches Visitor Center, which made it super convenient for early mornings exploring the park. Dead Horse Point State Park was a bit further (about 28 miles), but still doable for a day trip. But you don’t have to leave the property to have fun. One of the things we enjoyed most about the hotel was the outdoor space. It had a pool and a basketball court, which was great for burning off some extra energy after a long car ride.
As one of the best boutique hotels in Moab, UT, it also offered BBQ grills and a picnic area, which allowed us to have a casual dinner under the stars. Plus, there was a cafe on-site to grab a quick coffee or snack and even a 24-hour fitness room to have a quick workout. Moreover, there are 97 rooms on-site. The room itself had a nice Southwestern vibe and came with all the essentials. We were happy with the standard room, but the suites with whirlpool tubs are worth considering for longer stays or those who want more space. Another perk? Have we mentioned the free breakfast?

Best Luxury. For travelers who prioritize a luxurious experience, the Sage Creek Resort is the place to be. One of the highlights of this resort is none other than its gorgeous outdoor pool. After hiking in Arches National Park, the first and only thing we wanted to do was soak in the gorgeous pool and hot tub. The red rock waterfalls made our experience even more memorable. Still have tons of energy? Downtown Moab is only minutes away!
“With a beautiful swimming pool and the red rock landscapes as our background, every moment we had at the hotel was picture-perfect.”
WOW Travel
Here, you’ll find comfy and spacious condo-style units. Ours was huge and provided ample space for our group. There was also a kitchen, which was a huge plus so we could cook whatever we wanted. We also loved the resort’s dimmed lighting, specifically designed for stargazing. We enjoyed lounging by the fire pit at night, completely mesmerized by the blanket of stars above.
