Located right in Yeouido’s financial district and just a quick stroll from the subway, it couldn’t be more convenient for meetings across the city. We loved waking up to panoramic views of the Han River from our spacious suite, complete with a plush sofa, Nespresso machine, and a bathroom that honestly felt more like a private spa. Think rainforest shower, standalone tub, and heavenly aromatherapy products.

What stood out to us, though, was how seamlessly work and relaxation blended here. Between meetings, we managed to sneak in some laps at the indoor pool and even squeezed in a mini putting session on the rooftop garden. Their event facilities were just as impressive. Expect massive, modern, and fully equipped spaces with everything you need, including top-tier catering and dedicated staff who actually know what they’re doing.

Staying at GLAD Mapo turned out to be one of the smartest decisions we made on our recent business trip to Seoul. The location is seriously hard to beat. The soundproofing helped us unwind after back-to-back meetings, and we appreciated small comforts like the fridge and electric kettle. We also made good use of the free-for-guests gym to keep up our routine, and you can access the indoor pool for a fee as well.

The hotel also has a sleek little meeting room setup, which came in handy when we needed a quiet space to prep presentations. Inside, the hotel had a modern, playful vibe. Designed by Guido Ciompi, our Deluxe King Room mixed bold pink walls with sleek black-and-white furniture and quirky details like sculptural lamps. It was stylish without trying too hard. After a good night’s sleep, we loved grabbing a fresh pastry at Eric Kayser in the morning, indulging in Mediterranean dishes at Seven Square, and capping off the night with cocktails at The Lounge.

For business, THE PLAZA also delivered. Whether it was a small meeting or a larger gathering, the spaces felt open, bright, and modern. The Grand Ballroom is perfect for bigger events, and the smaller rooms are just right for presentations or team sessions. Best Location. The Nine Tree Premier Hotel Myeongdong II has to be one of the most convenient business hotels in the city. Tucked right in the heart of Myeongdong, we found ourselves just a short walk from Euljiro 1-ga Station. That meant we could easily hop on the subway and be in Gangnam or Yeouido in no time, which was much needed as we had to juggle meetings across different parts of the city.

For our stay, we got the Hollywood Double Room. It was sleek, spotless, and thoughtfully designed for business travelers like us. Fast Wi-Fi, a proper work desk, and seriously comfortable bedding made a big difference. We appreciated having a peaceful, well-equipped space to catch up on emails or unwind. And when we wanted a break, we were just steps away from Myeongdong’s buzzing street food, shops, and cafés.

One feature we didn’t expect but were glad to find was the meeting room on the second floor. It’s a nice bonus if you need to host a small group or do a team huddle, and the space can accommodate different group sizes.

Westin Josun Seoul Hotel

If you’re a history buff, you’ll love staying at the Westin Josun Seoul Hotel. This hotel offers history with all the comforts of modern business travel. Right by Seoul City Hall, the location was ideal, but what stood out to us was the hotel’s deep heritage. Built on the grounds of the former Hwangudan altar complex from the Chosun Dynasty, the property still holds a shrine from that era.

Work-wise, everything ran smoothly. We used the Rose meeting room for a brainstorming session. It was bright, quiet, and well-equipped. For larger conferences, you can take advantage of one of the banquet facilities on the first and second floors.

After meetings, we explored the hotel’s dining options, and they did not disappoint. The Ninth Gate Grill served up a solid dinner with a view of the Hwangudan. For casual bites, Vecchia e Nuovo became our go-to spot for coffee and pastries. And the Circle Bar was a great surprise. The live jazz and single malt made for a relaxing evening, we didn’t expect but thoroughly enjoyed. The real highlight, though, was the City Athletic Club’s sauna. Recently renovated, it had everything from a thermal rock wet sauna to a peaceful sleeping room.

Best Modern. When our business trip took us to Seoul, we wanted a hotel that balanced comfort with efficiency, and Signiel Seoul checked all the right boxes. Perched high between the 76th and 101st floors of the Lotte World Tower, the hotel offered sweeping city views that instantly impressed. Being directly connected to Jamsil Station made getting around stress-free, and despite our packed schedule, the setting made everything feel a little more elevated (literally and figuratively).

Our room was spacious and well-equipped, with thoughtful amenities like a Nespresso machine, an electronic bidet, and designer toiletries. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, perfect for Zoom calls and catching up on work. After hours of meeting, unwinding at the Evian Spa on the 86th floor was a must for us.

During our stay, we attended an event at their sky-high venue on the 76th floor, and it was easily one of the most stunning business settings we’ve seen. In fact, it’s claimed to be the world’s highest. The full HD screen, natural light, and panoramic views gave the entire experience a polished, high-end feel.

Best 5-Star. No matter where we go, we’re always pleased with the JW Marriott, and the same goes for the JW Marriott Hotel Seoul. Let’s talk about its location. This 5-star hotel is right next to Shinsegae department store, the express bus terminal, and Famille Station. Walking through rows of luxury shops before stepping into the hotel set a polished tone. The lobby leans a bit old-school with marble pillars and high ceilings, but it works, as it feels intentionally grand rather than outdated.

During the week, the place hums with business travelers like us, while weekends bring in locals heading to The Cafe’s all-day dining or JW’s Grill for their popular steak and seafood. We chose one of the suites, and it was exactly like the pictures. And with 9 restaurants, cafes, and bars on-site, we were always busy.
