Acorn Alley is one of the most amazing cabins to stay in Yosemite National Park, especially if you’re only traveling with your loved one. It features one bedroom with a king-sized bed, and there are extra memory foam mattresses as well as a pull-out sofa if you need them. But we were also impressed by the location. Even though we were nestled away in nature, it was convenient to have Oakhurst and Bass Lake just a short drive away for additional options for dining and exploring.
Speaking of which, the hot tub outside is also equally impressive. We’re sure you’ll want to take a dip after hiking. Stargazing in the hot tub at night was an unforgettable experience for us. Additionally, we also liked to unwind on the front porch with a glass of wine. It was the ideal opportunity to reconnect with one another. For those who can’t completely disconnect, there’s Wi-Fi and a smart TV to catch up on shows.

The Owl Moon Cabin is one of the best rentals inside Yosemite National Park for families. There were five of us and the cabin was ideal for our group. The two bedrooms upstairs were a great size, and the pull-out sofa downstairs was surprisingly comfy. One of the highlights for us was coming back after exploring the park and cooking up a feast in the well-stocked kitchen. Then we’d head out to the deck and watch the sunset paint the Sierras in the most incredible colors. We had plenty of space to spread out, with tables and chairs on both the front and back decks.
Speaking of space, the location of the cabin was fantastic. It’s situated in the Foresta area, which felt wonderfully peaceful compared to the hustle and bustle of Yosemite Valley. The best part? We could actually explore a whole new section of the park on foot right from our doorstep. The cabin also had this incredibly warm and welcoming feel to it. You could really tell the owners put a lot of thought and care into making it a comfortable and relaxing space.

We spent most nights gathering by the stone fireplace, enjoying the crackling flames and the view of Wawona Dome through the large windows. Though the cabin provided us with free Wi-Fi, for us the best connection was with nature!
However, one thing to keep in mind is that there’s no air conditioning. Luckily, the weather was perfect when we visited, but it’s something to consider if you’re planning a trip during the hotter months.
