La Quinta by Wyndham Dallas Love Field
11
Love Field is a laid-back Dallas neighborhood with tree-lined streets and ranch-style houses that embody the spirit of the Old West but with the touch of a modern urban settlement. La Quinta by Wyndham Dallas Love Field is a four-story, 102-room hotel conveniently located near Bachman Lake Park which is one of the best things about the neighborhood. The hotel also offers a free shuttle service from the Dallas Love Field Airport which makes up for the limited public transport options in the area.
On our last visit, we missed the shuttle service and had to use a taxi but the hotel still paid for it which was great. We were welcomed into a modestly decorated lobby with an earthen touch. The check-in process was smooth, and our room was clean, well-stocked, and modernly furnished. We had a brightly decorated king room that had a coffee maker, a mini-fridge, and a microwave.
The room had windows facing the freeway, but it wasn’t too loud so we still slept comfortably. Moreover, there is a free breakfast buffet, with great waffles, scrambled eggs, fresh juice, and lots of apples. Their outdoor pool and hot tub were a big plus, although it got a little crowded around 11 am. Overall, we had a great experience as we didn’t expect that much luxury at that price.

Cooper Hotel Conference Center & Spa

We came across the Cooper Hotel Conference Center & Spa while looking for a wellness center with sufficient amenities for our entire team. The hotel is located just a short distance North of downtown Dallas and easily accessible off Preston Road. It recognizes Stash membership, which allowed us to get a big discount for an oversized suite. We were also in for a pleasant surprise when we arrived because our package included discounts for the spa and free access to the fitness center with a wellness trainer.
The 61-room hotel is part of a serene 30-acre wellness-focussed commune which includes the Cooper Clinic, The Coop Retail Boutique, and The Cedars Woodfire Grill. Our suite was intimately decorated and modernly furnished with cozy premium-quality beds, a big couch, and a comfortable desk. We were especially impressed by the oversized bathroom with enough room for two people.
The hotel offers a luxury getaway experience at a friendly price, with hiking tracks and picnic spots throughout the property for cooling off. Better still, with premium conference facilities for up to 250 guests, this place attracts corporate clients, making it the perfect spot for meeting like-minded people in any industry. We enjoyed delicious food, a fun fitness program, and great company in a community spirit. At the modest price, we concluded that this is one of the top cheap hotels in Downtown Dallas Texas.

While looking for cheap hotels in the Fort Worth city center, we got a great deal for a double at Hyatt Place Fort Worth/Cityview. The location is amazing because every must-see destination in the DFW is within a 20-minute drive. Our top destination, the Fort Worth Cultural District, was less than five minutes away. Besides, the hotel has free parking so the location was perfect for our trip. We didn’t expect much, seeing as it had a 3-star rating, but we trusted our local expert and booked adjoining rooms for a short stay.
The front desk staff was very helpful and made the check-in process easy. The room was modestly decorated and had all the basics including a coffee maker and mini fridge. Furthermore, the beds were oversized and fitted with ultra-soft linens, giving us every reason to oversleep. Our rooms were on the top floor and everything was quiet despite the hotel’s prime location. We also enjoyed the free buffet breakfast which was a huge plus considering the pocket-friendly room prices.

Everything about the hotel spells serenity, from the purple, white, and blue exterior to the earthen floors and white walls of the lobby. Our room, a quadruple, was mildly decorated with ambient lighting for a good night’s sleep. Apart from the unwelcome noise of airplanes, cheap hotels in Dallas Fort Worth Airport surroundings are still in high demand because of the location’s convenience. Homewood Suites by Hilton Irving-DFW Airport was especially convenient for us when we visited Dallas because of its proximity to the Irving CDB. We were attracted to the hotel’s indoor pool and modern fitness center and weren’t disappointed when we arrived.
We were given an early check-in at no extra cost and received digital keys as the hotel recognized Hilton Honors membership. The front desk staff was very friendly and even helped us get adjoining rooms so the whole family could stay close to each other. As expected, the rooms were sparkling clean, with detailed instructions on their cleaning schedule included in each room. The staff even asked about allergies and offered to change toiletries to fit everyone’s needs.
We had a continental breakfast as part of our package and were impressed because it had delicious food options, including lots of apples. The staff informed us that we would have our kitchen if we upgraded to a suite. Our whole stay was made better by the hotel’s common barbecue area which allowed us to have a little party on the last day before check out.

SOVA Micro-Room & Social Hotel

We came across this boutique hotel while looking for a place to lay our heads for the night in the city centre and it proved to be a wise choice. There is nothing too fancy about the SOVA Micro-Room & Social Hotel. It is simply one of the best conveniently located cheap hotels in Downtown Dallas Texas, suitable for a short stay. It is located on Commerce Street, right in the heart of downtown, putting the most important companies and tourist attractions within walking distance.
The one thing we were grateful for is the fact that the rooms were not so micro after all. The little room had a full-sized queen bed, clean cozy linens, and a well-stocked bathroom. Despite its simplicity, the room was clean and we didn’t have to deal with any strange smells, bugs, or stains which was a plus. The bar downstairs also made a great spot for a meet and greet.
The wifi was strong both in the bar and in the rooms which is a huge plus considering the hotel’s pocket-friendly price. Breakfast is not offered on-site, but we found a nice burrito place just a block away from the hotel so we didn’t mind.

Opened in the 1920s, Warwick Melrose Hotel gave us the opportunity to taste the luxury of Old Dallas on a budget. It is Located in the affluent Oak Lawn neighborhood of uptown Dallas and has all the facilities you need on a luxury holiday. We were especially attracted to the hotel’s large pool with lots of loungers that make a perfect spot for basking in the Texas morning sun. The hotel is just two miles from Dallas’s Love Field Airport and has a free shuttle service which made it easy for us to move around.
Furthermore, the hotel also has a concierge service, with a free shuttle service within a three-mile radius that helped us with our luggage and logistics around the city. For our stay, we got a well-decorated corner classic king room with a view of the Dallas skyline. Despite the classical furnishings, everything in the room was clean, solid, and comfortable.
The large swimming pool also lived up to its reputation. It was open until 10 pm allowing us to swim under the moonlight. We also enjoyed a discount at the spa which had a wide variety of services to choose from. Moreover, the evenings at Warwick were never disappointing because of the live music at the Library Bar. The Landmark Restaurant also serves delicious continental dishes.

Candlewood Suites Dallas Market Center-Love Field, an IHG Hotel is another cheap hotel in Dallas, conveniently located near Love Field Airport. The hotel also provides a free 24-hour shuttle service, which is rare among cheap hotels in Dallas Tx downtown. We stayed here while in Texas to see the eclipse and were impressed by the service quality. Moreover, the staff helped us get an early check-in and even organized to have the team stay in adjacent rooms.
The wifi in both rooms was strong, something we needed to stay up to date with work. However, our biggest plus at this hotel was the well-stocked kitchen that allowed us to enjoy a home-cooked meal. The rooms also had a mini-fridge and a coffee maker and had clean and well-stocked bathrooms with plenty of towels.
We’ve always loved the Candlewood Suites, and this well-located hotel was also affordable, as a bonus!”

Drury Plaza Hotel Dallas Richardson

Richardson is one of the best neighborhoods on the outskirts of Dallas, and we chose to stay at this gem for its luxurious experience. Drury Plaza Hotel Dallas Richardson is conveniently located right off West Cityline Drive, just over 10 miles from Downtown Dallas. Its location in the laid-back neighborhood makes it a good choice for a cheap hotel in Dallas Texas, away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, but it is still just a short drive away from essential locations downtown.
We visited when the hotel was newly opened, featuring classy fittings starting from the sliding electric front doors to the large elevator. We had an oversized room with a large well-stocked bathroom, a wardrobe, a minifridge, and a microwave. The room overlooked the freeway, so we had a little ambient noise, but the walls were thick so all stayed quiet at night.
The hotel also has lots of free offers as far as food and laundry are concerned, including a very good breakfast with eggs, oatmeal, sausages, and veggies in plenty. We were grateful for the unlimited juice and coffee, free dinner, and a free evening snack. However, the sixth-floor swimming pool with beach chairs overlooking the freeway has to be the best thing about this hotel.

Lorenzo Hotel Dallas, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
2
For the best Instagram-worthy stay in Downtown Dallas, we chose this historic hotel, having received a great deal for a double room. Lorenzo Hotel Dallas, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is arguably one of the most beautiful hotels in the city with a wide collection of art, some inspired by Andy Warhol. Its eye-catching visual art spelled a luxury experience even before we entered the hotel, which is why for that price, we rated it one of the best cheap hotels in Dallas TX Downtown.
Being part of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton, this hotel’s art seems to speak to guests, from the funky ceiling decoration in the lobby to the quaint rooms. While walking through the literal art gallery, we were welcomed to a cozy oversized double room with a well-defined living area decorated with precision. The beds were even bigger than we expected, fitted with cozy linens and intimately decorated with ambient lighting that had us sleeping in no time. Moreover, we had a perfect city view and got to enjoy the breathtaking sight of the sun rising over Dallas.
We were impressed by the minimalistic bathrooms with fancy fittings including dazzling tiles and glass walls. The bathroom was also well stocked with toiletries and towels, and apart from a cold jet on the first turn, the shower was perfect. We didn’t include breakfast in our booking, but with two restaurants and a bar in the hotel, we were more than happy to order room service from the menu.

Having enjoyed our stays at other IHG outlets, we were very confident in booking a standard room at this newly opened Avid Hotel-Fort Worth Downtown. Located on Samuels Avenue, the hotel is within a less than 15-minute drive of the Fort Worth Zoo, Six Flags Over Texas, and The Fort Worth Stockyards. Apart from the convenience of accessing multiple business locations in Downtown Fort Worth, we also wanted access to the best shopping joints in Dallas and this hotel offered both.
Everything in the hotel is designed to suit a modern budget traveler, including an electric vehicle charging space, private check-in/out, a modern fitness center, and many more. All the rooms had new fittings and were sparkling clean, including their private bathrooms. Our room didn’t have a coffee maker, but we didn’t mind because there was unlimited coffee and tea in the lobby.
