Best Atmosphere. Our trip to Colorado brought us to one of the most fun and pet-friendly hotels, the Home2 Suites By Hilton Grand Junction Northwest. Right from the bat, we were welcomed with colorful decor and friendly staff. They immediately took an interest in our dog, even giving them scratches and pets. We only brought one dog and stayed for 3 nights, so our pet fee came to $25. That said, if you’re planning on bringing 2 dogs or cats and staying for more than 4 nights, then the pet fee goes to $125. We were also informed that there’s a pet weight limit, which is 75 lbs.

After checking in and settling the pet fees, we were then taken to our suite, which was nice and spacious. Our room had a sofa bed and a kitchen, which only made our stay even better. Other than that, we also loved how there were so many outdoor areas in the hotel. The patio and shared lounge definitely became our go-to spot to hang out with our pup. The hotel also had extra facilities worth mentioning, like a fitness center, an indoor pool, free parking, and free breakfast!

Furthermore, location-wise, we had nothing to complain about. The hotel was mere minutes away from the airport, and most importantly, the Canyon View Dog Park. When we’re not out exploring downtown Grand Junction, the park is where we mostly go.

Best Western Grande River Inn and Suites

The Best Western Grande River Inn and Suites gave us the best retreat in Grand Junction with our beloved pets. It’s located on the east side of Grand Junction and offers us a more serene side of the city. It’s not smacked dabbed in the middle of the city center, but we were closer to Palisade, where most of the famous vineyards are.

Most importantly, the hotel and its staff were great to our pets. Plus, the pet fee fits perfectly with our budget. We only stayed for a night, so the fact that the hotel charges pet fees per night, we only had to pay $30 for two dogs and a $10 cleaning fee. They also welcome cats, so this hotel will suit you perfectly for cat owners.

As for our dogs, they were warmly welcomed by the staff and were given treats. Furthermore, the hotel room was also up to our taste. Even though the suites aren’t available to pets, we stayed in the standard room comfortably. Our room also opened directly to the garden, so our dogs had plenty of outdoor time.

Comfort Inn and Suites Grand Junction I-70

Most pet-friendly hotels we’ve been to usually only allow a maximum of two dogs per room. But in this case, the Comfort Inn and Suites Grand Junction I-70 allows up to 3 dogs in the room. Upon knowing this, we had no hesitation in staying here while in town. The pet fee was $40 per pet/stay, and the total for us did become quite pricey, but it was worth every penny since we got to bring all of our pups. Unfortunately, though, cats aren’t allowed.

The hotel was great, and we had a good time staying there. Everything was clean and tidy. The staff was nice and were excited to have furry guests. They helped us settle in our room, gave our pets some treats, and showed us the pet relief area near the hotel. As for our guestroom, it was spacious enough to fit three dogs comfortably.

Furthermore, the hotel was also in a good location. We only had to drive for about five minutes to reach downtown and less so to the airport. When we wanted to get takeouts, Wendy’s and The Cutting Board were just across the street.

Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Grand Junction Downtown

Best Location. One of our favorite features of Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Grand Junction Downtown was the convenience the hotel gave us. Firstly, the downtown location was definitely a big plus for us. We were able to walk around with our dog to places. The area had lots of trees, so we had sufficient shading when walking outside. One of our favorite pet-friendly bars, the Ramblebine Brewing Company, is just a few blocks away.

Secondly, the hotel had reasonable pet policies that suited us. The hotel allows a maximum of two pets in the room and accepts both dogs and cats. As for us, we brought one pet dog and paid a pet fee of $50 for one night. The policy also allowed us to leave our pet unattended in the room. That way, we had time to exercise in the fitness center and check out the indoor pool.

Thirdly, the guestroom was just top-notch. We had the junior suite, and it was pleasantly spacious, with a separate seating area and a kitchen. Last, but not least, the hotel staff were so lovely to our dog. From the get-go, they gave our dog lots of affection and treats. All in all, we had a great experience at Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Grand Junction Downtown.

Tru By Hilton Grand Junction Downtown

Another colorful pet-friendly accommodation we got to stay at in Downtown Grand Junction was Tru By Hilton. The hotel’s lobby set the tone for our stay from the moment we arrived. With splashes of colors everywhere, we knew we were in for an exciting stay. It also helped that the staff was as cheerful as the hotel’s aesthetics. It’s apparent that they were excited to welcome a good boy, as our pet dog got tons of affection from the staff.

After helping us check in, we were escorted to our guestroom. At first, we were worried if our big boy would be comfortable, but fortunately, the room had ample space and comfy beds. As a testament to this, our dog loved lounging on the bed. That said, the hotel also had a cozy outdoor terrace, which became our favorite spot to chill out after a day of exploring Grand Junction.

Most importantly, we found their pet policy accommodating. They allow a maximum of two dogs or cats, and the $50 pet fee we paid included two dogs for up to 4 nights, with an increased fee of $125 for longer stays. The hotel also welcomes all breeds, provided they weigh less than 75 lbs. Overall, our experience at Tru By Hilton Grand Junction Downtown was a pleasant one.

Econo Lodge Grand Junction

We were thoroughly impressed with our stay at Econo Lodge Grand Junction, and it exceeded our expectations. We appreciated everything about the hotel, from its convenient location near I-70 and the airport to the friendly staff and comfortable rooms. The pet-friendly amenities and policies were also a standout feature.

They made sure that we and our pet got an exclusive treatment. The hotel’s designated pet-friendly rooms are on the first floor and equipped with a separate entrance. That way, we pet owners could easily exit the hotel whenever our pets needed potty time. And not to mention, when it comes to warm welcomes, our dog got a tasty treat from the staff upon checking in. If that isn’t adorable enough, the pet-designated floor was decorated with cute dog and cat pictures. Conveniently, our room also had a laminated floor, which was easier to clean after muddy tracks.

The best part is that this pet-friendly experience came at a budget-friendly price. We only had to pay a $15 extra charge per pet/night, and the hotel also accommodates larger dogs and cats. Next time we’re in town, we definitely would bring both of our dogs here!

Hampton Inn Grand Junction

Located on Main Street in Downtown Grand Junction, the Hampton Inn offers a nice and convenient stay for us and our pets. We could easily walk our dogs along Main Street and get to cafes and shops nearby. Furthermore, the staff made a good impression from the moment we checked in. They were nice enough to give our dogs treats and helped us settle in our pet-friendly room on the 2nd floor. The hotel also had a terrace for us to relax when the weather was nice. Our dogs particularly like the foliage in the surrounding area, where they can explore and sniff on flowers and leaves.

As for the pet policies, it was pretty standard for the hotel in Downtown Grand Junction. The hotel allows a maximum of two cats or dogs per room. And for a one-night stay, we were charged $50 for 2 dogs. Additionally, the hotel doesn’t have weight or breed restrictions, so we had no problem bringing in two chunky dogs.

DoubleTree by Hilton Grand Junction

The DoubleTree by Hilton Grand Junction is yet another hotel we stayed at that was located near the airport. It offered us many conveniences, from free shuttles within a 5-mile radius to exemplary pet-friendly services.

For starters, we stayed here with two dogs for two nights and only had to pay a $50 pet fee per stay. We were mindful of the maximum 50 lbs weight policy, but other than that, our stay was hassle-free. Like many pet-friendly hotels, the staff treated our pets like royalties, even giving them treats every time we went to the lobby. We also loved our spacious guestroom, which had a cozy lounge chair that our dogs quickly claimed for themselves. Unfortunately, cats aren’t allowed at the hotel.

The outdoor facilities were another reason this hotel stood out to us. The hotel had a tennis court, a basketball court, and an outdoor pool. Ample areas for our dogs to romp around and enjoy their outdoor time. While staying here, one of our favorite pastimes was hanging out at the patio of the hotel’s Bistro Bar & Grille while our pups chilled under the shades. Their Colorado microbrew beers and wines were simply splendid.

Grand Vista Hotel Grand Junction

We had a memorable one-night stay at Grand Vista Hotel Grand Junction with our dog. The day started with a warm welcome from the staff, who were genuinely excited to have a furry guest and even gave our dog a treat. We paid a $30 pet fee for the night, and they provided waste bags.

Our guestroom, while fairly standard, was spacious and well-appointed. Other than that, the hotel also had other facilities that made our stay even more enjoyable. We were able to get treats at the snack bar, and the indoor pool was nice when the Colorado weather got too hot. Our favorite spot was the hotel’s Oliver’s Restaurant patio, where we enjoyed fantastic food surrounded by vibrant flowers and plants that delighted our dog.

The location was another reason we put this hotel so high on the list. It’s just on the outskirts of the airport and close to the Grand Valley Recreational Area. Plus, cats are also allowed here!

Clarion Inn Grand Junction

Best Value for Money. Our stay at Clarion Inn Grand Junction was an absolute joy, both for us and our beloved pets. The location was perfect, just minutes from the airport and a short 10-minute drive to downtown Grand Junction.

What truly set this hotel apart was its exceptional pet-friendly approach. They welcomed both cats and dogs and provided an array of pet amenities. We were thrilled to discover a fenced dog-run area for our furry friend to socialize and a grassy spot for their needs when the dog-run area got too warm. At a reasonable extra fee of just $10 per pet per night, we felt like we got a great deal, especially considering the superb hospitality. The staff accommodated us on the 1st floor for easy access, and our guestroom was clean and spacious, featuring a mini-fridge and a comfortable couch.

Overall Best. At Hotel Maverick we and our pup were able to travel in style. This boutique hotel that’s located within the Colorado Mesa University (CSM) offered us a trifecta of outstanding hospitality, chic accommodations, and excellent pet-friendly perks. While the pet fee was $75 per pet per night, it was well worth it, with no weight restrictions, although cats aren’t allowed.

Hospitality-wise, the staff was accommodating enough to give us a ground-floor room, per our request. And to our delight, our room had a fenced patio with a patch of grass, which helped plenty when our pup needed to potty. Furthermore, our room had water, a food bowl, and a dog’s bed. It was also really cute when the staff gifted our dog with treats and a bandana to match the hotel’s stylish aesthetic. Moreover, the pet-friendly amenities don’t stop there. In fact, one of our favorite features of the hotel was its spacious yard for our four-pawed friend to run around.

For us human companions, the facilities were equally impressive. They include an outdoor jacuzzi, a rooftop bar & restaurant where our dog could join us for a meal with a view, and a gourmet coffee shop to kickstart our day. All in all, Hotel Maverick was the creme de la creme of a pet-friendly hotel in Grand Junction, CO, for us.

It’s located in the downtown area and has a variety of menus, from Greek cuisine to Asian food and selections of beers and wines. Most importantly, the outdoor patio provided nice shades for us and our pups. The staff were nice enough to give our dogs bowls with ice water and some bacon treats.
• Spoons Bistro & Bakery – What we loved most about the Spoons Bistro & Bakery was its expansive outdoor area where our pets can frolic and simply be outside. The restaurant’s food selections were also another reason we kept on coming back here. They truly outdone themselves with different menus for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner.
• Ramblebine Brewing Company – This restaurant was another one of our go-to spots in Grand Junction. It’s located in the downtown area and has a semi-outdoor layout, so our pets can also sit inside. Plus, it also serves amazing beer selections and grilled food.

• Canyon View Dog Park – We found this dog park just off the I-70 highways near the north end of Canyon View Park. It was huge, with three separate fenced areas for different sizes of dogs. It also had plenty of grassy areas and even a pond.
• Lunch Loops Community Recreation Area – For outdoor adventure enthusiasts, the Lunch Loops Community Recreation Area is the place to bring your dogs. It’s mainly for trail running, hiking, and mountain biking, but for you and your pets, it can be a place to hang out and enjoy the scenery.
• Whitewater Hill Vineyards – This is the place to fancifully hang out with your pets and enjoy sips of Colorado’s finest wines. You can just picture it, a homemade wine in your hand, your pup nibbling on their “Barkuterie Board,” and the Rocky Mountain view as your backdrop.
