Best for Overnight Stays. We were glad we decided to stay at Hampton Inn & Suites New Orleans/Elmwood. First, the hotel is just 14 minutes from the airport—talk about convenience. Though it’s a bit further away from the French Quarter, it also gave us a quieter experience. Still, we managed to have tons of fun. We enjoyed relaxing in the outdoor pool, and the complimentary breakfast was a huge plus. The hotel even offers its guests breakfast bags to go on weekdays.

Our room was spotless, big, and modern, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. But what we loved the most about our room was the custom-designed bed, which felt extremely comfy. We even had a hard time waking up each morning. If you need more space, the hotel offers suites with living areas. Some even have kitchenettes and whirlpool tubs—perfect for longer stays or families.

Best for Easy Access. We were charmed by our stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites New Orleans Canal St. French Quarter! First, the location was terrific. Stepping out of the beautifully restored 1927 building, we found ourselves right on the Canal Streetcar line, with the Joy Theater and Saenger Theater just a short stroll away. The French Quarter, the heart of New Orleans, was also within easy reach, along with iconic venues like the Caesars Superdome and Smoothie King Arena.

Throughout our stay, we slept in the King Studio Suite. It was everything we ever wanted. It was spacious and sparkling clean, and we loved showering in the spotless bathroom, too. We especially appreciated the dedicated desk space, which gave us the chance to catch up on work. Waking up to a complimentary hot breakfast was a nice way to start each day, and the Canal Street Bar in the lobby provided the perfect spot to unwind with a pre-dinner drink.

Best Charm. The Hampton Inn New Orleans French Quarter Market Area is simply outstanding. First of all, we loved how everything was within easy walking distance. We were just a 4-minute stroll from the Frenchmen Art Bazaar night market, which was a great place to grab some unique souvenirs and soak up the atmosphere. The nearest tram stop was also just 4 minutes away, making exploring the rest of the city easy.

This Hampton Inn New Orleans Louisiana hotel has some great amenities, too. Whenever we had the chance, we would take a dip in the outdoor pool. Want a quick workout session? Head to the on-site gym! We also loved the convenience store since we’re big munchers. But the most impressive thing to us was the colorful murals in our King Room. It captured the spirit of Marigny perfectly.

Hampton Inn New Orleans/St. Charles Ave

Best for Value. Up next is the Hampton Inn New Orleans/St. Charles Ave. As the name suggests, we were right on the St. Charles streetcar line, which made it super easy to get around the city without a car. It was also close to the Audubon Zoo and Jackson Square, two must-sees for us. Aside from the convenient location, we were met with complimentary offerings, too. The free breakfast was tasty, and the hotel had a good variety of options. We also loved the nightly reception with tea and cheese.

This Hampton Inn hotel New Orleans has to offer is fantastic. During our stay, we were spoilt by its outdoor pool. We were able to cool off when the weather was hot, and you can even use the meeting room to finish some work. Also, our King Room was everything we expected. We especially appreciated the cloud-like bed and in-room coffee maker.

Hampton Inn Downtown/French Quarter Area

Best Location. We couldn’t have asked for a better location than the Hampton Inn Downtown/French Quarter Area! The streetcar line right outside the hotel was hard to beat. We easily hopped on and off to explore the vibrant French Quarter, just a short 3-minute walk away. It was amazing being so close to the action, but we also appreciated being able to retreat to a quieter area after soaking it all in. Plus, for a fun outing, the Audubon Zoo was a quick car ride away.

While the Hampton Inn isn’t a luxury hotel, our King Studio Suite made us feel like we were staying in one. The king-sized bed was perfect for a restful night’s sleep, and the sofa bed provided an extra sleeping space if needed. The range of complimentary amenities was a surprise, too. The well-equipped fitness center was open 24/7, so we could work out anytime. Beyond fitness, the hotel offered us a complimentary evening manager’s reception on Wednesdays, allowing us to meet fellow travelers and unwind before calling it a night.

Best for Convention-Goers. Because of its proximity to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, the Hampton Inn and Suites New Orleans Convention Center is popular, especially among business travelers. But this hotel is more than just that. We loved being just a block from the Mississippi River, allowing us to have a scenic walk during downtime. Even better, major attractions like Caesars Casino, the Riverwalk Marketplace, and the Superdome were all within a two-mile radius. We could easily explore them all by car. This hotel is the closest to the port for cruise travelers and even offers a free shuttle and special cruise packages.

Sure, the hotel caters to business travelers, but it was also a great fit for us leisure seekers. It wasn’t overflowing with luxury amenities but had everything we needed. The 24/7 fitness center was modern and came with a Peloton bike. And let’s not forget the outdoor pool! Located in a private courtyard, it felt like a hidden oasis in the city. Also, the complimentary breakfast kept us fueled every morning. And once everything was done, we would have a good night’s sleep in our well-appointed King Suite.
