Pharos Hvar Hotel

With over 200 cozy rooms, an exciting outdoor pool, and sparkling views of the sea, Pharos Hvar Hotel is the perfect option to kick off this list. This is an affordable hotel that offers everything you need. Only a 10-minute walk away from the harbor, this hotel is designed to meet the needs of those who love beaches and nightlife. The heart of the hotel is the garden, which boasts a free-form swimming pool, sunloungers, bean bags, a pool bar, and outdoor exercise equipment. This area is often crowded and the perfect place to meet new people. Don’t be shy and say hi!
Additionally, we also love the open-plan design. When we first arrived, we were startled by the spacious lobby allowing you to access the restaurant directly. And though the rooms are on the smaller side, they’re designed not to feel that small. It took us some time to get used to the vibrant wall paint. However, that makes the rooms stand out. A tip from us: book the room that overlooks the pool and pine trees.

A heritage hotel, Palace Elisabeth is set in the heart of Hvar. It’s only a short distance away from the main square, making it one of the most popular accommodation options in the area. Most Luxurious. If you enjoy the finer things in life and want to stay at a luxurious hotel, there’s no other place better than Hotel Moeesy, Blue & Green Oasis. Our jaws dropped instantly when we saw this hotel. Everything in this hotel is made to give you nothing but pleasure. With mesmerizing views of the ocean and flawless service, this is the perfect place to unwind and spoil yourself. First, let’s talk about the location. Set in a villa, it only took us a few minutes to reach the beach. Walk a little further, and you’ll find St. Stephen’s Cathedral, which is the city’s first cathedral.
During our stay, we were surprised that the breakfast buffet was served for free! And speaking of food, one of the hotel’s highlights is its restaurant which boasts a spacious terrace overlooking the sparkling sea. Also, don’t forget to burn those calories in the gym and sauna. You may want to stay at Beach Bay Hvar Hotel for the ultimate relaxation. One of the highlights of this hotel is that it’s designed with environmentally-friendly features. Those willing to take the extra step to take care of the Earth will finally have a sustainable experience here. However, what we think is the best part of this hotel is the fact that it’s right next to the Franciscan Monastery and its beach. We’re not kidding you; it only took us a short stroll to reach this historic church.
We spent a night at this hotel and booked the Junior Suite. We truly had a great time there. The room was immaculately clean, the bed was soft and comfortable, and we loved the spacious balcony. Plus, the views of the beach and the monastery are waiting for you outside. But don’t spend the entire day in your room. While this hotel doesn’t offer a swimming pool or spa, it does encourage you to explore the beautiful surrounding area as bike rental is available.

Hvar Town is arguably the best place to stay for travelers visiting Hvar. Popular among all types of travelers, it’s known for its thriving nightlife, stunning architecture, and historical attractions. Here, you’ll also find plenty of restaurants and hotels. However, during peak season, the accommodations can be pretty pricey.
If you prefer to stay somewhere more quiet and more peaceful, you should stay in Stari Grad. One of Europe’s oldest towns, it’s a nice option for couples and families. In Stari Grad, you’ll find tons of restaurants and stores. There’s also a harbor, home to countless small boats.
During our trip, we spent most of our time in Stari Grad and Hvar Town, the most popular areas. However, there are also other small towns worth exploring. Jelsa is a small but charming town with local wineries and sandy beaches. This place is notably more affordable. There’s also Milna, which lies to the east of Hvar Town and boasts plenty of beaches and a pine forest.
What area in Hvar is best to stay in?
Based on our experience, we think Hvar Town is the best area in Hvar. It’s where all the top things to see and do can be found.
How long should you stay in Hvar?
We think spending three to five days in Hvar should be enough for most travelers. Of course, for a more intimate experience, you’re welcome to stay longer.
Which is better Dubrovnik or Hvar?
Both are great! There are so many things to do in Dubrovnik, one of the world’s greatest walled cities. Plus, the hotels in Dubrovnik are nothing short of impressive. But if you’re more of a party person, we think you’ll like Hvar a little better.
