Each morning started with a generous breakfast spread, laid out in a cozy dining room. There was more than enough variety to keep us going until late afternoon. And when we needed to slow down, we found ourselves drawn to the hotel’s bar and terrace. It became our favorite little corner to relax.

Best Luxury. The Grand Hôtel Moderne is a very conveniently located hotel. We could step outside and almost touch the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, with the Grotto of Our Lady just a short stroll away. It’s easy to see why, as this was the very first hotel in Lourdes, and its location was chosen with purpose.

What really made our stay special, though, was the people. The reception team switched between languages like it was second nature, and the waiters greeted us with genuine smiles. Whether we needed help planning a trip into the Pyrenees or something as simple as printing papers, they were on it. We would usually end our days with a quiet drink at the bar before dinner at Le Majorelle, where the French and Italian dishes were to die for.
