Plenty of travelers have been charmed by Hotel 50 Bowery, and we’re sure you’ll soon experience the same. Just off the bustling Canal Street, it offered us an effortless escape in the heart of Chinatown. While the location is great, we particularly loved The Crown rooftop bar on the 21st floor. The views of the Manhattan and Brooklyn skylines were simply breathtaking. Add in delicious Asian-inspired cocktails and tempting small bites, and it’s no wonder this spot was buzzing with both locals and guests. Just be prepared for a crowd!
The staff at Hotel 50 Bowery was fantastic – friendly, helpful, and incredibly pet-friendly! They even offered complimentary dog beds and dishes for our furry travel companion. The best part? The rooms here are surprisingly spacious for Manhattan. Starting at 260 sq ft, they echo the lobby’s industrial-modern aesthetic with floor-to-ceiling windows and oak furnishings. We loved the subtle nods to Chinatown in our room, like the tea kettle and cool art by local graffiti artist Dake Wong.

Introducing you to the Nine Orchard, the hottest new hotel on the Lower East Side. Located in one of NYC’s most vibrant neighborhoods, the hotel is the perfect blend of impeccable design, stunning city views, and a buzzing food and cocktail scene. During our time there, it felt like we were transported back in time. Housed in a meticulously restored 1912 bank, the hotel boasts architectural details that would leave any history buff speechless. The rooms at the hotel are more like a luxurious New York apartment than a hotel stay. We loved the minimalist chic design, from the custom-made bed frames to the restored moldings.
Moreover, the food and beverage scene is truly top-notch. We started our evenings with a visit to the Swan Room, the hotel’s stunning lobby lounge. The restored bank ceilings, plush velvet booths, and bartenders in white jackets mixing up magical concoctions all contributed to a vibe that was both classic and modern. While food options are limited, the cocktails are the real star of the show. We particularly enjoyed “The Jardin”, a unique blend of gin, cantaloupe, dill, aquavit, and lime.

One of the many reasons why we had a blast staying at the 33 Hotel was because of its location. It’s situated right on a cobblestone street brimming with cafes and eateries. Too lazy to go out? Fret not! The hotel also boasts an elegant restaurant. Of course, we made sure to dine there and the Korean-influenced menu was fantastic. We couldn’t resist unwinding at the stylish bar after dinner. And for those seeking some exercise to burn the excess calories, there’s a fitness center on-site.
The rooms at this hotel are known to be a haven of comfort. Each one comes with the essentials plus a luxurious marble bathroom. For a touch of luxury, we opted for the Classic One-Bedroom Suite, which offered beautiful views of both Peck Slip and Front Streets. And if you want to go extra bougie, book the Seaport King Suite! It comes with a wraparound terrace.

While there are so many amazing hotels in Lower Manhattan New York City, a stay at The Greenwich Hotel will give you a one-of-a-kind experience. We still remember how we were awed when we first arrived. Unlike the bustling lobbies of most hotels in the area, The Greenwich felt more like a private residence, a feeling amplified by the hotel’s commitment to “Old-World craftsmanship”. Our room, a delightful upgrade to the North Moore penthouse, felt like something out of a design magazine. Imagine this: a two-bedroom, two-floor residence with working fireplaces, a private steam room and sauna, and a skylight revealing the entire New York skyline at night.
The hotel boasts two dining options: The Drawing Room and Locanda Verde. The former, tucked into the ground floor, offers a sophisticated space for cocktails by the fireplace. The latter, on the other hand, buzzes with lively energy. The menu, overseen by star chef Andrew Carmellini, changes seasonally. Beyond the beautiful rooms and delicious food, the hotel offers a hidden gem in the form of the Shibui Spa. Inspired by Japanese bathing rituals, the spa provided us with a serene escape. We loved the onsen-inspired baths and the massages with hot sake-infused towels.

Best Trendy. There are so many things to love about the Crosby Street Hotel. First, it’s set right in the heart of SoHo. Then, there’s the giant 12 ft cat sculpture guarding the entrance. It’s such a quirky and fun welcome. Of course, the hotel has some great amenities too. We enjoyed working out in the 24-hour gym, and the plush drawing room with the fireplace was such a cozy spot to relax. The hotel even has a private movie theater showing films every Sunday – a great way to spend a quiet evening.
For food and drinks, The Crosby Bar and Terrace is fantastic. It serves delicious gourmet dishes, including breakfast, brunch, and afternoon tea. We highly recommend trying the afternoon tea. The pastries and sandwiches were divine. And when it comes to the room, we really liked ours. The high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows made the space feel incredibly airy and bright. Plus, all the modern amenities like smart TVs, Blu-ray players, and Bose sound systems made it feel extra fancy.

Conrad New York Downtown

Best Suites. The Conrad New York Downtown is an all-suite hotel that almost feels like a luxurious art gallery. Don’t blame us! With a whopping 2,000 pieces on display throughout the lobby and atrium, our eyes were sparkling. It was a cool change from the usual hotel décor. Aside from that, the hotel also features a 24-hour gym and even a barbershop on-site for a quick trim. One of our favorite things, though, was the rooftop bar. We loved having a cocktail before calling it a day.
Speaking of which, our suite was modern and spacious, a big plus in a city like New York. We loved having an espresso machine in the room. Plus, there were two flat-screen TVs, so we all could watch whatever we wanted freely. What’s more, the bathroom felt luxurious, like a mini spa, with plush towels and high-end amenities. Some of the suites even offer stunning river views.

The Wall Street Hotel New York City is one of the top boutique hotels in Lower Manhattan area. It offered us a refreshing alternative in an area usually dominated by business hotels. Our room, the Carnegie Suite, was everything we wanted. Rose Ink Workshop’s design channeled classic New York elegance with rich velvets, brass accents, and a stunning oyster-inspired watercolor above the bed. We especially loved the spacious layout, complete with a writing desk for catching up on work and a deep soaking tub with a river view for ultimate relaxation.
Dining and drinks were equally impressive. The Lounge on Pearl captivated us with its playful clash of patterns and colors. We couldn’t resist indulging in the signature botanical cocktails and fresh oysters while perched by a massive velvet window. La Marchande, the in-house restaurant, provided a convenient and intimate setting for a delicious meal. The raw bar lived up to the hype, and while the portions for mains were a touch on the smaller side, the flavor was fantastic. While there’s no spa, the hotel caters to fitness-minded travelers with a well-equipped gym featuring CrossFit-inspired equipment.

We absolutely loved our stay at Gansevoort Meatpacking. As the name suggests, this hotel is right in the heart of the action in the Meatpacking District. We loved how many cool restaurants and shops were just steps away, and it was an easy walk to the subway as well as the Hudson River. But we didn’t have to venture out for dining as we were spoiled for choice. The Chester, the on-site restaurant, was trendy and delicious, and the lobby bar had a great vibe. But the real highlight was the rooftop terrace. The views from the pool were incredible, and it was the perfect place to relax and take in the atmosphere. There’s also a spa and a gym.
During our stay, we stayed in the Superior King Room. It was stylish and comfortable, with all the essential in-room amenities, including super comfy sheets. If you have an extra budget, book the room with a Juliet balcony – the city views are amazing! Some suites even come with fireplaces. Talk about an intimate trip!

Best Location. Another great addition to this list is the NobleDEN Hotel. First, let’s talk about the location. This hotel is wedged between Little Italy, Chinatown, Nolita, Soho, and the Lower East Side. We spent our days exploring the unique cultural vibes and cuisine of each neighborhood, then discovered hidden boutiques and trendy restaurants around every corner. It truly felt like an adventure in every direction.
Furthermore, the hotel was a breath of fresh air. The staff was incredibly welcoming and created a casual, comfortable atmosphere. They had thought of everything – from the handy minibar by the bed to the extra storage at the foot of it. Little details like that made the hotel feel more like a home away from home. We also loved having access to a 24-hour front desk for any questions, and the coffee and tea station was amazing for those early mornings. The highlight, though, was the rooftop terrace. It was our favorite spot to unwind and soak in the amazing city views.

Nestled right amongst the bustling restaurants and shops, Artezen Hotel is all about convenience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. We were only a minute’s walk from the Fulton Street subway station. Exploring the city was a breeze, and within a 9-minute walk, we found ourselves at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum.
Upscale and refined, our room came equipped with everything we needed, from an iPad to free Wi-Fi. The plush Italian linens on the bed also ensured a comfortable night’s sleep, while the in-room Nespresso machine allowed us to have a delightful caffeine fix each morning. The amenities were a nice bonus, with a well-equipped fitness center keeping us active and yoga classes available for some relaxation. We highly recommend this accommodation to anyone seeking a stylish and convenient base for exploring Lower Manhattan.

Best 5-Star. When it comes to opulence, The Beekman takes the cake. This Financial District hotel knows all the tricks to pamper its guests. When we first arrived, we were instantly blown away by the incredible 9-story atrium with a glass ceiling at the top, and balconies lining the upper floors. The whole space was filled with beautiful artwork, making it feel sophisticated yet inviting. The hotel also has three incredible restaurants on-site: Temple Court and The Bar Room by Chef Tom Colicchio, and Le Gratin by Chef Daniel Boulud. We were spoiled for choice, with everything from upscale dining to a more relaxed bar atmosphere.
We stayed in the Deluxe Corner Suite and it was flawless. It had a plush, vintage feel with unique artwork on the walls and gorgeous oak floors. Modern amenities were seamlessly integrated, with free Wi-Fi, a smart TV, and even USB charging ports. Meanwhile, the bathroom was pure luxury – rainfall shower, designer toiletries, everything we could ask for. Can’t sleep? Head to the bi-level fitness center and work up a sweat!
