Park Plaza Hotel Orlando Winter Park

Best Historic. The Park Plaza Hotel Orlando Winter Park promises a journey through time in the heart of Winter Park. Set in a historic building dating back to 1922, this boutique hotel immediately captured our imagination with its blend of vintage charm and modern amenities. From the moment we were in the lobby, we felt like we were part of Winter Park’s rich history.
The same feeling was felt in our King Honeymoon Suite. The exposed brick walls and wooden shutters gave the room an authentic, historic feel that transported us back in time. Don’t let the traditional decor fool you – the bed was surprisingly comfortable, offering us a restful night’s sleep that we didn’t quite expect from a historic hotel. Better yet, the balcony offered us lovely views of the historic district.
Meanwhile, the surrounding area is a culinary paradise. We were impressed by the numerous highly-rated restaurants and bistros just steps from the hotel. The dining options are nothing short of spectacular, with many establishments having defined Central Florida’s culinary scene for decades. We particularly loved the option to dine al fresco on the avenue.

Best Value. Nestled just off Highway 423, the Hilton Garden Inn Winter Park, FL offers an ideal location that puts you within easy reach of Winter Park’s charming attractions. We were just a quick 2-mile drive from the bustling Park Avenue, with its inviting shopping and dining options, and a short 3-mile journey from the cultural gem that is the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens.
The hotel’s The Garden Grille and Bar was a standout feature of our stay. The restaurant boasts an airy and colorful atmosphere that immediately lifts your spirits. We can’t stop raving about the Chicken Scaloppini we ordered – it was hands down the most delicious meal we’ve had during our trip. The dish was so good that it alone would make us want to return to this hotel. Beyond the restaurant, the Hilton Garden Inn offers several amenities that enhance our stay. We’re talking about the modern lounge, terrace, and fitness center.
Furthermore, our King Room was nothing short of spacious and well-appointed. The moment we walked in, we were impressed by the generous space that made our stay feel luxurious and comfortable. The room came equipped with all the modern conveniences we could ask for – free Wi-Fi, a sleek flat-screen TV, a handy microwave, a mini-fridge, and a Keurig coffeemaker that ensured our morning caffeine needs were met with ease. Upgraded rooms even offer the added comfort of a sofa.

The Alfond Inn

Best Aesthetics. What do we like about The Alfond Inn, you asked? A lot! As one of the top hotels in Winter Park Orlando Florida, this place is a real charmer. The terracotta roof and Mediterranean-style architecture give it a classic Florida feel, and the airy lobby is absolutely stunning. It showcases a rotating collection from the Alfond Collection of Contemporary Art at Rollins College, and we were captivated by a circular stained glass window by Daniel Maher. It depicts the four seasons with vibrant colors – truly a work of art.
For our stay, we booked the King Room, and it was even better than the pictures. Aside from being comfortable and spotless, the pops of vibrant colors make the room livelier. While the furnishings might not be the most cutting-edge, they still create a pleasant atmosphere, and we think that’s the charm! The bathroom, as expected, is modern and spacious, which is always a plus. But don’t spend too much time in your room! Explore the hotel’s pool, gym, and spa as well!
When it comes to food, Hamilton’s Kitchen didn’t disappoint. It was our go-to spot for delicious brunch. Expect classic American and Southern dishes with a little twist. And in the evenings, we loved to have some tasty wagyu beef sliders at the lounge. Also, have we mentioned that The Alfond Inn is pet-friendly? Your little friend will even receive a welcome basket upon arrival.
“Beyond its undeniable beauty, this hotel offers a truly remarkable experience, elevating it to the ranks of the finest accommodations.”
