INNSiDE by Meliá New York Nomad
11
Kicking off this list is the INNSiDE by Meliá New York Nomad, a sleek and contemporary hotel in the heart of Chelsea. Given its prime location and upscale amenities, we were excited to see what the experience would be like. The hotel’s glass facade and modern design immediately caught our eye. The lobby was stylish and inviting, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
We also loved the day-use option, allowing us to enjoy the hotel’s offerings and relax in a comfortable room without committing to a full night’s stay. The price of 129 USD for the 8 AM to 2 PM time slot was a great value, especially considering the usual nightly rate of 369 USD. It’s worth noting that the time slots may vary depending on the date of the stay.
Our room was exactly as advertised: sleek, modern, and featuring all the amenities we needed. We had free Wi-Fi, a minibar, a flat-screen TV, and a Nespresso machine. Our favorite, though, was the floor-to-ceiling windows that showed us stunning views of the city.

Best Value for Money. We’ve never had bad experiences staying at a Best Western hotel. When in Manhattan, you should consider the Best Western Premier Empire State Hotel. Let’s talk about the best part right away: the flexibility of the hourly stay. We were able to book a room from 10 AM to 3 PM for only 80 USD, which was a huge savings compared to the regular 200 USD rate.
For the price, the value was amazing. Our room, though compact, was spotless and so comfortable. We also had all the essentials like Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, and a coffeemaker. We also found the casual lobby bar and 24-hour business center to be great additions, too.
What about the hotel’s location? It’s pretty much unbeatable. We were able to easily walk to multiple subway stations, the Empire State Building, and even Times Square without breaking a sweat. If you’re looking for convenient hourly hotels in Manhattan NYC, this is it.

The next Manhattan hourly hotel on this list is the City Club Hotel. For our stay, we were only offered one slot, which was from 10 AM to 4 PM. For this 6-hour stay, we were charged 95 USD, which we thought was a great value considering the hotel’s prime location and amenities. The complimentary passes to a nearby health club were a nice perk, although we didn’t have time to take advantage of them.
The hotel itself was a gem. Our room was beautifully appointed, with a blend of classic and modern decor. We loved the dark marble bathroom and the thoughtful touches like the minibar.
Downstairs, you’ll find DB Bistro Moderne, a delightful spot for a meal. Go there to enjoy French-American cuisine! In addition to that, the hotel is well-located as well. Just off 5th Avenue, we were within walking distance of Bryant Park, Times Square, Grand Central Station, and Rockefeller Center.

The hotel is just a short walk from the 23rd Street subway station, making it easy to explore the city. We were also impressed by its proximity to Chelsea Piers and Madison Square Park, which offered plenty of opportunities for leisure and recreation.
For our 5-hour stay, we paid 100 USD, and it was from 10 AM to 3 PM. We stayed in the double room, and it had all the basic amenities you usually find. While we didn’t have a room with a city view, the overall ambiance was pleasant. Most importantly, the bed and bathroom was clean.

We decided to try out Candlewood Suites NYC for a quick day stay, drawn to its convenient location near Times Square and the Theater District. The hotel is in a charming high-rise building, but the modern suites were surprisingly spacious and comfortable.
We booked the 10 AM to 4 PM slot for 99 USD, which was a good value considering the location and amenities. The suite had a kitchen, free Wi-Fi, a desk, and everything else you can imagine. We also appreciated the flexibility to work or relax in our own space, even though we were there for only 6 hours.
While we didn’t have time to explore all the amenities, we did use the in-house fitness center and found it well-equipped. The snack bar was also convenient for grabbing a quick bite, and we liked the homey TV lounge in the lobby.

During one of our last trips to NYC, we stayed at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott New York Manhattan/Times Square for a few hours from 9 AM to 12 PM. For 3 hours, we only had to pay 85 USD, which was reasonable, especially in New York. Don’t worry, as there are many other time slots to choose from, ranging from 3 to 6 hours. This flexibility will make it easy for you to plan your stay around your itinerary.
Though simple, our room is clean and surprisingly comfortable. All we needed was just a comfy bed, but it offered more than that. While we didn’t have a balcony, we know that some of the upgraded suites offer this amenity.
Other amenities we appreciated included the lobby lounge, 24-hour gym, and rooftop terrace with BBQ equipment and city views. Before we threw ourselves to the bed, we made sure to check out the awesome rooftop terrace. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy the views of the city.

If you need a proper place to wait for your night flight, consider the New York Hilton Midtown. As one of the best day-use hotels Manhattan has to offer, we had high expectations, and they were all met. There were 2 time slots to choose from, which were 6 AM to 12 PM as well as 11 AM to 5 PM. We opted for the latter and had to pay 129 USD, which was more than half of the regular rates. It was a great way for us to maximize our time in the city without committing to a full day’s stay.
The rooms at Hotel 48LEX are sleek and modern, with comfortable custom-designed beds and marble bathrooms. Our Urban Room had everything we needed, except for free Wi-Fi. But we didn’t mind as we didn’t stay for long.
What about the amenities? There’s a sky-lit fitness center, a business center, and over 151,000 sq ft of meeting space, making it a great option for both leisure and business travelers. On top of that, the hotel’s prime location in Midtown Manhattan, just a few blocks from the Museum of Modern Art and Times Square, made it easy for us to explore all of the city’s attractions.

Best Views. We also got the chance to spend a few hours at Hotel 48LEX New York, and let’s just say it was a blast. This modern high-rise hotel is perfectly located in Midtown East, just a short walk from the Museum of Modern Art and Central Park. This alone should be enough of a reason for you to stay here.
One of the biggest draws of Hotel 48LEX is their hourly rates. We opted for the 10 AM – 2 PM slot, which was over 60% cheaper than their regular rates as we only got to pay 140 USD. For a quick getaway or a productive workspace, this was an excellent value.
Our room was super clean and sleek, with all the amenities we needed. The highlight, though, was the city views. It made us want to spend a few nights there! Though we were at the hotel only for a few hours, we got to enjoy the free light snacks, as it was available all day long. We stayed at The Draper New York for a quick visit to the city and had a great experience. One of the best things about our stay was the hourly rate. At just 89 USD for a 5-hour block, it was a much more affordable option compared to the standard nightly rate of 335 USD. This makes it a great choice for travelers needing a place to rest and freshen up during the day.
We got the Standard King room from 12 PM to 5 PM, and it was super comfortable and stylish, with paintings on the wall in addition to the essentials. You can also use the coffee maker to fulfill your daily caffeine intake. If you want a bit more luxury, you can consider the rooms with balconies and city views. Or, you can also check out these most expensive hotels in Manhattan.
The hotel also has some nice amenities, including a cocktail bar and a lounge with stunning views. We managed to squeeze some time to check out the lounge, and it was a blast. Most Flexible. It’s hard not to love the Hampton Inn Madison Square Garden. This modern hotel is conveniently located near Times Square, making it a great choice for those looking to explore the city’s vibrant entertainment scene. But what sold us was its affordable rate. The hourly rates started at just 85 USD. You can stay for 5 to 8 hours at the hotel between 7 AM and 6 PM.
For our stay, we chose the 11 AM to 4 PM time slot. We got the double standard room and it was everything we wanted. The comfy beds put us to sleep in mere seconds, and we loved how clean everything was.
Though we didn’t have the chance to explore the hotel amenities, it doesn’t mean you can’t. The hotel offers a range of amenities, including a fitness center for gym rats as well as a business center for meetings. And if you spend the night, you can start your morning with a free hot breakfast.

Best Overall. The sophisticated Hyatt Grand Central New York offers a convenient and stylish escape in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. One of the highlights of our stay was the flexibility of the day-use options, which were available from 10 AM to 4 PM as well as 11 AM to 6 PM. The prices started from 159 USD. It might not be the cheapest, but this is one of the best Hyatt hotels in New York City after all.
We chose the second time slot, which provided us with ample time to explore the city and relax in our room before our night flight. The hotel’s location made it easy to access popular attractions like Times Square and the Empire State Building within a short walking distance.
Our Queen Room was sleek and modern, featuring a comfortable bed, a flat-screen TV, Bluetooth speakers, and complimentary Wi-Fi. While we didn’t have a room with a city view, the proximity to Grand Central Station and the vibrant surrounding neighborhood made up for it. For those seeking a more indulgent experience, the hotel offers in-room spa services for an additional fee.
