Winter in Central Indiana, including the capital city of Indianapolis, can be pretty miserable sometimes. That’s why the city has become an expert at making its indoor spaces fantastic retreats from the cold in winter. We’re talking about the number of options for an Indianapolis hotel with a pool in the room. And since ‘pool’ can be quite a wide term, we’re also talking about hot tubs and jacuzzis which, let’s face it, offer a fabulous way to unwind in the comfort of our own room. When we went looking for them, we found a few excellent options for Indy stays, hotels, and B&Bs included, which had everything from whirlpools to an actual pool in the room – yes! So, what are you waiting for? It’s time to make a splash in Indianapolis’ amazing stays that come with pools and hot tubs, which are waiting for you to unwind in them.

Hampton Inn and Suites Indianapolis-Fishers
6
Hampton Inn has always been a dependable chain hotel for us all over the country. However, the Hampton Inn and Suites Indianapolis-Fishers was our favorite by a huge margin. That’s because some of its rooms have jacuzzis right in the very room. Our spacious room, the king studio with a fireplace and a spa bath, was the best in the house. It not only featured a separate seating area with a fireplace right beneath the TV but also an ensuite spa bath just steps from the bed. What was even better was that the bath sat in a separate space with practical flooring, so our carpeted flooring didn’t get wet. Our room, like all others, even had a coffeemaker, a small fridge, a microwave, and an HDTV.
The rest of the hotel was equally great. For one, our days began with a complimentary hot breakfast spread, which fueled us for the rest of the day. There was even an indoor pool where we could cool off on hot days, a fitness center, and free Wi-Fi.

Since shopping was on our minds for our Indianapolis sojourn, we couldn’t think of a better home base than the Hilton Garden Inn Columbus Edinburgh. That’s because it sat right next to the Edinburgh Premium Outlet Mall, which featured excellent shopping prospects. Even then, we were just half an hour from downtown Indianapolis, and the distance from the bustle suited us well.
But what we were truly excited about was the fact that our one-bedroom king suite came with a spa bath – and that too in the room. Firstly, the suite was huge and had lots of foot space. Secondly, the spa bath sat in a separate area with a wet floor in the corner of the room, just steps from the bed. In fact, it faced the TV, so we could actually unwind in the bath while watching our favorite movie, thanks to the thoughtful design. Plus, all rooms, including ours, had plush beds, modern bathrooms, fridges, and microwaves.
Downstairs, we found all the necessary trappings for a good chain hotel, including a gym, an indoor pool area along with a hot tub, and even a snack store.

We have yet another Hilton property on this list; this time, it’s the Hilton Garden Inn Indianapolis South/Greenwood. Located just 15 minutes from downtown, we were close enough to all attractions and yet far away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. We loved the room choices at this hotel, all of which came with free Wi-Fi and plasma-screen TVs. But what we loved the most was that our room, the one-bedroom suite, was a suite in the truest of senses. Not only was it palatial, but also it had a spa bath right in the room. Tucked in a corner of the room and hidden from the front door, the spa bath sat on a wet floor so our carpeted one in the rest of the room didn’t get wet. We appreciated the thoughtful gesture, as well as other mod-cons like coffeemakers, mini-fridges, and microwaves.
Just like other Hilton properties, this one also featured an indoor pool where we could cool off after a long day of exploring the city. Aside from the spacious fitness center, the hotel also had a 24-hour business center and ultra-useful laundry facilities. Finally, the presence of the Great American Grill, which served not only breakfasts but also dinners, ensured that we didn’t even have to step out for food.

Best chain hotel. What we loved about the Baymont by Wyndham Indianapolis is that it felt like a friend’s inviting mountain lodge rather than a hotel! Tucked in Warren Park just east of downtown, this hotel put us just 15 minutes away from downtown. Since we had our own rental car and the free parking space that came along with our reservation at the hotel, we had no hassles at all.
We were rather impressed by the variety and scale of the amenities at this Wyndham hotel. For one, there’s a huge indoor pool area, which rather resembles a modern-day barn. Not only did it have an indoor pool where we’d cool off, but there was also a hot tub and chairs to sit on, along with towels that we could borrow. Those who don’t like skipping workouts will like the onsite fitness center, while the laundry facilities were a blessing for us as we were staying here for a while. The best bit? Even though they didn’t have a restaurant, they served us a hearty breakfast of milk, OJ, tea, coffee, yogurt, muffins, bread pancakes, cereal, sausage, and eggs.
However, it was the spacious rooms that impressed us the most, especially our deluxe king suite which came with a hot tub right in the room. The hot tub, which was huge enough for two, sat in a space separate from the carpeted floor and had a privacy wall too. Not only that, but our suite even came with a balcony which overlooked the indoor pool area space. And not just our suite, but the hotel had a bunch of other rooms and suites that also had hot tubs right in the room. How cool is that!

Best B&B. We had had our share of hotels and were looking for a B&B to stay in Indianapolis. And we were fortunate to have found the Old Northside Bed & Breakfast,
Every inch of this historic luxurious B&B was beautiful and Instagrammable, right from the original artwork to the old-time refurbished furnishings. The hospitality and comfort were off the charts, as our hosts chatted with us nineteen to dozen about everything we could do in Indianapolis. Every morning would begin with a complete breakfast, with hot and cold delights. Thanks to the free Wi-fi access, we were able to plan our itineraries every day.
However, the real gems here were the rooms and suites, of which some even came with private fireplaces, sofas, and spa baths. Our room was one such room, as it had a spa bath right in the room, just steps from the bed. After a long day, we’d run a luxurious bath and spend time with each other in the private luxury of our own room. Unique decor and luxury beds are featured in all rooms, nevertheless. Did we mention the 24-hour snack bar with movie rentals, refreshments, and free popcorn? Yes!

Most romantic. There’s no way Sybaris Pool Suites wouldn’t have featured in the list of the best pool-in-the-room hotels in the city. However, this wasn’t your typical hotel with a tub in the room; we’re talking about actual pool suites – yes!
“No one does romance better than Sybaris!”
WOW Travel
We’re talking about the Paradise, Majestic, and Chalet swimming pool suites, all of which boasted an actual plunge swimming pool right through a pair of glass doors in the room, just steps from the bed. In fact, the Chalet suite was a two-storied marvel, but the Paradise suite was enough for the two of us. Moreover, we didn’t have just a private swimming pool, but it even had a cascading waterfall a tropical steam room, and a soothing whirlpool tub right next to it! After a plunge, we’d sprawl in the relaxing massage chair or settle in front of the cozy fireplace, wine glasses in hand. Without windows or phones, there was no better way to cut off from the world.
We left this haven just to eat food, and with a plethora of restaurants around, we didn’t have a problem with that either.

Where to Stay in Indianapolis?
The polished and vibrant Indianapolis is a traveler’s delight, whether you’re a foodie, a culture vulture, or even someone who’s looking for fabulous nightlife. As first-timers, we stayed in the Mile Square area, which was very convenient as it’s the bustling city center. What’s more, it was also home to some of the city’s top sights and attractions, including Lockerbie Square, Indianapolis’ oldest surviving neighborhood.
Secondly, we have what is the coolest place in Indianapolis, the eccentric neighborhood of Fountain Square. It’s home to infinitely cool eateries, cafes, and galleries, which we loved exploring, and also a buzzing nightlife. Then, there’s Fletcher Place, which is a cool mix of historic structures, nightlife, and parties. Finally, we have the Broad Ripple area, which is all about greenery and tranquility, making it perfect for families.
