Moab has to be among your top destinations if you want a truly memorable escape. We love visiting this city not only because of its stunning red rocks but also because of its history and culture. But with so much to explore, choosing the right place to stay is crucial. Enter Marriott hotels in Moab. Though there are only 3 Marriott hotels in the city, they all provided us with the perfect base camp for our explorations. Our favorite, though was the SpringHill Suites. SpringHill Suites by Marriott Moab
Near the national parks
Among all Marriott Moab UT hotels, the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Moab is our favorite because of its convenient location. It was the best base camp for us to explore Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. The closest hotel to these amazing natural wonders, we saved precious time on travel each day.
Sure, the hotel sits right off Highway 191 in a rocky area, but the views of the surrounding landscape were pretty cool. Plus, the Colorado River was practically our backyard. It was neat to have such a scenic backdrop while still being just a short drive from the shops and restaurants of downtown Moab.

Gym, pools, and basketball court
The SpringHill Suites by Marriott Moab sure doesn’t hold anything back when it comes to amenities. First, it boasts a 24/7 gym, allowing us to get a workout in no matter when. It had a great selection of both cardio and strength-training equipment, too.
After our workouts, it was nice to cool down and relax by the pool. The outdoor pool was heated, which was a huge plus. Additionally, this hotel also caters to families as it features a separate children’s pool. The hotel also provided us with towels at both the pool and whirlpool, so we didn’t have to worry about packing extras.
And for those traveling with sporty teenagers or adults who are young at heart, there’s an outdoor basketball court to shoot some hoops.
“The on-site amenities were awesome. We never felt bored throughout our stay.”

Dining options
Though there was no on-site restaurant at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Moab, it still provided us with a hearty breakfast every morning. It had a good variety of options, and we especially loved the fresh strawberry compote.
The good thing is, there are some restaurants in the hotel’s vicinity. The closest one we could find was the Sandbar Lounge Moab. We tried its burgers and fries, and they tasted fantastic. We also made sure to order its signature cocktails. With good food and views of the Colorado River, we highly recommend going here.
If you’re feeling a bit more adventurous, check out Antica Forma. It’s a little further away from the hotel, but the pizza is worth the drive. It makes its cheese fresh daily and uses imported flour and tomatoes from Italy, so it truly tastes like you’re eating pizza right on the streets of Naples.

Cozy suite
What made our stay at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Moab even better was our King Suite. At 383 sq ft, it was so big and comfy. Our suite was everything we ever wished for. It had a separate bedroom with a king-sized bed, a bathroom with a big bathtub, and a sofa bed for those quick naps. We also loved having mountain views from the window. They were a constant reminder of the beautiful scenery surrounding the hotel. Also, having a separate seating area and wardrobe was a big plus. It allowed us to unpack and spread out a bit, making the suite feel even more like a home away from home.

Pet-friendly stay
By the way, have we told you that the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Moab also welcomes four-legged companions? This was a huge plus for us since we came with our lovely little dog. Though he wasn’t allowed in public areas like the pool (obviously), we were glad the staff members treated our dog well. He was wagging his tail 24/7! There’s a small fee that pet owners have to pay, which ranges from 50 to 100 USD, depending on the length of their stay. Also, your pet must be under 100 lbs and only two can stay in the same room.
