Are you packing for a trip to Moab? We have preceded you to enjoy the endless pleasure offered by this wonderful small city. We went there a million times, however, our favorite trips were those with accommodations in cabins or motels in Moab UT. Moab is an adventurous city where we were out most of the time exploring nature. Such a city needs a humble accommodation with direct access to the streets. Thus, we prefer motels over other accommodation types in Moab. Moreover, most of Moab’s tourist attractions aren’t within walking distance from the city center where accommodation venues and properties are scattered. So, we usually rent a car for the period of our trip. Again, motels make the best choice to park our car in the free parking offered by most motels there.
Perched in eastern Utah, this desert mountainous paradise isn’t a place to miss. It’s home to Canyonlands and Arches National Parks where many activities await. From biking to hiking and mountain climbing, there is no time to rest. But before you jump into this adventurous playground, check this review of the best motels to make the best of your trip.

Red Stone Inn
11
Red Stone Inn is a nice small inn where we had a comfortable stay even without top-notch amenities. It was a very simple stay in a property that included an air-conditioned room with a fridge, microwave, and a coffee machine. The furniture was so simple, not modern though, we had an unforgettable experience there. Surrounded by red mountains, the property had a gorgeous view from the room’s window. Sipping our morning coffee while watching the sunrise was splendid.
While it doesn’t have the fancy experience some travelers look for in other hotels, it has everything needed for a home-like experience. We had free parking for our car (it’s a must for the best experience in Moab). Plus, we could have our dog with us on this trip. Best of all, there was a hot tub to relax our muscles after long tiring trips Moab is known for. If you want a luxurious experience, you need to check this review of the best resorts in Moab.

Motel 6-Green River

This time, we decided to stay in a farther property. It’s one of the motels near Moab named Motel 6-Green River. As the name suggests, it’s located near the Green River with lots of things to love about. This property has different room types with options enough to accommodate four adults. It has a seasonal swimming pool which was appealing to us as we sometimes wanted to spend some time in the venue. Instead of staying inside our room, the swimming pool was a good option.
Our room was so comfortable with simple furniture. We woke up every morning to relish the beautiful sun rays penetrating our room from the small window. These were the best moments in our day. The best bit was the on-site launderette service and vending machines. The free parking wrapped up the facilities we had there. With such an affordable rate, we were so satisfied, a great bargain though!

We were charmed by the Inca Inn Moab motel. This is a hidden gem for those looking for the best Moab Utah motels. The bedrooms have modern furnishing with some wood touches to leverage the rustic mountainous style of the town. We had a fridge and a microwave inside our room. No need for an oven as we were very close to many restaurants. Further, we had breakfast inside the motel. It was very mouthwatering, especially the sausages and scrambled eggs.
We felt at home in this humble motel. What made our stay better was the friendly hosts of the house. They were keen on leaving the best impressions by helping us all the time. If you want to enjoy the outdoor atmosphere, the restaurant has an outdoor area. It’s directly on the street offering quick access to the points of interest. Our daily routine was filling our stomachs with delicious breakfast and sipping our coffee, then, heading directly towards our adventures.

We treated ourselves and our dog to the most in The Virginian Inn. It’s a nice motel with modern furnishing and equipment to make you feel at home. The main feature we’re looking for at any property of this style is cleanliness. This venue checked the box and all the rooms and bathrooms were spotless. We also had a very good coffee machine inside our room. We didn’t have to seek coffee shops outside as the machine made great coffee.
The location is at the heart of the town. We had our car parked in the private parking of the motel. So, we could reach locations easily. It was a few minutes’ drive from Canyonlands National Park where we spent most of our time. Further, Arches National Park was less than five miles away. Do you see how convenient this location is? Despite this location, it was far enough from the main street, so, it wasn’t noisy as we were afraid of.

Questioning where to stay in Moab yields many results including hotels, lodges, and resorts. We wanted something offbeat, so, we chose Adventure Inn. Not only it’s located at the heart of the city, but also it has good facilities for our convenience. It was the most ideal choice for our needs. Let’s first talk about our room and what it includes. It had a large comfy bed, a coffee machine, and a fridge. We found free toiletries in the bathroom. They were of good quality.
Further, the motel had a nice garden to enjoy snacks or hot drinks at. It also had private parking for guests with cars like us. The location of the property made it easy for us to shop for our needs and find local restaurants to eat at. The first day was the exploration day. We explored the area and spotted some shops and restaurants for the following days. Later, we spent every morning at one of the nearby national parks enjoying the off-road experience there.
“A value-for-money option for us. A clean room and complimentary decent breakfast. Drinks are available all day from the vending machine on-site. All of these feature in this motel at a great location. The perfect stay described.”

Best accommodation options. HTR Motel is one of the amazing motels in Moab UT. It has a superb location; a perfect spot between Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. When we first entered the motel, we were wowed by the simple, yet clean, lounge and rooms. It offered different accommodation types including basic rooms, studios with a kitchen, houses with a bedroom and a living area, shared bathroom rooms, and tents. These different accommodation options are made to meet different people’s needs according to their budgets. We stayed in a studio with a private bathroom and a kitchen. The furniture was basic but we were satisfied.
The kitchen wasn’t as we expected. We didn’t think it would include modern equipment but surprisingly, it was very well-equipped. There was a stovetop, a microwave, a fridge, and all the kitchenware we needed to prepare different meals. Pets were allowed in this motel which was a big plus. Rounding up the features there, we had an amazing view of the mountains and trees from our room’s patio.

Staying at the River Canyon Lodge was one of the best decisions we made. This motel is located in the center of Moab. We could reach various locations easily. It’s soaked between mountains in a vivid area that has lots of shops and restaurants. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They helped us discover Moab and its hidden gems. At night, we used the BBQ facilities to cook a mouth-watering dinner and enjoy our moments in this cozy place.

Best location. Look at this different motel with rustic vibes, it’s the Rustic Inn. Being one of the highly-rated Moab Utah motels, we decided to stay there for a couple of nights to see if it was worth it or not. We believe this motel is the best for those looking for the nearest location to popular tourist spots. It’s a walking distance from Moab’s main street. This meant we could use public transportation easily although we had a car. If you’re visiting Moab and you have your vehicle, no worries, there is free private parking there.
We stayed in a standard double room with two large beds and a kitchen. All units there have a kitchen with basic equipment and kitchen utensils. Our room had a TV, free WiFi, two chairs, and a clean bathroom. We loved the warm lights of the room and the rustic decor. They offered free tea and coffee at the reception. Every day, we had food at a different restaurant recommended by the staff. They had very good recommendations.
The motel seemed like part of the mountains behind. Its rustic design and wooden structure blended seamlessly with the surrounding nature. Do you want to relax without leaving the venue? After staying in the Bowen Motel, we believe we couldn’t have been more satisfied with our trip. This motel knows how to make its guests relaxed and let them enjoy the city’s thrill as well. It has a perfect location to reach National Parks and enjoy their beautiful landscapes easily. Plus, it has good rates and it’s located at the heart of the town instead of staying in motels near Moab Utah to save money. To save more, you can explore some cabins for rent in Moab.
Back to our motel, we booked a house for eight adults. There are other options for larger groups but a three-bedroom house was the ideal option for us. We loved our house; the furniture, the clean bathroom, and best of all, the mountain views. Moreover, our best moments were cozying up around the dining table on the patio outside. Do you want more entertainment options? There was an outdoor pool in the venue. But don’t waste all your time there. Where to Stay in Moab, Utah?
Moab, the town, is very small. Yet, it’s full of hotels, motels, resorts, and other accommodation options. We tried many of these venues scattered in different areas in Moab. Here are our top recommendations. If you want easy access to everything from shops, galleries, eateries, etc. then, stay in one of the properties around the town’s main street. There are many options, either in the north such as the Inca Inn and Motel, or near the city center like The Virginian Inn. In both cases, you’ll find everything you need around.
Towards the south, we found other great motels and hotels. They’re closer to the Canyonlands National Park and they offer more natural sceneries and picturesque views. These are also worthy options if you want some distance from the town. To immerse yourself in Moab, the desert camp, then you should stay in a safari-style campground or tent available in the main National Parks there. Here is our list of our favorite campgrounds in Moab, Utah.

The most known spots are Arches and Canyonlands National Parks where tourists can enjoy different experiences there. Other activities include off-roading trips, rafting, biking, mountain climbing, hiking, and hot air balloon rides.
