However, when discussing our numerous visits to NOLA, the New Orleans Marriott at Lakeway immediately became part of our conversation. This hotel is that good. No, it’s not the most luxurious one in the city, but it does offer a special, luxurious experience that only its guests can understand. Want a glimpse of this hotel? Think tranquility, lake view, airy bedrooms, huge spaces, and unparalleled service. Get ready to experience New Orleans like no other at this fantastic hotel!

Easy access to everything

We think everyone can agree that one of the most significant selling points of New Orleans Marriott Metairie is its location. It allowed us to be close to everything we wanted to see and do in the city. Being minutes from the excitement of the downtown and the French Quarter was perfect for soaking up the city’s vibe. Plus, having easy access to Louis Armstrong International Airport made our arrival and departure a breeze.

Another perk? The beautiful views of Lake Pontchartrain right from the hotel. Waking up to a lake view was always delightful. Although the hotel is in Metairie’s Central Business District, which offers a blend of classic architecture and modern touches, it isn’t far from cultural attractions. We were only 6 mi from the New Orleans Museum of Art and 7 mi from the Longue Vue House and Gardens. Overall, the location was a win-win for us!

200+ spotless and modern rooms

Aside from the location, we were also impressed by the variety of rooms available at New Orleans Marriott Metairie. With 220 rooms and suites, choosing the perfect accommodation wasn’t easy for us. However, we ended up picking the one-bedroom suite. Ours came with stunning vistas of Lake Pontchartrain, and we couldn’t ask for anything better. But honestly, no matter which room we picked, we knew we were in for a comfortable stay. Also, the bathroom was immaculately clean!

This hotel’s rooms are outfitted with luxurious bedding, including down comforters, custom duvets, and cotton-rich linens. Sounds like the perfect recipe for a perfect night’s sleep, right? Craving satisfied

Though New Orleans Marriott Metairie doesn’t boast many dining options, we didn’t find it an issue. That was because we could always rely on Bistreaux Metairie to spoil our stomachs. This on-site restaurant is an excellent choice for a sit-down meal. It focuses on using local ingredients and chef-crafted Southern dishes. Everything we had was fantastic, but we especially loved the crab cakes served with a creamy tomato sauce. Make sure to order that!

Need your daily dose of caffeine? Just go to The Market! This was a convenient option for us to grab a quick bite or a coffee. It also has Starbucks available, along with light snacks, breakfast, and lunch items you can take on the go.

Fitness and meeting

Marriott has a Fitness Zone for those who like to stay active. We appreciate this 24/7 facility as we can squeeze in a quick workout anytime. We were glad the gym, albeit not huge, had everything we needed, from cardio to free weight equipment. Whether you’re looking for a quick cardio session or a more strength-focused routine, the Fitness Zone has you covered.

Furthermore, business travelers will appreciate the New Orleans Marriott Metairie‘s extensive meeting facilities. With 10 event rooms and over 8,650 sq ft of total event space, the hotel can accommodate various meeting sizes. The largest space can hold up to 200 people, while the 6 breakout rooms are ideal for smaller group sessions or brainstorming meetings.

We didn’t have high expectations for the hotel’s service. But wow, were we surprised by the New Orleans Marriott Metairie? From the moment we pulled up, we were met with friendly faces. The valet was incredibly helpful, taking care of our car quickly and offering restaurant recommendations.

The good vibes continued at the front desk. The staff was sweet and genuinely seemed happy to help us with anything. They answered all our questions patiently and even gave us some insider tips on exploring the city. It felt like they really cared about making our stay enjoyable, a stark contrast to the robotic service we received at some hotels. It’s safe to say that the service here was one of the highlights of our stay.

• Though it doesn’t feature those extra fancy amenities, guests can still take advantage of the modern gym, on-site restaurant and bar, as well as meeting facilities.

• Sadly, there’s no swimming pool on-site.
