Sonesta ES Suites Allentown Bethlehem Airport
11
If there’s one word that can describe our experience of staying at the Sonesta ES Suites Allentown Bethlehem Airport, it’s convenience. Not only is the hotel’s location super ideal for guests traveling by plane, but the hotel also has so many fantastic benefits that just keep on coming.
For one, the hotel’s pet policy is beyond generous. Thanks to their PAWS (Pets Are Welcome at Sonesta) program, we got to stay here with our two dogs for days without a hassle. Even better, there was no pet size restriction, and our dogs were given dog beds, bowls, waterproof mats, and treats. Granted, there’s a $75 pet fee, but it covers up to a 7-night stay, and $25/week after that. All in all, it’s a good deal since the hotel’s environment and hospitality will make you want to extend your stay here.
That said, the hotel has all-suite guestrooms, which come with a fully-equipped kitchen, and a sitting and dining area. As pet parents staying with our two dogs, the spacious suite was perfect for us, and our dogs got room to settle in.
Furthermore, the hotel isn’t lacking in the facilities department either. We especially loved their outdoor area, where we could take our dogs for a walk, or relax by the picnic area. There’s also a pool, a fitness center, and BBQ facilities. On top of it, we also got to enjoy a complimentary buffet breakfast every morning before exploring Allentown.

Red Roof Inn Allentown South

Best Hotel With No Pet Fee. Red Roof Inn Allentown South is our go-to budget hotel with satisfactory amenities and hospitality. It may not be smack dabbed in the middle of downtown Allentown, but it’s only a 10-minute ride. Plus, there’s a nearby park in the area and a shaded trail perfect for walking your dog or jogging. Also, the hotel is right on the I-78 exit, so it’s very convenient for guests traveling by car.
As for the hotel’s pet policy, it’s as fantastic as their lodging. Their inclusive pet policy includes welcoming cats and dogs up to 80 lb with no pet fee. Now, we ourselves are fans of anything free, so the hotel not charging extra pet fees immediately puts them on top of our list.
Furthermore, we can always count on any Red Roof Inn for comfort. Our guestroom, for instance, was very clean and pristine. While it wasn’t the most spacious, we were still comfortable with our cat in tow. The room also comes with a microwave and a fridge among other amenities. All in all, our experience was great and we have nothing to complain about.
If you love this hotel, we’re sure you’ll also love the Red Roof Inn Hershey. It’s one of the best pet-friendly hotels in Hershey, PA, and it’s less than two hours away from Allentown.

Comfort Inn Lehigh Valley West
9
Comfort Inn Lehigh Valley West is located near I-78 and Route 100, so naturally it becomes a convenient road trip stop. While staying at this Allentown pet friendly hotel, we also got to check out nearby attractions like Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, and Crystal Cave Park. Plus, with hotels having such a lax and welcoming pet policy, it’s no wonder it’s so popular among pet parents. They don’t discriminate between cats and dogs, no weight limits, and each room is allowed a max of two pets. Granted, there’s a $25 pet fee per night, but after that, it’s only $5 for each additional night.
Beyond that, it’s just apparent that the hotel is not only pet-friendly, but also pet-loving. The staff were all very accommodating and ensured our dog was always comfortable. They also gave us a room on the ground floor for easy access to the potty area and provided waste bags. Our room was nice and tidy, the bed was comfy and we got amenities like a coffee maker, a fridge, and a microwave.
If that wasn’t great enough, pets are also permitted to be left in the room, provided they are well-trained and well-behaved. That way we got to enjoy some of the hotel’s facilities like having delectable cocktails at the Comfort Lounge or breaking a sweat at the fitness center. It also meant we got to feast on the hotel’s breakfast buffet without fussing over our dog.

Sleep Inn Allentown-Fogelsville

Sleep Inn Allentown-Fogelsville may be your standard chain hotel, but it sure does the job as one of the best pet friendly hotels in Allentown Pennsylvania. When we got there, the staff immediately made us and our puppy feel welcome. They helped us have a smooth check-in and promptly escorted us to our room. It also helped that the hotel’s pet policy was so straightforward: a maximum of two pets per room, and both cats and dogs up to 50lbs are welcome in the hotel. There was also a $25/night pet fee, which is pretty standard for the area.
Furthermore, the hotel’s exemplary hospitality extends to the amenities we got in our room. Even though we only had our puppy with us, the room seemed spacious enough for two medium-sized dogs. Plus, for our convenience, we were provided with cable TV, a microwave, and a mini-fridge.
That said, our pet didn’t get much in terms of amenities, but the hotel’s well-manicured green area was a “green” flag in our book. We’d often hang out at the hotel’s patio and let our dog meander around and play in the spacious park-like space. Lastly, since our pet was allowed unattended in the room, we got ample time to indulge in the free breakfast, check out the nearby dining options, and use the fitness facility.

Ramada by Wyndham Whitehall/Allentown

One thing about the Ramada by Wyndham Whitehall/Allentown, is that they got all the things we needed for a comfortable stay with our dogs. For one, we were able to bring our chunky dog with us as their pet policy allows dogs of any size for a $50 pet fee per pet/night. While cats were unfortunately not permitted, their hotel’s hospitality towards our dogs (and us, of course) was excellent. They didn’t overcomplicate the check-in process and even gave our dog a treat for being such a good boy.
Furthermore, the hotel’s overall vibe was chill enough. Everything was modern, clean, and well-maintained. As a national-chain hotel, we expected things to be pristine and got exactly that. The additional facilities like the outdoor pool, fitness center, and free breakfast were neat. As for our room, it was nice and spacious. We loved the red and white combo of the furnishing, plus, the wooden floor was convenient to clean after our dog.
Other than that, we loved that the hotel had so much green space to take our dog for walks. There was even a walking trail next to the hotel. That said, when we wanted to venture to downtown Allentown, it only took less than five minutes by car. As for nearby attractions, the Leigh Valley Mall is just down the road.

Sonesta Select Allentown Bethlehem Airport

Nestled on the outskirts of the airport, the Sonesta Select Allentown Bethlehem Aiport‘s location couldn’t be more ideal. To top it off, their pet-friendly policy left guests swarming the hotel. It’s quite popular since the hotel Pets Are Welcome at Sonesta (PAWS) program doesn’t only open its doors to pets, but also shower them with pet amenities. Our dog was so excited meeting with other furry buddies at the hotel
That said, the pet-friendly accommodation does come with a pet fee. For our one dog, we were charged $75 per stay, although technically the fee covers two dogs/cats of any size. Furthermore, the hotel’s pet-friendly hospitality extends to providing us with an excellent room near the exit for convenience. And if the pristine room filled with generous amenities wasn’t great enough, the staff also included a dog bed, bowls, waterproof mats, and treats in the room.
Moreover, the hotel has quite an outdoor space. It was well-manicured with seating areas and a firepit. It was our favorite place to hang out with our dog. Other than that the indoor pool and fitness center were a nice addition to the hotel’s facilities. We also loved that the hotel serves complimentary breakfast. Lastly, if the hotel ran out of pet-friendly rooms, you could just check across the street for vacancies at the Sonesta ES Allentown Bethlehem Airport.

Home2 Suites By Hilton Allentown Bethlehem Airport

Best Hotel for Feline Pets. The Home2 Suites by Hilton Allentown Bethlehem Airport is yet another pet friendly hotel in Allentown PA that’s located near the airport. It has all the qualities we’d expect from a Hilton Group Hotel. Everything was super clean-cut, modern, and pristine. We especially liked the splash of colors in the furniture. It set the perfect cheery vibe for our vacation.
Most importantly, the hotel’s pet-friendly policy is what brought us here. As one of the few hotels in the area that allows cats, we could stay with our cat without any fuss. The policy allows a maximum of two pets (cats or dogs) up to 70 lbs for an additional fee of $75 per stay, plus a $250 one-time cleaning fee.
Although the pet fee is on the pricier side, the world-renowned hospitality made it worth it. The friendly staff ensured our cat was comfortable and placed us in a room with plenty of sunlight for our cat to bask in. The room had ample space, amenities, and a sitting area. The hotel also offers many extra amenities like free breakfasts, an indoor pool, a fitness center, and a patio for lounging and relaxing.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Allentown-West/Fogelsville

Located west of Allentown, close to Fogelsville, Homewood Suites by Hilton Allentown-West/Fogelsville is the perfect hotel for guests planning a trip to the Bear Creek Mountain ski area. For us, however, it was the ideal place to enjoy a slow and laid-back vacation with our dog, thanks to its unique and cozy atmosphere.
Though the hotel is near the highway, its surroundings are lush and green, creating a secluded retreat vibe. The hotel offers a range of facilities to enjoy without leaving the premises. The patio, for example, is perfect for relaxing and watching sunsets. We often used the BBQ facilities and ordered wine from the hotel’s restaurant to maximize our enjoyment. Additionally, the hotel features a basketball court, an indoor pool, and a fitness center.
Regarding hospitality, we couldn’t be happier. The staff were attentive, ensuring we and our dog were well taken care of. Our suite was perfectly comfortable, complete with a kitchen and many other amenities. With the pet-friendly policy, our dog could join us for a pet fee of only $75 per stay. If you’re traveling with two pets (cats or dogs), this hotel is an excellent choice.

Hyatt House Allentown-Lehigh Valley

Our recent stay at the Hyatt House Allentown-Lehigh Valley was an exceptional experience. Named one of the top Allentown pet friendly hotels, it is conveniently located off I-78 and the Route 222 Bypass, providing easy access to eastern Pennsylvania’s scenic locales.
Location aside, we always appreciated the hotel’s modern, clean, and comfortable environment that Hyatt House is known for. Though, it’s the hotel’s pet policy that drew us in. They allow up to two dogs weighing up to 50 lbs for an additional fee of $75 per pet, per stay. Unfortunately, cats aren’t allowed, and pets can’t be left unattended in the rooms. Despite this, our dogs seemed to enjoy the stay as much as we did. She especially loved our walking sessions around the hotel’s green area.
Furthermore, we got no notes for the hotel’s impeccable guestroom. Ours was particularly spacious and well-appointed, with a fully equipped kitchen and cozy living area. The hotel’s amenities, including an indoor pool, a fitness center, and an on-site restaurant, also added to our comfort. We also appreciated the freebies like free breakfasts and free parking, which we found neat.
That said, however comfortable the hotel made us want to stay here day in and out, the nearby attractions had us exploring Allentown. With the hotel being close to sites like Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, the Crayola Crayons Factory, and Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, we just had to check them out.

Best Hotel for An Extended Stay. The Staybridge Suites Allentown Airport Lehigh Valley is ideal for an extended stay. They have all the facilities we need to feel at home, complete with our dogs in tow. The suite room was one of the hotel’s standout features. Some might say the beige theme is basic, but we found it cozy and welcoming. The room’s amenities, like the seating area and fully equipped kitchen, would entice anyone regardless of the color scheme.
While our suite was perfect for lounging, the hotel’s “outdoor living room” beckoned us. It’s complete with comfortable seating, a fire pit, and grills, so our hangout sessions often lasted until the evening. Since we had our dog with us, enjoying the hotel’s outdoor patio was beneficial for both us and our furry pal. The hotel’s happy hours also allowed us to indulge in complimentary wine and meet new friends. Additionally, the hotel offers extra facilities like a laundromat, storage areas, a fitness center, and more.
“Our dog was so comfortable staying here, she might’ve even though we moved. 10/10 would totally reccomend.”
WOW Travel
All these amenities and facilities are excellent, but the pet-friendly policy truly stands out. The hotel allows two pets (cats or dogs) up to 80 lbs for an additional fee of $100 per stay. So better make the most of your extended stay here!

Where To Stay in Allentown, PA, with Your Pet
Finding the best areas to stay with our pets while traveling to a new place can be challenging. Sometimes we’d plan for specific activities but couldn’t find any pet-friendly hotels in the area, so we had to make do. That said, in Allentown, while most of the pet-friendly hotels weren’t located in central Allentown, they were near highways and interstates, so we could easily travel around.
The places we mostly stayed at were Bethlehem, Lehigh Valley, and Fogelsville areas as that’s where most pet-friendly hotels are. While it’s not exactly downtown Allentown, there were still exciting things to do in the area. Fogelsville, for example, has the famous family-friendly Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park, and it’s also close to Grange Park, our go-to place to take our dog for a stroll. Bethlehem is convenient since it’s close to the airport. Lehigh Valley is home to a family favorite, Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom.
That said, downtown Allentown is still the most ideal location to stay with your pets. It’s the heart of the town, so naturally, most of the entertainment and cute local shops and restaurants are here. You can’t miss out on strolling around the Historic Old Town, checking out the Farmers Market, and maybe if you’re lucky, catching a hockey game at the PPL Center in downtown Allentown.
