Choosing Boise, Idaho, for a vacation with our pets proves to be an excellent decision on our part. Our stay here was nothing but satisfying. Boise, as it turned out, had so many things to offer. As the capital city of Idaho, this city is brimming with tourist attractions. The breweries, for one, are unbeatable. Downtown Boise is basically packed with pet-friendly breweries and restaurants. Not to mention, parks are also in abundance in this city, with Ann Morrison Park being one of our faves and the Boise Botanical Garden a close second. But before we get too excited and ramble on, here’s our promised list of the top 11 pet-friendly hotels in Boise to browse.

Residence Inn by Marriott Boise Downtown City Center

We’ve been to a couple of Residence Inn in our travels, so we’re confident that they will take good care of us and our pets. That’s why we’re starting this list with the trusted Residence Inn by Marriott Boise Downtown City Center. It’s located in the center of the city, so going around won’t be an issue. We’re always guaranteed a comfortable stay here. The services and hospitality are impeccable. And lastly, they cater to furry guests, too, so when we pulled up with our furball of a cat, the staff greeted us with nothing but smiles and enthusiasm.

Furthermore, the pet policy at the hotel was quite standard for us. The $100 pet fee per stay covers two pets with no size restriction. Plus, unlike most hotels that only allow for either dogs or cats, this Residence Inn welcomes both. So, for us feline parents, it was a no-brainer to stay here.

Moreover, the facilities at the hotel were fantastic. There was an indoor pool, a fitness center, and a rooftop lounge where we would hang out. The guest room we got was also squeaky clean, with ample amenities. There was a lot of sunlight, which our cat loved. And as for us, the sofa was a great place to laze around.

This time, for convenient reasons, we decided to look for a hotel near the airport and stumbled upon Comfort Inn and Suites Boise Airport. The hotel was just less than 5 minutes from the airport and conveniently less than 10 minutes to downtown Boise.

Other than the location, the hotel also excels in its hospitality. As for pet parents like us, the hotel welcomes cats and dogs warmly. For only an extra fee of $15/pet per night, we were allowed to bring two pets weighing a maximum of 80 lbs. Furthermore, since we had two dogs with us, a spacious guest room was much needed, so we opted to stay at one of the hotel’s suites. To our delight, the room was big enough for us to be comfortable and came with all sorts of amenities. The couch, for one, quickly became our dog’s fave spot.

Moreover, when not hanging out in our room, we head to the indoor pool or the fitness center. We also mostly walk our dogs to the nearby Shoshone Park or bike along the river bank using the hotel’s free bikes.

Hyatt Place Boise/Towne Square

Staying in Hyatt Place Boise/Towne Square was a lot of fun, especially since the hotel is less than 5 minutes from Boise Aquarium and Towne Square, Idaho’s biggest mall. Plus, driving to downtown Boise only takes about 10 minutes.

Furthermore, thanks to the hotel’s considerate pet policy, we were able to leave our well-trained dog unattended in the room and check out all those spots. But before we get to that, the pet policy also includes allowing 1 dog weighing 50 lbs and a combined 75 lbs for 2 dogs. As for the pet fee, it was $75 per stay for both dogs and an extra $100 if you stay for longer than 6 days.

Now, in terms of services and hospitality, the hotel isn’t lacking in that either. When we got to the hotel, the friendly staff gifted our dog with treats, and we were enthused about having him as a guest. The room we had was comfy and had a couch. For potty situations, conveniently, we got some waste bags from the staff, and there was a green area by the hotel. Lastly, the on-site indoor pool and free parking were facilities that added to the quality of staying here.

Oxford Suites Boise

Best Location. Oxford Suites Boise is a popular pet-friendly hotel in town since it’s just off the I-80. As one of the pet parents traveling across states by car, this hotel became the ideal place to stay while visiting Boise. Plus, it’s close to the freeway, and the hotel is only 15 minutes away from the restos and breweries in downtown Boise.

Furthermore, comfort is one of our biggest priorities, especially when traveling with our dog, and Oxford Suites Boise didn’t disappoint. The staff goes above and beyond to guarantee our comfort. And it’s apparent they’ve catered plenty of furry guests before. Their pet policy includes allowing a maximum of two pets, both cats and dogs, per room. While there’s a pet fee of $29/pet per night, there’s no size restriction. Moreover, in terms of facilities, this hotel has a pool, a stellar complimentary breakfast, an EV charging station, and many more.

In addition, the pet-friendly rooms are all on the ground floor, which makes it easier to take our dogs outside for potty breaks. And if that wasn’t considerate enough, our dog got a goody bag with treats and collapsible bowls waiting for him in our room.

SpringHill Suites by Marriott Boise Park Center

Another one of our highlights in Boise was staying in SpringHill Suites by Marriott Boise Park Center. The hotel is located in Southeast Boise, which is more of a suburban area, but plenty of nature surrounds it. Park Center was only a few minutes away, and we got to hike a bit in the area, with Idaho Botanical Garden being our finish line. And we really took advantage of the hotel’s bike rentals.

That aside, the hotel was a lovely place to stay at. We brought one dog with us, and she had the best of times. The staff was thrilled to have her as a guest and showered her with treats and high-fives. Furthermore, the pet policy suited us perfectly. The hotel is inclusive of both cats and dogs, allowing a maximum of two of each pet per room. There was no size restriction. However, there’s a pet fee of $50 per pet per night. It may be on the pricier side, but the hotel’s services made it worth it. Plus, the hotel was considerate enough to put all pet-friendly rooms on the first floor for easier access to the green area.

Moreover, since well-behaved pets were permitted to be unattended in the room, we were able to enjoy the hotel’s many facilities. The outdoor pool quickly became our favorite spot, with the hotel’s bar being a close second.

Looking for hotels in the downtown area is always our first step when traveling around, and this time, Hampton Inn and Suites Boise-Downtown caught our attention. For one, the location is an obvious highlight, and the pet policy wasn’t much of a hassle.

For starters, the hotel doesn’t only allow dogs; cats are also warmly welcomed. And as feline parents ourselves, we had no trouble pulling up. As we got there, the staff was very attentive to our needs. They didn’t bother our cat much in her crate but waved her a hello. Other than that, they explained the hotel’s pet policy to us. The $50 pet fee covers two pets for 4 nights, and for longer than that, it goes to $75.

Furthermore, in terms of our guestroom, it was pretty much to our taste. It was spacious and had a view of the city. The bed was extra plush, and our cat immediately made the settee by the window her territory. Other than that, everything was neat, and we were perfectly comfortable.

Another pet-friendly hotel in downtown Boise that we got to check out was the Home2 Suites By Hilton Boise Downtown. This hotel was a safe choice for us since we’ve been to plenty of Home2 Suites in other cities with our pets. And to our delight, this one in Boise was just as pleasant as any other Home2 Suites Hotel.

We were familiar with their pet policy, so that’s another comfort for us. But for first-time goers, the hotel does allow pet dogs and cats. Each room is allowed a maximum of two pets with no size restrictions. There’s a $50 pet fee that covers a 4-night stay and a $75 for longer than that.

Beyond that, their hospitality and facilities were also a highlight for us. The guestroom we had, for starters, was excellent. It was spacious and clean and had plenty of amenities, including a couch that our pup loved. The hotel’s facilities were also a banger. They had an indoor pool, a fitness center, EV charging stations, and free breakfasts. Our favorite spot in the hotel, other the our room, was the patios where we would have a lazy afternoon with our dog.

Best Atmosphere. The Riverside Hotel, BW Premier Collection, tops our list of favorite pet-friendly accommodations. It meets all our criteria for an ideal stay with our pet, offering excellent services, hospitality, and impeccable vibes. Situated just outside downtown with a scenic riverfront view, the hotel exudes a resort-like atmosphere, even earning a spot in our most romantic hotels in Boise list.

We were able to bring our beloved dog for a reasonable pet fee of $50 per pet and a maximum weight limit of 125 lbs. While suite rooms weren’t available for pet parents, the standard king-sized room we chose was incredibly comfortable, featuring ample amenities, a balcony, and a chaise lounge. All pet-friendly rooms are conveniently located on the ground floor.

The welcoming staff, who even provided treats for our dog, added to the positive experience. Notable facilities included fabulous saltwater pools with temperature control (outdoor and indoor with a jacuzzi and sauna) and extra amenities like shuttle services, complimentary breakfast, EV charging stations, bike rentals, and more. Not to mention the numerous on-site restaurants that we got to check out. This hotel truly ensured we had everything we needed in one place. On our next trip to Boise, we’re definitely bringing our cat to enjoy this luxury as well.

The Hilton Garden Inn Boise Downtown is a very sleek and modern-looking pet-friendly hotel located in the city center. Like most Hilton hotels we’ve been to, this one didn’t disappoint in providing us with quality service and hospitality. And since the hotel allows a maximum of two pets, we were able to bring our two dogs with us on this trip.

Upon our arrival, the staff immediately greeted us warmly and helped us with check-in. They also explained the hotel pet policy to us, from the 75 lbs maximum weight limit and the extra pet of $50 for a 4-night stay and $75 for longer. Furthermore, other than dogs, cats are also welcome. With that said, the pet policy and fee were quite a bargain since the hotel is ideally located.

Furthermore, even though our pets weren’t allowed to be left unattended in the room, we had no problem taking turns enjoying the hotel’s facilities. Other than that, we’d spent quality time lazing around in our comfortable guestroom. When we need to take our dogs for walks, the Boise River Greenbelt trail is conveniently just a few minutes away.

It’s safe to say that it’s not just a hotel; it’s a haven for both humans and their furry companions. From the get-go, we were impressed with its prime location, nestled in the heart of downtown Boise. The hotel’s urban-chic vibe perfectly complemented the energetic atmosphere of the area whilst still maintaining the core history of the building, making it an ideal spot for a memorable stay.

Overall Best. Our stay at Hotel 43 in Boise impressed us, making it crystal clear why it’s the best choice for pet owners seeking a comfortable experience. Tucked in the heart of downtown Boise, the hotel’s location proved to be a strategic choice for our exploration of the city. In fact, staying at Hotel 43 Boise is an immersive experience itself, as it proudly showcases artworks by local Boise artists.

That aside, the hotel’s very notable affinity towards dogs is the cherry on top. The pet policies exceeded our expectations, with a warm welcome from the staff and a thoughtful array of amenities for our dog. These included a leash, plush dog bed, doggie bag, bowls, and treats. The front desk even provided us with waste bags for our dog’s potty breaks. Despite a $75 pet fee per stay, the hospitality and amenities made our stay worthwhile. Additionally, Hotel 43 contributes to the community by donating a portion of their “Pet Package” proceeds to the Idaho Humane Society.

Furthermore, the hotel’s tasteful and comfortable guestroom only made our experience even better. The room was well-decorated, with ample space for our dog to be comfortable. Although we only had one dog with us, the room could easily fit two dogs without it being too cramped. That said, when we were not lounging in our room, we’d often wind down with our dog on the hotel’s terrace or bike around with him using the hotel’s rental bike.
