Wayfinder Waikiki
11
Wayfinder Waikiki seamlessly merges luxury with pet-friendly accommodations, boasting a captivating infusion of Hawaiian culture evident in its interior design. The hotel’s “home-based” theme fosters a comforting atmosphere, making us feel like we’re in a home away from home.
The attentive staff further enhances our comfort, ensuring our needs are met, and our dogs enjoy a joyful experience amid the beauty of the island. Furthermore, their inclusive pet policy allowed us to bring two of our pups with us with only an extra fee of $35/pet per night. Thankfully, there were no size restrictions, but we weren’t allowed to leave our dogs unattended. We had to take turns checking out the hotel pool and bar, but it wasn’t much of a hassle.
Lastly, since the hotel is so strategically located, we had no problem exploring around the town with our dogs. They simply enjoyed the extended daily walks. So overall, the hotel provided us with all the comforts we needed.

Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach

If you’ve read some of our other lists, you’ll see that we’ve been to plenty of Hilton Garden hotels, that’s why on this list we didn’t hesitate to include Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach. We can expect this particular Hilton Garden hotel to give us nothing short of excellent hospitality. And to our delight, it was exactly what we got.
The well-trained staff were always attentive to our needs, especially since we brought an extra feline guest with us. Even though the pet fee was $125 per stay, it was worth the luxury experience we got. Plus, the fee includes two pets, either cats or dogs, for a 4-night stay. There was also a maximum size restriction of 75 lbs, but our cats were well within it. And if your pets are medium-sized, you’ll be fine.
Furthermore, it doesn’t hurt that the hotel also had an array of facilities, with the pool and outdoor patio being our favorite ones. As for the guestroom, ours was very well-appointed and clean and had ample amenities and a balcony. Suffice it to say that both we and our cat were comfortable.

Located in the serene heart of Kapolei, the Embassy Suites by Hilton Oahu Kapolei strikes the perfect balance between tranquility and accessibility. We could find lush landscapes around the hotel, and pristine beaches were just nearby. When we’re not spending time in the hotel, we’d take a short drive with our dogs to Ko Olina Beach or have a fun day at the Coral Crater Adventure Park.
Furthermore, what sets Embassy Suites apart is its warm embrace of pets. The pet policy is not only welcoming but also reasonably priced. With only a pet fee of $75, we were able to bring our two dogs and stay for 4 nights. If you’re planning for a longer stay, there will be an added $50 fee. It’s also worth noting that the size restriction is 75 lb maximum, and cats are also welcome at the hotel.
Moreover, the hotel’s facilities are impressive, offering spacious rooms, comfy beds, and thoughtful amenities. Dedicated dog-friendly areas, including walking spaces, enhance the overall experience. The friendly and accommodating staff exemplify the hotel’s commitment to hospitality. The free breakfasts and poolside were some of our favorite features of the hotel.

We were truly impressed by the exemplary hospitality at Residence Inn by Marriott Oahu Kapolei. The staff were friendly and helped us settle comfortably. The hotel had a more laid-back atmosphere, creating the perfect relaxation background. Plus, their pet policy suited us great. The pet fee was $150 per stay, which included a maximum of two pets weighing 45 lbs maximum.
This time, we only brought one dog with us, and we were pleased to find the pet-friendly room spacious. That way, our pup won’t feel stuffy and has room to move around. There was also a kitchenette and a big couch where our dog could laze around. The bed was incredibly comfy, and as a bonus, we had a view of the whole city.
Much as we enjoyed the room, the free breakfasts were another one of our highlights. We also loved spending time by the pool and biking around town with our dog perched on the bike basket. All in all, we had a lovely time staying at the Residence Inn by Marriott Oahu Kapolei.

Best Pet-Friendly Hotel With A Dog Park. When we say that Paradise Bay Resort is among the best family hotels in Oahu, it includes our furry companion, too. Nestled along the serene shores of Kaneohe Bay, the resort not only presents breathtaking views of the Koolau Mountain range but also boasts an exemplary pet-friendly policy. Both cats and dogs are welcome, with no size restrictions and a maximum of two pets per room. And all of these were only for a pet fee of $29/pet per night.
Our stay with our pet at Paradise Bay was delightful. The pet-friendly accommodations were well-thought-out. We had options between cottages and suites. This time, we opted for a suite that featured a kitchen and a seating area.
While our dog loved lazying in the room, his favorite activity at the resort was running around the designated pet park with his other furry pals. It’s such a thoughtful amenity that we can’t help but appreciate the resort more. The facilities for us humans weren’t lacking either. The resort provided activities ranging from kayaking, paddle-boarding, yoga, and more. Overall, we were thoroughly pampered at Paradise Bay Resort.

The Laylow, Autograph Collection

The Laylow Autograph Collection provided us with elevated dog-friendly accommodation. It had the trifecta of ideal location, excellent hospitality, and a great pet policy. Plus, the hotel is known for its combination of mid-century decor and Hawaiian charm, and we’re always attracted to unique things.
That said, thanks to the hotel’s inclusive pet policy, we were able to bring our cat to this Oahu adventure with us. Granted, the hotel does have some restrictions, including only allowing 1 dog/cat under 50 lbs per room. There’s also a fee of $150 per stay. But, with the fee, there are also benefits for our pets. We were kindly provided with bowls for our pet and a grassy area for their potty time.
We were also allowed to leave our crated pet unattended while indulging in the hotel’s facilities. Which to say were a lot. Their saltwater pool was a classic; we just had to check out the hotel’s famous Hideout Restaurant.

Queen Kapiolani Hotel

When it comes to luxury, the Queen Kapiolani Hotel excels in it. Our experience staying here made us feel like a thousand bucks. It’s also amazing that we got to experience this with our dogs since the hotel had such an affinity for pets. Their pet policy was inclusive to both cats and dogs, and each room is allowed two pets with a maximum combined weight of 100 lbs.
While the pet fee was on the pricier side of $250 per stay, it was worth the luxury and services we got here. The hotel has direct access to Kuhio Beach, where we could enjoy hours playing around with our dogs. Our room was also a luxury in itself, equipped with an incredible view, all sorts of amenities, and treats for our dogs. When our dogs were napping in their crates, we were allowed to leave them unattended in the room while we enjoyed the other hotel facilities. We made sure not to miss out on the pool and yoga classes.
Furthermore, the staff were always one step ahead of all our needs, which only made our stay all the better. They even provided us with a pet-friendly directory, showing all the nearby pet-friendly shops, restos, and stores. It’s no wonder that Queen Kapiolani also ended up as number 1 on our best boutique hotels in Oahu list.

Best Pet Amenities. Turtle Bay Resort might be one of the most luxurious pet-friendly hotels in Oahu that we’ve been to. Celebrities frequented this sort of resort to get the height of luxury hospitality. While in Oahu with our dog, we figured, why not go all in and experience that ourselves?
That said, this resort was truly unlike any other. It’s located in Kahuku, with Turtle Bay all to itself, so privacy is a guaranteed feature. With this sort of attention to detail, we weren’t shocked that the pet fee starts at $300 for dogs weighing under 25 lbs and $500 for ones over 35 lbs. However, their pet amenities do amount to the fee. Our dog was provided with a cushy dog bed, a leash, chew toys, and plenty of treats. Plus, the staff were kind enough to provide dog-sitting and dog-walking services.
While our dog was in the safe hands of the staff, we’d take the time to luxuriate ourselves in the resort’s many facilities. We did horseback riding, surfing, tennis matches, and spa treatments. We also made sure to not miss out on the resort’s Championship golf course. For fun activities with our dog, we prefer hiking around the resort’s premises and taking him to the resort’s private beach with us.

Best Atmosphere. Our stay at White Sands Hotel in Honolulu surpassed expectations, making it an exemplary choice for pet owners seeking a dog-friendly haven on Oahu. The hotel, boasting a chic-bohemian vibe in its decor, provided a unique and stylish atmosphere that set the tone for a memorable experience. We also loved how retro-feeling the guestroom was; it had a vibrant palette, which suited well with Honolulu’s tropical background. Most importantly, the room was comfortable for both us and our pet dog.
Furthermore, situated in a prime location in Honolulu, the White Sands Hotel allowed us to explore the vibrant city and enjoy the nearby beaches effortlessly. What truly made this hotel an instant fave for us was its thoughtful, pet-friendly approach. The “Fur-Everyone” package, with a reasonable $35 per pet per night fee, ensured our furry companion felt just as pampered as we did. Plus, the hotel didn’t hold back in giving our dog her own amenities, which included a dog bag, water and food bowls, and tasty treats. As for the hotel’s pet policy as a whole, the hotel allows a maximum of two dogs per room, but sadly, cats weren’t allowed.

Overall Best. The moment we got to Surfjack Hotel and Swim Club, we were immediately welcomed by an excited “Aloha” from the staff. From the get-go, we knew that we would enjoy our stay here, especially since the hotel doesn’t charge any extra fees for our pet dogs. In fact, their pet policy includes plenty of benefits, from allowing us a maximum of two dogs per room with no size restrictions and having complimentary dog walking services. The hotel even has a cute canine concierge, Jack, who could be our dogs’ designated playdates!
Furthermore, it was a double delight when the hotel had the classic Hawaiian chic atmosphere. Splashes of bright colors can be found everywhere at the hotel, creating a fresh and exciting vibe to the hotel. It’s also located in Honolulu, just off of Waikiki, so all the hip pet-friendly places were nearby. When we’re not lounging by the pool with our dogs, or lazying around in our swanky guestroom, we’d just stroll around the area and make the most of our Oahu vacation.
