Kahala Beach Apartment
11
We always try not to leave our furry best friend behind, even when we’re traveling. That’s why finding the right pet-friendly accommodation is a must. Enter the Kahala Beach Apartment. This apartment welcomes well-behaved canine companions, though it is limited to one pup per stay and there’s a 20 lbs weight limit. However, our dog loved it a lot. It was seriously roomy, offering plenty of places for each of us to unwind. Our dog was able to sprawl out comfortably at all times.
Our favorite feature, though, was the private outdoor patio. Imagine relaxing on the balcony with your pup, sipping coffee, and breathing in the fresh Hawaiian air while enjoying the beautiful tropical scenery. Pure bliss! There’s even a table and chairs, perfect for al fresco meals or evening drinks. What’s more, everything in the apartment felt fresh and sparkly clean. The kitchen was fully equipped, so whipping up meals was always easy. Between the comfy digs, the stunning location, and the thoughtful amenities, Kahala Beach Apartments truly exceeded our expectations.

Calm & Quiet New Waikiki Studio

Who says traveling with a pet is always a hassle? If you’re visiting Waikiki, stay at this Calm & Quiet New Waikiki Studio. This studio apartment was the ideal home base for anyone with a pet under 20 lbs to explore the island. Thanks to this accommodation, we didn’t have to worry about finding pet-sitting or boarding, and our pup could relax in the room with me after a day of adventures. While Waikiki can be bustling, the studio offers a peaceful retreat. The city skyline view from the 8th floor was a lovely bonus.
The well-equipped kitchenette was another favorite amenity of ours. We were able to whip up some light meals and snacks, saving money on eating out every meal. We were also able to make our dog his favorite pancake. The microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and stovetop were perfect for quick bites, and there were plenty of dishes and utensils to use. Also, the bed was fantastic. It was cozier than we expected.

Looking for pet friendly rentals in Honolulu that embody the Aloha spirit? Look no further than the Peace in Paradise. This place welcomed our four-legged family member with open arms, making our stay truly relaxing. Together with our dog, we enjoyed the stunning Pacific views, especially at sunset. The trade winds kept things cool, and having access to the lanai and lawn was ideal for spending quality time together. Though not huge, this place was very homey for us.
Peace in Paradise struck the perfect balance between peace and proximity. We were far enough from Waikiki to avoid the crowds, but close enough for a day trip if we wanted. Right across the street, Kapiolani Park offered a beautiful green escape. Though our dog couldn’t spend time in the park, he seemed to enjoy being around it. Not to mention, the area around our place was pedestrian-friendly, so we could take our dog for a walk easily. Even better, Diamond Head was just a short walk away for some unforgettable pet-friendly hikes.

Allure Waikiki Condo

Best for Families. Based on our experience, the Allure Waikiki Condo was pure aloha magic. First of all, we didn’t have to pay any extra fee for our dog, which was a huge plus for us. On top of that, the condo offered stunning 270-degree views of the mountains, ocean, and Diamond Head from the wraparound lanai. We spent mornings sipping coffee and watching the sunrise over the Pacific, and evenings unwinding with a glass of wine as the city lights twinkled below. Our dog? He was there along with us, appreciating the beauty of Waikiki. It truly doesn’t get much better than that.
Inside, you can expect a spacious living room. It was big enough for us to spread out, and the cozy couches were our dog’s favorite spot for some cuddling time. We didn’t expect it, but the kitchen was amazing. It had everything we needed and more. Meanwhile, our bedrooms were bright and airy, with high-quality linens that ensured a restful sleep. Even our four-legged buddy was sleeping like a baby. And if you’re bringing your kids, they can sleep in the bunk beds. Also, it was a big plus that the condo came with games and toys, keeping our dog entertained while we unpacked.

Sensational Seaside Condo

Just a block from the beach, the location of this Sensational Seaside Condo is hard to match. We are huge beachgoers, and so is our dog. Hence, this condo was perfect for us. We didn’t have to lug our beach gear long distances. All it took was a quick walk and we were already sinking our toes and paws in the sand. Our furry friend particularly loved the walks to the beach. To make everything better, the condo also gave us beach chairs, beach towels, and toys.
Finding pet-friendly accommodations in Hawaii can be tricky, so we were delighted that Sensational Seaside Condo welcomes furry guests up to 20 lbs. Our corner unit on the 9th floor was amazing. The large lanai offered stunning city, mountain, and partial ocean views. As you can imagine, it was our go-to spot for relaxation with a cup of coffee. Our fido loved sniffing the fresh air while watching the world go by below. When we were hungry, we would head to the kitchen and make something for everyone. Meanwhile, evenings were spent unwinding in the living room, enjoying the large TV with our dog.

With over 2,000 sq ft of space, Hale Mahalo was the perfect base for us and our dog. This place is just a two-minute drive from Waikiki Beach, so we could always hit the waves whenever we wanted. Plus, the neighborhood felt extremely safe for walks. There’s even a handy minivan included in the rental, which made getting around the island with our four-legged friend a breeze.
The house came fully equipped with everything we needed, from a stocked kitchen to a large-screen TV for movie nights. The highlight for us was definitely the private balcony hot tub. It allowed us to soak in the breathtaking panoramic views after a day of adventure. Our dog, on the other hand, probably loved the comfy beds the most. He always fell asleep faster than we could. That made the 30 USD pet fee worth it!

Hale Wa’a

We highly recommend Hale Wa’a for travelers with pets. First and foremost, this rental welcomes furry companions. They allow up to two pets weighing 50 lbs each, which is great for most pups. It didn’t take long for our furry friend to get comfortable and explore the property. He wasn’t cooped up during our stay. We also loved how the guesthouse was separate from the main house, offering us complete privacy. Sandy beaches, you said? There’s a secluded beach only a five-minute walk away. We spent almost every morning with our dog there.
The two bedrooms and bathrooms easily accommodated our group, including our furry pal. Meanwhile, the downstairs living area was great for relaxing evenings, and the provided beach gear rental package was a huge plus. Everything there made us feel like we were home. The kitchen was well-equipped for making meals, and the comfy beds ensured a good night’s sleep for everyone. Having basic toiletries like shampoo and body soap provided was a nice touch, too. They even offered us extra towels!

Best Outdoor Space. Another great addition to this list is Hale Lillikoi, and this place was a banger. Our dog felt right at home in this spacious four-bedroom house rental. The 30 USD nightly pet fee was reasonable for us, especially considering the ample space for him to roam around. We’re not just talking about a huge living area and bedrooms but also a big outdoor play area. Our dog loved to enjoy the warm Hawaiian sun and spend his time outside.
The views from this house are truly unforgettable. We spent many mornings just relaxing on the balcony, soaking up the scenery with our furry friend by our side. Although technically 2 miles from Waikiki Beach, the complimentary eight-seater minivan made exploring the island a breeze. This feature is especially useful if you have a senior dog that can’t walk for a long time. Also, we ended most of our days in the seven-person hot tub. Perfect!

Most Comfortable. If you want to experience the city like a local, stay at this Waterfront Home near Beach, one of the top rentals in Honolulu pet friendly. This 3-bedroom haven offered stunning views, ample amenities, and a relaxed atmosphere perfect for unwinding, covering everything we needed. Nestled in a safe community, the house boasts panoramic vistas of the marina, ocean, and swaying palm trees. It’s ideally situated for those who want to experience the beauty of Oahu without the Waikiki crowds. We loved taking walks with our pup along the water’s edge or relaxing in the grassy park area directly accessible from the lanai. That said, you should note that this place only welcomes one pet under 50 lbs.
The best part? This place is a beach bum’s dream! We were just a short walk from several local beaches, and the hosts even provided beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, snorkels, toys, and a cooler. Plus, with no crowds, our dog could splash around worry-free. After a day at the beach, the comfortable living room is the best place to be. The house is well-equipped for both relaxation and remote work, with a sparkling community pool, smart home technology, and a fully stocked kitchen. Throughout our trip, our dog never stopped wagging his tail.

Oasis Luxury Condo

We enjoyed our stay at the Oasis Luxury Condo, and there’s no reason for you not to feel the same. As soon as we walked in, the spacious living room felt instantly welcoming. We crashed on the comfy sofa after a long flight, and our pup loved curling up with the provided throws. We even chilled out watching some Netflix on the TV. Moreover, the kitchen was a huge perk for us. We could whip up light meals thanks to the full range of appliances, including a Keurig for that morning coffee fix. Plus, our dog appreciated the leftovers. We enjoyed breakfast on the cute balcony, soaking up the tropical vibes.
The bedroom was a real highlight. The bright neon lights and plant wall gave it a super trendy feel, just like a luxury hotel room. Our little friend enjoyed napping under the bed, and the queen-sized bed was perfect for a good night’s sleep. Best of all, we would wake up to the ocean breeze wafting through the balcony doors each morning. Also, our bathroom was sleek and spotless, with a spacious shower that was perfect for rinsing off after a day at the beach. And if you’re wondering, this condo welcomes both dogs and cats up to 20 lbs.
“Beautiful, comfy, and spacious, this luxurious condo spoilt us and our dog like we were royalty.”

Manoa Valley

Best Location. Finding a pet-friendly place in Honolulu can be tough, but Manoa Valley welcomed our furry friend with open arms (as well as a small fee of 250 USD). One of the highlights of this rental is its location. Throughout our stay, we were close to some incredible hiking trails. Better yet, many of them were pet-friendly, perfect for exploring with our dog. When we wanted some beach time, Magic Island and Kaimana Beach were just a short drive away. For a dose of culture, the Honolulu Museum of Art was just minutes away by car. Perched on a hill, all of us, including our fido, loved to take in the incredible views of Honolulu and Diamond Head.
Inside this house, you’ll feel a real Hawaiian vibe. Think stained glasses and teak accents. When we had nothing to do, we would relax in the living room, and our dog seemed to enjoy it as well. But our favorite spot was the huge lanai, our go-to place for enjoying meals cooked on the grill and soaking up the scenery. What’s more, this house features two lovely bedrooms. The master suite has a luxurious king-sized bed and a beautiful en-suite bathroom with a soaking tub and separate shower. Meanwhile, the second bedroom comes with a queen-sized bed and its own bathroom.

There are also plenty of pet-friendly hotels and vacation rentals in Waikiki, as well as a number of restaurants with outdoor seating that allow dogs.
Aside from Waikiki, you can also consider staying in Diamond Head. This area is located east of Waikiki and is home to some of Honolulu’s most luxurious resorts. It’s also home to Kahala Beach, a popular spot for swimming, sunbathing, and stand-up paddleboarding. While it caters more to a high-end clientele, there are still pockets of pet-friendly accommodations.
Then, there’s Kakaako. It’s an up-and-coming neighborhood located just east of Waikiki and is home to a number of trendy restaurants, shops, and art galleries. Kakaako is also home to Kakaako Waterfront Park, a great place to take your dog for a walk or a swim. While there aren’t many beaches here, it offers a more local and modern vibe compared to Waikiki.
