It’s a lively area with bars, restaurants, and music venues. You can have gorgeous Mount Rainier views from certain areas, and the beautiful campus is open to the public for calming walks.

West Seattle
If you like the quiet life, then West Seattle is for you. Living in West Seattle gives you the feeling of being in a small town while living in a big city, which could be a great transitional space for people moving away from small-town life. There are homes to suit various budgets here, meaning the community is made up of a kaleidoscope of Washingtonians. There are views for days here: you can look across Puget Sound, catch a glimpse of the city, and take Sunday drives along the water every day of the week. Fremont
Fremont has always been known as a quirky, artistic neighborhood. Though gentrification ironed out a few of those quirks, it has yet to detract from the area’s character. The foodie scene takes pride of place in Ballard. If you head to Ballard Old Town, you’ll encounter one of the restaurant hubs of the city. There are dive bars, markets, food trucks, gourmet eateries, craft breweries, and cafes. Whatever you like to eat, you’ll find it here! Once you are done indulging, you can walk off all your delicious meals in the great outdoors. There’s coastline and woodlands, so you can swim or walk to your heart’s content. There are several birding groups, hiking and general outdoor groups to join, and many a camping weekend to be planned.
