We love luxury and the ocean, so it’s hardly a surprise that we chose Puerto Vallarta for a luxurious and laidback seaside holiday that was a long time coming. Our vacation was all about a gorgeous Old Town, stunning historic attractions, and, of course, some of the world’s most pristine beaches. And we experienced a marvelous serene boutique luxurious stay at Villa Premiere in Puerto Vallarta. This high-end resort is the only resort that’s within walking distance of both downtown and the Malecón Boardwalk. Hence, we were able to experience the very epitome of urban boutique ocean-front luxury in the town.

A grand welcome to an adults-only paradise
As soon as we entered this adults-only Mexican resort, someone greeted us and extracted our luggage gently from our hands. As we were being led to an alcove with two-chair massage setups, we were floored by the upscale serenity of the place. Next, we sipped on delicious welcome drinks as we did our first round of unwinding with a five-minute back and shoulder massage that surely loosened us up after our long journey. Now that was a memorable welcome that will stay with us for a long time! What we also liked about the resort is that since it focuses on romantic relaxation, it’s made itself adults friendly. So, the sun-kissed Mexican ambiance was one of tranquility and relaxation.

A world-class, sea-facing romantic abode
Since we were on a romantic holiday, we were really interested in Villa Premiere’s lineup of suites. Of them all, the Honeymoon Suite had the top billing. And when we were shown to our room, our palatial quarters, we understood why. The spacious double room boasted one of the plushest beds we’ve ever seen, along with all mod-cons expected from a five-star hotel. Besides a minibar, they even had a pillow menu and a scent menu for in-room aromatherapy! Moreover, the granite bathroom was especially luxurious, complete with bespoke bath products and a bathtub.
However, the outdoor sea-facing balcony space made the space stand out from everything we’d ever seen. The covered space featured a gorgeous-looking hot tub and a hammock! We’d spend hours in our sanctuary, cocooned in the bubbling waters of the hot tub or on the hammock, reading or listening to music.
Did you know that we even got our very own personal 24-hour butler? Yes! They helped us unpack, arranged for romantic dinners on the balcony, and even set up candles and rose petals in our jacuzzi!

Romantic dining in a gazebo by the sea
We’d come to Villa Premiere to spend more time with each other. And one of the most amazing experiences here was enjoying a romantic dining experience in a gazebo by the ocean. The staff at the hotel amazed us with a wonderful setup at the end of the stone foundation pier that extends out into the water on the resort’s beach. The picturesque spot has a gazebo with curtains billowing in the breeze. In fact, we had to book it just 24 hours in advance. We were able to enjoy each other’s company by soaking in the wonderful colors of the sunset as the music of the waves soothed us. Moreover, the three-course menu was delicious to the hilt, accompanied by an excellent local and international wine list.

A picturesque private beachfront
Despite Villa Premiere in Puerto Vallarta being a small boutique resort with a limited footprint, we were impressed by the sizable stretch of beach it calls its own. Not just that, but their beach setup features lounge chairs, cabanas, and lovely vibrant-colored Bali beds. We spent an entire day out in the colorful bed with the cool Mexican zephyr enveloping us. But that’s not all. Friendly servers cared for us all day, constantly doing rounds and bringing us food and drinks. Supreme relaxation is a very understated description of the day we spent by the beach.
By evening, we’d retreated to one of the two large and inviting ocean-facing pools, complete with a swim-up bar. In fact, the one closest to the beach where we were even has a giant whirlpool and massaging jets going. After a relaxing swim, we spent even more time lounging on the daybeds, enjoying each other’s company. There are even games and books by the towel stand to add to the fun element!

A rejuvenating experience at the Mind & Soul Spa
One of the standout offerings of the resort is the Mind & Soul Spa, which offers exclusive body treatments, including facials, hydrotherapy, and massages. In fact, the spa even organizes relaxing meditation and yoga sessions at the beach in the morning. We attended them during our stay and found them to be an illuminating experience indeed. Next, we headed to the spa for a couples massage and body treatment, which we’d already pre-booked through the concierge. After having what was one of the most amazing spa experiences ever, we detoxified in the steam and sauna room.

Staying here also allowed us to experience this fantastic Pirate Cruise and Show with Dinner. It was amongst our best nights out in the town, complete with an open bar, dinner, and entertainment.
