Let’s kick off this list with Dere Suites Cappadocia, a gorgeous hotel built right into the cliffside. The stone architecture gives the whole place a magical, old-world feel. From here, we were just a short walk from the historic Kayakapı neighborhood. We also loved being close to Göreme’s iconic Open Air Museum, but quiet enough to enjoy Cappadocia’s slower pace.
Our room was straight out of a fairytale. With arched ceilings, soft lighting, and those cozy cave-like walls, it felt both unique and surprisingly luxurious. The suite we stayed in had a fireplace and a private sitting area. The bathroom was stocked with Molton Brown toiletries, and we loved soaking in the spa bath.
When we weren’t lounging in our room, we spent time enjoying the property itself. Breakfast at the restaurant was generous and delicious, and we loved winding down with a glass of wine in the cellar. The garden and sundeck were perfect for soaking up the atmosphere, and the staff were always ready with recommendations. For those wanting to explore on two wheels, bikes are available to rent.

We’re sure you’ll love the 1811 Cave Hotel as much as we do. This charming hotel is just a short stroll from the Nikolos Monastery and a quick walk to the Urgup Museum. We also loved how easy it was to get around, whether it was hopping on one of their airport transfers from Kayseri or Nevşehir, or signing up for tours to places like the Zelve or Göreme Open-Air Museums. The hotel makes exploring Cappadocia feel effortless.
Inside, the rooms have the perfect balance between rustic charm and modern touches. The heated marble floors in our room were a total treat, especially in the cooler evenings, and little details like the minibar, catering set, and reliable Wi-Fi made our stay even smoother. Waking up to breakfast at the hotel was always a highlight, fueling us for a full day of adventures.
What we loved the most, though, were the shared spaces. We found ourselves lingering on the sun terrace and in the garden, often by the outdoor fireplace with a glass of wine in hand. For more active days, there were yoga and fitness classes. On top of that, the hotel also offers ski-to-door access during the season. Up next is the Taru Cave Suites, which is just an easy stroll to Nikolos Monastery and the Urgup Museum. Not enough? Fret not, as the famous Zelve and Göreme Open-Air Museums are just a short drive away. It was the perfect base for us to explore Cappadocia’s fairy chimneys and cave dwellings, yet it still felt tucked away and peaceful.
Food was definitely a highlight for us. The mix of Indian and Turkish dishes made every meal exciting, and we loved that they catered to vegetarian, vegan, and halal preferences. Breakfast was a feast in itself. Think fresh pastries, hearty local specialties, warm dishes, and endless cups of tea and coffee. Once we were full, we found ourselves lingering in the hotel’s serene garden, soaking in the hot tub, or lounging on the sunny terrace.
We stayed in the Superior King Suite. The private terrace overlooked the garden, and inside, we had both a fireplace and a hot tub. With a spacious living room, a separate bedroom, and a generous bathroom stocked with thoughtful amenities, it was truly a cozy home.

Best Budget. When we checked into Narcissos Cave in Ibrahim Pasa village, we instantly felt like we had stumbled onto a hidden gem. The village itself ended up being one of the highlights of our Cappadocia trip. It was quiet, authentic, and blissfully removed from the tourist crowds. The atmosphere here felt so peaceful, with stunning views all around, and it gave us the perfect balance after spending time in busier parts of the region.
The hotel itself feels more like a boutique stay than a traditional big property, and we loved that about it. Our twin room was spacious and cleverly divided into a sleeping area and a cozy lounge with a sofa. In the mornings, we looked forward to the fresh Turkish breakfast spread, which felt homely and set us up perfectly for the day. While there’s no lunch or dinner service, there are a couple of restaurants within a 10-minute walk.
One of our favorite parts of the stay was climbing up to the rooftop terrace. Sitting there, coffee in hand, and taking in the sweeping views of the village and surrounding valleys was pure magic. Best for Couples. Sacred House is one of the best hotels in Urgup that offers a one-of-a-kind experience. Set inside a 250-year-old Greek mansion, this place doesn’t just offer a bed for the night; it also gives you an experience you’ll carry long after you’ve left. The moment we walked through the stone archways, we were surrounded by history and drama, with every corner whispering stories of the past.
The rooms here are unlike anything we’ve ever seen on our travels. Each one has its own theme, from “myth” to “dream,” and they’re filled with whimsical touches like brass bathtubs, medieval-style beds, silken drapes, and even altars. It felt more like living in a piece of art. We made sure not to miss dinner, which was an intimate affair served in a cozy cellar, where traditional Anatolian flavors arrived on antique plates that matched the setting perfectly.
Sacred House also has a restaurant, Angels & the Searchers, where mornings started with rich Turkish breakfasts and evenings carried on with refined dishes inspired by both local and international cuisines. Between meals, we spent time in the library flipping through old books, feeling like we’d stumbled into a secret study.

Kayata Cave Suites Special Class has that perfect blend of traditional cave-style architecture with a cozy, boutique feel. Our room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We’re talking about plush linens, a modern bathroom, and a flat-screen TV, but what really stood out was the cave-like design. Some rooms even feature jacuzzis, which we couldn’t help but envy after spotting them during our tour of the property.
Our mornings started with a generous continental breakfast, and we quickly learned why guests rave about it. Food was another highlight. The Caverna Restaurant made dining feel magical, carved right into the rock with plenty of family-friendly options for little ones. When we weren’t out adventuring, we found cozy corners to unwind. We’re talking about a library stacked with books on Cappadocia, a collection of jazz and classical CDs to set the mood, and a wide-screen tucked into the old mansion for an impromptu movie night.
But what really made our stay special was the people. The staff went above and beyond, sharing tips about hidden cave churches and nearby underground cities that we never would’ve found on our own. The hotel sits inside a historic 1853 mansion, and from the moment we walked through its stone archways, we felt like we were stepping back in time. While we were there, we loved sipping wine on the terrace bar while the sky turned shades of pink and gold. You can also sink into the quiet courtyard for a slower, more intimate vibe.
Our cave suite was unlike anywhere we’ve stayed before. Each of the 21 rooms is individually designed, but ours had this cocoon-like atmosphere with antique-style furniture, heavy textiles, and those rustic stone walls that make Cappadocia so iconic. Best Activities. For a memorable adventure, Hanedan Cappadocia Suites has to be one of the most enchanting hotels in Urgup Cappadocia. Tucked away in Mustafapaşa, the hotel feels worlds apart from the busier, tourist-heavy parts of the region. The town itself has a quiet charm, framed by dramatic valleys and honey-colored stone houses, and the hotel sits perfectly within this peaceful setting.
Inside, the rooms are nothing short of regal. We loved how the cave-like walls were softened by plush fabrics, traditional Turkish rugs, and ornate metal bed frames that made the space feel both luxurious and homely. Every corner seemed carefully thought out. Not to mention, our suite even opened up to sweeping views of Cappadocia’s surreal landscapes.

Tucked away in Urgup’s quiet Esbelli district, Serinn House felt like a breath of fresh air. With just five rooms, it has that cozy, intimate vibe where you instantly feel at home. We also loved the ever-welcoming host, Eren Serpen, who speaks multiple languages and has a knack for making everyone feel like an old friend. Our room opened up to a sweeping mountain view that we found ourselves lingering over every morning, coffee in hand.
What we loved the most, though, was how different Serinn feels compared to many other hotels in Urgup Cappadocia. Instead of the usual kilims and carved artifacts, the design here leans toward soft pastel tones and lots of natural light. We especially loved spending time on the wide terrace, where the views over Urgup stretch out endlessly. Even though it’s run as a B&B, we never felt limited. Within a 10-minute stroll, we were in town enjoying some of the best local restaurants.
Moreover, thanks to the garden, bar, and outdoor seating area, there was always a peaceful spot to unwind. On cooler evenings, we gravitated toward the lounge and coffee shop area. Families seemed especially comfortable here thanks to the indoor play area, but honestly, we think Serinn works for anyone.

Best Luxury. Nothing compares to our experience at Kayakapi Premium Caves Cappadocia. The hotel is set within a UNESCO-supported renovation project. Tucked into the hillside above Urgup, the property is a magical mix of romance, culture, and charm, making it just as perfect for a couple’s escape as it is for a family celebration or even an educational adventure.
Our cave suite was nothing short of extraordinary. Each room here has its own character, and ours came with a fireplace and a stone bathtub that looked like it belonged in an ancient palace. Some rooms on this property have private hammam saunas, while others feature sunlit courtyards or terraces overlooking the valley. On hot afternoons, the pool was our favorite spot to cool off with hot-air balloons above us, and the spa’s massage treatments were the perfect way to wind down after exploring.
Foodies will be thrilled to know the hotel is home to Revithia, Cappadocia’s first and only tasting menu restaurant, and it’s 100% worth it. Every dish felt like a little love letter to the region, and dining there was easily one of the highlights of our stay. Best of all, the hotel is just a short walk from Urgup’s town center, right in the heart of Göreme National Park, so we could explore the fairy chimneys and historic valleys without ever straying far.
